The present study was undertaken to evaluate the postoperative relapse from the period of unwiring to 1 year postoperatively and its correlation to the amount of mandibular setback and change in vertical dimension after mandibular bilateral sagittal split osteotomy. Twenty-seven patients were evaluated cephalometrically by the time preoperatively, 6 weeks, 6 months and 1 year postoperatively. It was found that 1) the average amount of mandibular setback at pogonion point, 6 weeks postoperatively, is 7.6mm backward and 1.9mm downward, 2) the average amount of horizontal relapse at pogonion point, 6 months and 1 year postoperatively, are 1.9mm and 2.3mm respectively. 86% of the horizontal relapse, 1 year postoperatively, occurs in the first 6 months after removal of intermaxillary fixation, 3) the average amount of vertical relapse at pogonion point, 6 months and 1 year postoperatively, are 0.9mm and 1.1mm upward. 82% of the vertical relapse, 1 year postoperatively, occurs in the first 6 months after removal of intermaxillary fixation, 4) the amount of 1 year postoperatively horizontal relapse is significantly correlated both with the amount of horizontal mandibular set back and vertical downward change (r = 0.58, 0.67, p < 0.001), whereas the amount of vertical relapse is with the vertical downward change only, but horizontal setback isn't. 相似文献

In this paper,using complex functional theory,the authors turn the potentialflow around the surface irregularities in a pressure conduit and semi-infinite platforms intoDirichlet problem.Based on Schwarz formula and by the application of Plemelj's formula,theauthors change the problem into the integration of a Cauchy boundary integral equation in theflow plane through the substitution of variables.Using numerical integration,the authors obtainthe velocity distribution and pressure coefficient along surface irregularities and platforms.Thephysical concept of this method is clear,the convergent speed is rapid and the computative effi-ciency is high.The calculated values agree well with the measured results.It is an effective andsimple method in solving potential flow. 相似文献

Optical phase conjugation (OPC) of multiwavelength signals in a dispersion-shifted fiber (DSF), which can be used for dispersion compensation in the wavelength division multiplexing communication system, is theoretically studied. The multiwavelength phase-conjugate signals are generated by four-wave mixing (FWM) in the dispersion-shifted fiber. There are the pulse-shape distortion and the induced frequency chirping in the phase-conjugate signals owing to pump depletion and the cross-phase modulation among the signals and phase-conjugate signals, respectively. The FWM among the pump wave, signals, and phase-conjugate signals causes unequal conversion efficiencies for the multiwavelength signals and enhances the induced frequency chirping in the phase-conjugate signals. The induced frequency chirping may deteriorate the restoration of the pulse shape. Both the pulse-shape distortion and induced frequency chirping increase with the signal and pump powers. The formula for the induced frequency chirping that is only caused by the signals through cross-phase modulation is derived. The requirement of the signal power in the dispersion-shifted fiber for the restoration of the pulse shape by the optical phase conjugation is estimated and numerically verified 相似文献

The paper addresses the design of two-level power system stabilizers using an optimal reduced order model whose state variables are torque angles and speeds. The reduced order model retains their physical meaning and is used to design a two-level linear feedback controller that takes into account the realities and constraints of electrical power systems. The two-level control strategy is used, and a global control signal is generated from the output variables to minimize the effect of interactions. The effectiveness of this controller is evaluated and a multimachine system is given as an example to illustrate the advantages of the proposed method. The buried-type p-channel LDD MOSFETs biased at high positive gate voltage exhibit novel characteristics: (1) the ratio of the drain to gate currents is about 1×10-3 to 5×10-3; and (2) the gate and drain currents both are functions of only the gate voltage minus the n-well bias. Such characteristics are addressed based on the formation of the surface n + inversion layer due to the punchthrough of the buried channel to the underlying shallow p-n junction. The measured gate current is due to the Fowler-Nordheim tunneling of electrons from this inversion layer surface and the holes generated within the high-field oxide constitute the drain current. The n+ inversion layer surface potential is found to be equal to the n-well bias plus 0.55 V. As a result, both the oxide field and the gate and drain currents are independent of drain voltage 相似文献
