We report on the reliability properties of ferroelectric capacitors and memory arrays embedded in a 130-nm CMOS logic process with 5LM Cu/FSG. Low voltage (<1.5 V) operation is enabled by the 70-nm thick MOCVD PZT ferroelectric films. Data loss resulting from high temperature bakes is primarily caused by the imprint effect, which shows /spl sim/1.5 eV time-to-fail activation energy. Excellent bit endurance properties are observed on fully packaged memory arrays, with no degradation up to 10/sup 13/ write/read polarization switching cycles. This article describes OAM in MPLS layer 2 transport networks. MPLS networks used to transport layer 2 traffic are referred to as MPLS layer 2 transport networks. They may be used to connect legacy layer 2 networks and/or provide layer 2 service to a user over a MPLS network. As legacy layer 2 networks migrate to use MPLS for transport, the role of MPLS OAM mechanisms is becoming increasingly important. This is because the converged network must offer the same OAM functionality as existing layer 2 networks. This article emphasizes the importance of end-to-end OAM, while emulating existing layer 2 services using MPLS transport. End-to-end fault detection is described in the context of various layer 2 over MPLS transport network models. The article focuses on state-of-the-art MPLS label switched path and pseudo wire OAM mechanisms being developed by the IETF. This includes fault detection and isolation mechanisms such as LSP-Ping, bidirectional forwarding detection, and virtual circuit connectivity verification. The applicability of each of these mechanisms is given. In some cases it may be possible to carry layer 2 OAM cells end-to-end, while in other cases this may not be possible. The relationship between segment-based OAM mechanisms and end-to-end OAM is described for each of these cases. 相似文献

Recent studies suggest that estrogen replacement therapy can reduce the risk and severity of Alzheimer's disease (AD)-related dementia in postmenopausal women. Many different mechanisms by which estrogen therapy may help to reduce the risk and severity of AD-related pathophysiology have been proposed. Recent animal studies suggest that one way in which estrogen replacement may help to reduce cognitive deficits associated with aging and AD is by enhancing the functional status of cholinergic projections to the hippocampus and cortex. Here we review the evidence that estrogen is important in the maintenance of cholinergic neurons projecting to the hippocampus and cortex and that estrogen replacement can enhance the functional status of these neurons, as well as reduce cognitive deficits associated with muscarinic cholinergic impairment. Based on these studies, we conclude that, in animals, short-term treatment with physiological levels of estrogen, or estrogen and progesterone, has significant positive effects on cholinergic neurons in the medial septum and nucleus basalis magnocellularis and on their projections to the hippocampus and cortex. We hypothesize that similar effects in humans may help delay the decline in basal forebrain cholinergic function associated with aging and AD and thereby reduce the risk and severity of AD-related dementia in postmenopausal women. 相似文献

Rural schoolchildren between the ages of 6 and 18 years were screened for residual paralysis following poliomyelitis; 503 (0.85%) out of a total of 58,592 were victims. Of these, only 16 (3.8%) had received poliomyelitis vaccine, while the remainder had not been immunised. The disease had occurred before the age of 4 years in nearly 90%, the lower limbs being affected (98%) more often than the upper (2%). In the lower limbs, the quadriceps, hip adductors and tibialis anterior were frequently affected. The muscles supplied by the L4 and L5 spinal segments were most commonly involved, while those supplied by L1 and S3 were least. Some order does exist in the apparently irregular distribution of paralysis after poliomyelitis. 相似文献
