The histamine contents of Turkish style fermented sausages were determined on 46 samples of five different brands obtained from retail stores in Van in Turkey. Histamine was found in all samples in the range 19.64-87.47 mg/kg (mean 32.13 mg/kg). Histamine levels in the brands differed significantly (P<0.01). The results suggest that the histamine levels in the sausages were not hazardous in terms of public health although they may be a potential risk to sensitive individuals.  相似文献

This experimental study focused on improving performance characteristics of a low-heat rejection (LHR) diesel engine operating with biodiesel fuel. To ensure LHR conditions, the cylinder head and valves of the test engine were coated with a Y2O3-ZrO2 (yttria-stabilized zirconia) layer of 0.35?mm thickness over a NiCrAl bond coat of 0.15?mm thickness. The fuel used in the engine tests was produced from sunflower oil with transesterification methods. The engine test results showed that brake-specific fuel consumption (BSFC) and brake thermal efficiency were improved with biodiesel usage and thermal barrier coating (TBC) application. Further, exhaust gas temperature was decreased with use of biodiesel, while it was increased with TBC application.  相似文献

The objective of this study is to analyze dry grinding behavior of four different pumices in terms of Bond grindability value, selection and breakage parameters values. For this purpose, firstly, Bond grindability test were made for four pumices. Then, eight different mono-size fractions for each of pumices were carried out between 1.7 and 0.106 mm formed by a \({\surd 2}\) sieve series, and ground batch wise in a laboratory ball mill for determination of breakage parameters. Finally, S i and B i,j equations were determined from the size distributions at different grinding times, and the model parameters (S i , a T , α, γ, β and \({\phi_{j}}\)) were compared for four different pumice samples.  相似文献

Poly(hydroxyethylmethacrylate), p(HEMA) films were prepared via UV-initiated photo-polymerization. After activation of the hydroxyl groups of p(HEMA) by bromination, surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of glycidylmethacrylate was conducted in dioxane/bipyridine mixture with CuBr as catalyst at 65 °C. The epoxy groups of the poly(glycidylmethacrylate) brushes were converted into amino groups with the reaction of ammonia. The modified p(HEMA-g-GMA)-NH2 films were used as an ion-exchange support for the immobilization of laccase. The influence of pH and initial laccase concentration on the immobilization capacity of the p(HEMA-g-GMA)-NH2 films has been investigated. The amount of immobilized laccase on the p(HEMA-g-GMA)-NH2 films was determined as 139 μg/cm2 films. The recovered activity of the immobilized laccase on the fibrous polymer grafted films was about 71% compared to free enzyme. The maximum activity (Vmax) and Michealis constant (Km) of laccase immobilized on the films, were found to be 15.4 U/mg and 23 mM, respectively. Finally, the immobilized laccase was operated in a batch system for enzymatic oxidation of phenol, p-chlorophenol and aniline.  相似文献

The cooling applications in machining operations play a very important role and many operations cannot be carried out efficiently without cooling. Application of a coolant in a cutting process can increase tool life and dimensional accuracy, decrease cutting temperatures, surface roughness and the amount of power consumed in a metal cutting process and thus improve the productivity. In this review, liquid nitrogen, as a cryogenic coolant, was investigated in detail in terms of application methods in material removal operations and its effects on cutting tool and workpiece material properties, cutting temperature, tool wear/life, surface roughness and dimensional deviation, friction and cutting forces. As a result, cryogenic cooling has been determined as one of the most favourable method for material cutting operations due to being capable of considerable improvement in tool life and surface finish through reduction in tool wear through control of machining temperature desirably at the cutting zone.  相似文献

In this study, novel affinity chromatographic fibers was prepared from methacrylamide grafted poly(ethylene terephthalate), PET-g-pMAA, using benzoylperoxide as an initiator. A dye ligand (i.e., Procion Brown) as a ligand was then covalently immobilized on the different amount of pMAAm grafted PET fibers, (PET-g-pMAAm-PB). The fibers were characterized by surface area measurement, infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Adsorptive properties of the composite fibers were tested using a model protein (i.e., lysozyme). To achieve these purposes, the influence of pH, ionic strength, initial lysozyme concentration, and temperature on adsorption system has been investigated and evaluated. A maximum lysozyme adsorption PET-g-pMAAm-PB fiber was obtained as 43.9 mg g−1 at pH 7.5. The experimental equilibrium data obtained for lysozyme adsorption onto PET-g-pMAAm-PB fibers fitted well to the Langmuir isotherm model. The result of kinetic analyzed for lysozyme adsorption onto affinity fibers showed that the second-order rate equation was favorable. The purity of the eluted lysozyme, as determined by HPLC, was 84% with recovery 73% for PET-g-pMAAm-PB fiber. Experiments on regeneration and dynamic adsorption were also performed. It appears that PET-g-pMAAm-PB fibers can be applied for lysozyme separation without causing any denaturation. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci, 2008  相似文献

Pure polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and polyacrylonitrile/polyaniline (PAN/PAni) hybrid nanofibers (NFs) were produced via electrospinning and used to monitor guanine oxidation in single strand DNA (ssDNA) by electrochemical methods. Two different methodologies were conducted. First, pre‐synthesized PAni was added into electrospinning PAN solution and electrospun into composite PAN/PAni nanofibrous structure on cylindrical pencil graphite (PGE) surface. In the second route, PAN NFs were electrospun on a PGE surfaces and polymerization of PAni was conducted on the surfaces of the as‐spun PAN NFs. NFs were kept at ?18 °C in a refrigerator for several days. ssDNA was immobilized on the prepared NFs and guanine oxidation signals were observed for each system. The results revealed that use of PAN NFs enhanced signal intensity from 0.92 µA (PGE) to 1.04 µA (PAN NFs). Addition of PAni to PAN increased signal intensity to 1.23 µA. When the PAN NF surfaces were coated with PAni, signal enhancement continued to increase up to 4.19 µA for fourth day and decreased again when PAni‐coated NFs were kept at ?18 °C in the refrigerator. This work presents data on human immunoglobulin G (HIgG) adsorption onto L ‐arginine ligand attached poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐based affinity beads which were synthesized from methyl methacrylate (MMA) and glycidiyl methacrylate (GMA) in the presence of a crosslinker (i.e., ethylene glycol dimethacrylate; EGDMA) by suspension polymerization. The epoxy groups of the poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA) beads were converted into amino groups after reaction with ammonia or 1,6‐diaminohexane (i.e., spacer‐arm). With L ‐arginine as a ligand, it was covalently immobilized on the aminated (poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐ AA) and/or the spacer‐arm attached (poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐SA) beads, using glutaric dialdehyde as a coupling agent. Both affinity poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐based beads were used in HIgG adsorption/desorption studies under defined pH, ionic strength, or temperature conditions in a batch reactor, using acid‐treated poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA) beads as a control system. The poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐SA affinity beads resulted in an increase in the adsorption capacity to HIgG compared with the aminated counterpart (i.e., poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐AA). The maximum adsorption capacities of the poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐AA and poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐SA affinity beads were found to be 112.36 and 142 mg g?1, and the affinity constants (Kd), evaluated by the Langmuir model, were 2.48 × 10?7 and 6.98 × 10?7M, respectively. Adsorption capacities of the poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐AA and poly(GMA/MMA/EGDMA)‐SA were decreased with HIgG by increasing the ionic strength adjusted with NaCl. Adsorption kinetic of HIgG onto both affinity adsorbents was analyzed with first‐ and second‐order kinetic equations. Assembly line balancing is the problem of assigning tasks to workstations by optimizing a performance measure while satisfying precedence relations between tasks and cycle time restrictions. Many exact, heuristic and metaheuristic approaches have been proposed for solving simple straight and U-shaped assembly line balancing problems. In this study, a relatively new optimization algorithm, Bacterial Foraging Optimization Algorithm (BFOA), based heuristic approach is proposed for solving simple straight and U-shaped assembly line balancing problems. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated using a well-known data set taken from the literature in which the number of tasks varies between 7 and 111, and results are also compared with both an ant-colony-optimization-based heuristic approach and a genetic-algorithm-based heuristic approach. The proposed algorithm provided optimal solutions for 123 out of 128 (96.1 %) test problems in seconds and is proven to be promising.  相似文献
