Abstract Stoichiometric thin films of lead titanate (PbTiO3) have been grown “in situ” without postannealing on (0001) sapphire substrates by rf magnetron sputtering technique. X-ray diffraction scans have revealed that as-grown films consist of the perovskite phase and are polycrystalline with a high (111) orientation. The structure, the microstructure and the optical properties have been studied as a function of the process parameters i.e., substrate temperature, gas pressure and the target composition, in particular the lead content. We report the dependence of the deposition conditions on the optical constants. The optimum experimental conditions (100m Torr and 600°C) to produce thin films with high transparency and refractive indices (n = 2.61 at 633 nm), similar to values for bulk materials, are given in this paper. 相似文献

The goal of this paper is to show how it is possible to support design decisions with two different tools relying on two kinds of knowledge: case-based reasoning operating with contextual knowledge embodied in past cases and constraint filtering that operates with general knowledge formalized using constraints. Our goals are, firstly to make an overview of existing works that analyses the various ways to associate these two kinds of aiding tools essentially in a sequential way. Secondly, we propose an approach that allows us to use them simultaneously in order to assist design decisions with these two kinds of knowledge. The paper is organized as follows. In the first section, we define the goal of the paper and recall the background of case-based reasoning and constraint filtering. In the second section, the industrial problem which led us to consider these two kinds of knowledge is presented. In the third section, an overview of the various possibilities of using these two aiding decision tools in a sequential way is drawn up. In the fourth section, we propose an approach that allows us to use both aiding decision tools in a simultaneous and iterative way according to the availability of knowledge. Cupric ion fixation by raw peat is likely involved in both cation exchange with H+, Ca2+, Mg2+ and adsorption-complexation, i.e. fixation of the same equivalent of copper ions and anions (NO3−) without any ion release. The importance of both reactions depends largely on initial copper concentration, peat type and pH. Isotherms of copper (initial concentration ranging between 1 and 20 mM) fixation on two types of peat (eutrophic and oligotrophic peat at 30 g d.w./l at pH ranging between 2 and 4) showed that the higher the initial cupric concentration, the more important is this complexation reaction; over this initial cupric concentration range, ion exchange sites were relatively saturated and reached 308 and 101 mmol/kg d.w. for eutrophic and oligotrophic peat whereas no saturation was found for complexation sites, their capacity attaining up to 74 and 119 mmol/kg d.w., respectively.
The apparent equilibrium constant for ion exchange with acid-treated peat (initial pH 4.0, 30 g d.w./l) for various metal binding on both peat sites ranged between 1.1 and 10.8 in 15 mM metallic solutions. The apparent affinity in batch conditions for 5 elements may be compared according to the apparent global equilibrium constants, ranging between 1.1 × 10−6 and 20.2 × 10−6: Pb > Cu > Ca > Mg, Zn for eutrophic peat and Pb > Ca > Cu > Mg, Zn for oligotrophic peat. 相似文献

In this paper, the lubrication mechanism of fatty acids is revisited with a new approach combining experimental and computational chemistry studies. The lubricating properties of single and mixtures of stearic, oleic and linoleic acids in a synthetic Poly-Alpha-Olefin base oil (PAO4) on iron oxide surface are investigated under mixed boundary regime with temperatures from 50 °C up to 150 °C. Low friction coefficient (about 0.055) with no visible wear is reported in the presence of single stearic acid at high temperature. This lubricating behavior is inhibited in the presence of unsaturated fatty acids highlighting an anti-synergic effect of a saturated/unsaturated mixture, especially at 150 °C. To understand the anti-synergic effect and the adsorption mechanism of these molecules, molecular dynamic (MD) and quantum chemistry simulations are performed to evaluate their diffusion coefficient in PAO4 and their adsorption mechanism on iron oxide at different temperatures. MD simulation results show a faster diffusion toward the surface for unsaturated fatty acids than for saturated fatty acid at all the studied temperatures. This means that unsaturated molecules arrive and mainly adsorb before stearic acid on the surface leading to a tribological behavior of the mixture characteristic of the unsaturated molecule. Computational chemistry suggests that all fatty acids (saturated and unsaturated) adsorption mechanism is due to the chemisorption of the carboxylic group on iron oxide surface with no desorption up to 150 °C. 相似文献

The current trend toward producing lighter vehicles in the automotive industry is driven by the need to conform to the new exhaust emission control regulations. This objective presents a challenge to steel manufacturers. The difficulty lies in designing new alloys with an optimum strength/formability/cost balance for the various components. Here, the key to success lies in controlling the steel microstructure and especially the phase transformations at the smallest possible scale. Among the different alloying elements, light elements such as carbon and boron are of prime importance due to their major effects on the kinetics of phase transformations. Characterization tools combining high spatial and analytical resolution such as secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) and field emission gun-transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used. In this article, the examples presented are as follows. (1) Boron segregation and precipitation effects to control hardenability in martensitic steels. (2) Local carbon distribution in advanced high-strength steels, with a specific emphasis on martensite tempering. Early stages of recrystallization in alloys containing complex structure of second phase particles are of considerable practical interest. They were observed for the AA3104 alloy in which large particles occur against the background of randomly distributed dispersoids. The samples were deformed by equal channel angular pressing and then slightly annealed to obtain the state of partial recrystallization. The highly deformed alloy contained a structure of flat grains with the spacing between high-angle grain boundaries ranging from 100 nm to 1 ??m. On annealing, the structure coarsened and got transformed into nearly equiaxed grains by both discontinuous and continuous recrystallization. The nucleation of new grains was observed in statically recrystallized bulk samples using scanning electron microscopy, and during in-situ recrystallization in a transmission electron microscope. Special attention was paid to the nucleation of new grains in areas close to large second phase particles, where a relatively high stored energy was expected to stimulate nucleation. A particular role in the rise of nuclei is attributed to migration of low angle boundaries. During recrystallization at 623 K (350?°C), in most of the observed cases, the growth of grains occurred by coalescence of neighbouring cells and by migration of high-angle grain boundaries. These processes led to nearly equiaxed grains of similar size. Orientation mappings showed that although orientations of new grains were widely scattered, they were not completely random. 相似文献

Three studies tested the idea that when social identity is salient, group-based appraisals elicit specific emotions and action tendencies toward out-groups. Participants' group memberships were made salient and the collective support apparently enjoyed by the in-group was measured or manipulated. The authors then measured anger and fear (Studies 1 and 2) and anger and contempt (Study 3), as well as the desire to move against or away from the out-group. Intergroup anger was distinct from intergroup fear, and the inclination to act against the out-group was distinct from the tendency to move away from it. Participants who perceived the in-group as strong were more likely to experience anger toward the out-group and to desire to take action against it. Preschool children are more susceptible to misleading postevent information than are older children and adults. One reason for young children's suggestibility is their failure to monitor the source of their memories, as in, for example, discriminating whether an event was seen live versus on television. The authors investigated whether source-monitoring training would decrease preschoolers' suggestibility. Thirty-six 3-4-year-olds observed target live and video events and were then given source-monitoring or recognition (control) training on nontarget events. Following training, all children answered 24 misleading and nonmisleading target-event questions. Children given source-monitoring training were more accurate than control group children in response to misleading and nonmisleading yes-no questions and in response to nonmisleading, open-ended questions.
