A kaolin containing 31 wt.% halloysite and a relatively pure kaolin were selected to study the effects of halloysite on the dissolution behavior of precursors and the formation of geopolymers. The Al and Si concentrations in the leached solutions were studied by inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The reaction process of metakaolin–activator mixtures was monitored by isothermal conduction calorimetry (ICC) while the reaction products were examined by X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and mercury intrusion porosity (MIP). Results showed that the halloysite containing kaolin and its metakaolin possessed higher Si and Al dissolution rate than the purer kaolin and its metakaolin. When mixed with sodium silicate activator at 20 °C, the presence of halloysite in kaolin led to a higher geopolymerization rate of metakaolin as reflected by the heat evolution rate. The presence of halloysite improved the reactivity of metakaolin but did not change the geopolymerization pathway under 20 °C air curing and 80 °C steam curing conditions. The products from the two metakaolins had a similar XRD characteristic (i.e. a typically amorphous diffraction). Abstract Distillation separation sequences can be described as binary tree data structures, because of the analogous structures of distillation separation sequences and binary trees, and then by applying graph theory, the change mechanism of neighborhood separation points based on binary trees is built, correspondingly a kind of highly effective, evolutionary neighborhood structure is constructed. For the purpose of researching further tabu search algorithms, adaptive mechanisms and parallel techniques are introduced. That is, according to memory frequency information, the tabu length and the number of candidates are adaptively adjusted, and multitask parallel technology is realized through the arrangement of the search assignments. In order to protect the internal components of an aircraft from the damage caused by high temperature and heat flux, an effective thermal protection structure must be designed and developed. In this paper, heat transfer characteristics for an innovative thermal protection coating structure are investigated, based on three-dimensional photonic crystals (SiC-3D PCs). The actual system with coating material, containing photonic crystals, is simplified as a macroscopic model of one-dimensional coupled conduction–radiation heat transfer among three layers composed of semitransparent media. Moreover, according to preliminary physical parameters, heat transfer profiles and thermal protection efficiency for the whole system are estimated. The effects of ionomer contents were investigated in composite electrodes with in-situ grown single crystal Pt nanowires (Pt-NWs) for PEMFCs, including the amount in the carbon matrix and impregnated on the surface of the electrocatalyst layer. The electrocatalyst layer was prepared by growing Pt-NWs directly on the carbon matrix with a simple one-step wet chemical approach at room temperature. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), polarization curve tests, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and cyclic voltammetry (CV) were employed to evaluate the ionomer effects. The experimental results showed that the ionomer in the carbon matrix had an influence on the ionic conductivity and aggregation and distribution of the Pt-NWs, and the ionomer impregnated on the surface of the electrocatalyst layer affected the mass transport and ionic conductivity. Mitomycin C is one of the most effective chemotherapeutic agents for a wide spectrum of cancers, but its clinical use is still hindered by the mitomycin C (MMC) delivery systems. In this study, the MMC-loaded polymer-lipid hybrid nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared by a single-step assembly (ACS Nano 2012, 6:4955 to 4965) of MMC-soybean phosphatidyhlcholine (SPC) complex (Mol. Pharmaceutics 2013, 10:90 to 101) and biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA) polymers for intravenous MMC delivery. The advantage of the MMC-SPC complex on the polymer-lipid hybrid NPs was that MMC-SPC was used as a structural element to offer the integrity of the hybrid NPs, served as a drug preparation to increase the effectiveness and safety and control the release of MMC, and acted as an emulsifier to facilitate and stabilize the formation. Compared to the PLA NPs/MMC, the PLA NPs/MMC-SPC showed a significant accumulation of MMC in the nuclei as the action site of MMC. The PLA NPs/MMC-SPC also exhibited a significantly higher anticancer effect compared to the PLA NPs/MMC or free MMC injection in vitro and in vivo. These results suggested that the MMC-loaded polymer-lipid hybrid NPs might be useful and efficient drug delivery systems for widening the therapeutic window of MMC and bringing the clinical use of MMC one step closer to reality. 相似文献
