We investigate the relative power of jumps, nondeterminism, and number of heads for real-time automata. Results include showing that jumps and power that cannot be compensated for by nondeterminism and more heads. We also show that k+1 heads are more powerful than k heads, even if the finite automaton is allowed head to head jumps.  相似文献

Background: The aim of this work was to study the new bone tissue formation after bone morphogenetic protein type 2 (rhBMP‐2) and P‐1 application, using 5 and 10 μg of each, combined to a material carrier, in critical bone defects. Methods: It was used 70 Wistar rats (male, ~250 g) that were divided in 10 groups with seven animals on each. Groups are the following: critical bone defect only, pure monoolein gel, 5 μg of pure P‐1, 5 μg of pure rhBMP‐2, 5 μg of P‐1/monoolein gel, 5 μg of rhBMP‐2/monoolein gel, 10 μg of pure P‐1, 10 μg of pure rhBMP‐2, 10 μg of P‐1/monoolein gel, 10 μg of rhBMP‐2/monoolein gel. Animals were sacrificed after 4 weeks of the surgical procedure and the bone samples were submitted to histological, histomorphometrical, and immunohistochemical evaluations. Results: Animals treated with pure P‐1 protein, in both situations with 5 μg and 10 μg, had no significant difference (P > 0.05) for new bone formation; other groups treated with 10 μg were statistically significant (P < 0.05) among themselves and when compared with groups in which it was inserted the monoolein gel or critical bone defect only (P < 0.05). In the group involving the 10 μg rhBMP‐2/monoolein gel association, it was observed an extensive bone formation, even when compared with the same treatment without the gel carrier. Conclusion: Using this experimental animal model, more new bone tissue was found when it was inserted the rhBMP‐2, especially when this protein was combined to the vehicle, and this process seems to be dose dependent. This work reports the preparation and characterization of copolymer poly-{styrene-acrylic acid} with monomeric ratio of styrene/acrylic acid of 9:1 using benzoyl peroxide as initiator and furthermore filled with nanosilver (25 ppm and 50 ppm) in water/acetone (1:40 v/v). The nanosilver emulsion was obtained from chemical reduction using NaBH4 as reducing agent and sodium citrate as the stabilizer. The preparation of nanosilver emulsion was monitored by the appearance of a Plasmon Resonant Absorption band in a UV–visible spectrophotometer and the particles sizes were observed through TEM. Microbiological studies were performed to investigate the antimicrobial activity of this new material against the microorganisms Escherichia coli (ATCC-25922) and Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC-6538), used as reference strains. The antimicrobial activity of the poly-{styrene-acrylic acid} filled with nanosilver was confirmed by the presence of an inhibition halo of the bacterial growth in seeded culture media, but was not found with the poly(styrene-acrylic acid) alone. The present work suggests that silver ions are released from the polymeric matrix to the culture media and have the ability to tune the Ag+ ions released by controlling the amount of Ag nanoparticles embedded in the composite.  相似文献

Lindenmayer systems are a class of parallel rewriting systems originally introduced to model the growth and development of filamentous organisms. Families of languages generated by deterministic Lindenmayer systems (i.e., those in which each string has a unique successor) are investigated. In particular, the use of nonterminals, homomorphisms, and the combination of these are studied for deterministic Lindenmayer systems using one-sided context (D1Ls) and two-sided context (D2Ls). Languages obtained from Lindenmayer systems by the use of nonterminals are called extensions. Typical results are: The closure under letter-to-letter homomorphism of the family of extensions of D1L languages is equal to the family of recursively enumerable languages, although the family of extensions of D1L languages does not even contain all regular languages. Let P denote the restriction that the system does not rewrite a letter as the empty word. The family of extensions of PD2L languages is equal to the family of languages accepted by deterministic linear bounded automata. The closure under nonerasing homomorphism of the family of extensions of PD1L languages does not even contain languages like {a1,a2,?, an}1--{λ}, n?2 . The closure of the family of PD1L languages under homomorphisms which map a letter either to itself or to the empty word is equal to the family of recursively enumerable languages. Strict inclusion results follow from necessary conditions for a language to be in one of the considered families. By stating the results in their strongest form, the paper contains a systematic classification of the effect of nonterminals, letter-to-letter homomorphisms, nonerasing homomorphisms and homomorphisms for all the basic types of deterministic Lindenmayer systems using context.  相似文献

Improving the tumor reoxygenation to sensitize the tumor to radiation therapy is a cornerstone in radiation oncology. Here, the pre-clinical development of a clinically transferable liposomal formulation encapsulating trans sodium crocetinate (NP TSC) is reported to improve oxygen diffusion through the tumor environment. Early pharmacokinetic analysis of the clinical trial of this molecule performed on 37 patients orient to define the optimal fixed dosage to use in a triple-negative breast cancer model to validate the therapeutic combination of radiation therapy and NP TSC. Notably, it is reported that this formulation is non-toxic in both humans and mice at the defined fixed concentration, provides a normalization of the tumor vasculature within 72 h window after systemic injection, leads to a transient increase (50% improvement) in the tumor oxygenation, and significantly improves the efficacy of both mono-fractionated and fractionated radiation therapy treatment. Together, these findings support the introduction of a first-in-class therapeutic construct capable of tumor-specific reoxygenation without associated toxicities.  相似文献
