Settling behavior of operational amplifiers is of great importance in many applications. In this paper, an efficient methodology for the design of high-speed two-stage operational amplifiers based on settling time is proposed. Concerning the application of the operational amplifier, it specifies proper open-loop circuit parameters to obtain the desired settling time and closed-loop stability. As the effect of transfer function zeros has been taken into account, the proposed methodology becomes more accurate in achieving the desired specifications. Simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the methodology.  相似文献

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s National Wind Technology Center dedicates two 600 kW turbines for advanced control systems research. A fault detection system for both turbines has been developed, analyzed, and improved across years of experiments to protect the turbines as each new controller is tested. Analysis of field data and ongoing fault detection strategy improvements have resulted in a system of sensors, fault definitions, and detection strategies that have thus far been effective at protecting the turbines. In this paper, we document this fault detection system and provide field data illustrating its operation while detecting a range of failures. In some cases, we discuss the refinement process over time as fault detection strategies were improved. The purpose of this article is to share field experience obtained during the development and field testing of the existing fault detection system, and to offer a possible baseline for comparison with more advanced turbine fault detection controllers.  相似文献

Efficient RC low-power bus encoding methods for crosstalk reduction   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In on-chip buses, the RC crosstalk effect leads to serious problems, such as wire propagation delay and dynamic power dissipation. This paper presents two efficient bus-coding methods. The proposed methods simultaneously reduce more dynamic power dissipation and wire propagation delay than existing bus encoding methods. Our methods also reduce more total power consumption than other encoding methods. Simulation results show that the proposed method I reduces coupling activity by 26.7-38.2% and switching activity by 3.7%-7% on 8-bit to 32-bit data buses, respectively. The proposed method II reduces coupling activity by 27.5-39.1% and switching activity by 5.3-9% on 8-bit to 32-bit data buses, respectively. Both the proposed methods reduce dynamic power by 23.9-35.3% on 8-bit to 32-bit data buses and total propagation delay by up to 30.7-44.6% on 32-bit data buses, and eliminate the Type-4 coupling. Our methods also reduce total power consumption by 23.6-33.9%, 23.9-34.3%, and 24.1-34.6% on 8-bit to 32-bit data buses with the 0.18, 0.13, and 0.09 μm technologies, respectively.  相似文献

This paper presents a digital background calibration technique that measures and cancels offset, linear and nonlinear errors in each stage of a pipelined analog to digital converter (ADC) using a single algorithm. A simple two-step subranging ADC architecture is used as an extra ADC in order to extract the data points of the stage-under-calibration and perform correction process without imposing any changes on the main ADC architecture which is the main trend of the current work. Contrary to the conventional calibration methods that use high resolution reference ADCs, averaging and chopping concepts are used in this work to allow the resolution of the extra ADC to be lower than that of the main ADC.  相似文献

The wireless mesh network is a new emerging broadband technology providing the last-mile Internet access for mobile users by exploiting the advantage of multiple radios and multiple channels. The throughput improvement of the network relies heavily on the utilizing the orthogonal channels. However, an improper channel assignment scheme may lead to network partition or links failure. In this paper we consider the assignment strategy with topology preservation by organizing the mesh nodes with available channels, and aim at minimizing the co-channel interference in the network. The channel assignment with the topology preservation is proved to be NP-hard and to find the optimized solution in polynomial time is impossible. We have formulated a channel assignment algorithm named as DPSO-CA which is based on the discrete particle swarm optimization and can be used to find the approximate optimized solution. We have shown that our algorithm can be easily extended to the case with uneven traffic load in the network. The impact of radio utilization during the channel assignment process is discussed too. Extensive simulation results have demonstrated that our algorithm has good performance in both dense and sparse networks compared with related works.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the problem of spectrum sharing in CRAHNs and propose a distributed channel selection scheme. The key functionality of our proposal, best-fit channel selection (BFC) is that it accounts both the primary channel traffic activity and CR traffic activity in channel selection. We assume CR nodes have the capability of estimating the primary channel traffic activities. In BFC, each CR selects a channel among the primary user (PU) channels for transmission that best fits to its transmission time requirement. We compare the performance of BFC to the widely known longest idle time channel selection (LITC) scheme. In LITC, a CR selects the channel that has the longest expected idle time independent of its transmission needs. In a multi-user CRN, this may degrade the network performance compared to the non-selfish BFC approach. LITC is considered selfish since each CR aims to maximize its own benefit and thus wastes resources that may be utilized by other nodes in the network. BFC providing an efficient spectrum sharing mechanism implicitly mitigates the effect of spectrum fragmentation which is a significant issue degrading the CR spectrum utilization. In CRNs, spectrum may be fragmented in various dimensions, e.g. time and frequency, such that some parts of the spectrum can not be used although being idle. Our proposal provides a solution to the spectrum fragmentation issue in time dimension at the medium access control (MAC) layer. By a set of simulations, we highlight the performance improvement by BFC over the conventional LITC under various CR/PU traffic, number of CRs, estimation accuracy and buffering capability. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed BFC is significantly superior to that of LITC in terms of probability of successful transmission, spectrum opportunity utilization and fragmentation.  相似文献

To improve traffic safety and efficiency, it is vital to reliably send traffic-related messages to vehicles in the targeted region in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). In this paper, we propose a novel scheme, relative position based message dissemination (RPB-MD), to reliably and efficiently disseminate messages to the vehicles in the zone-of-relevance. Firstly, the relative position based (RPB) addressing model is proposed to effectively define the intended receivers in the zone-of-relevance. To ensure high message delivery ratio and low delivery delay, directional greedy broadcast routing (DGBR) is introduced to make a group of candidate nodes hold the message for high reliability. Moreover, to guarantee efficiency, the protocol time parameters are designed adaptively according to the message attributes and local vehicular traffic density. The protocol feasibility is analyzed to illustrate the robustness and reliability of RPB-MD. Simulation results show that RPB-MD, compared with representative existing schemes, achieves high delivery ratio, limited overhead, reasonable delay and high network reachability under different vehicular traffic density and data sending rate.  相似文献

With the advances in integrated circuit (IC) technology, managing the individual and total interconnect is becoming one of the main challenges facing designers. An individual a-priori length estimation model can be a useful tool in helping designers obtain lower net lengths and congestion of interconnect. In this paper, the main characteristics that need to be considered while designing an individual a-priori length estimation technique for today's integrated circuits are discussed. A model that includes some of the most prevalent characteristics is designed and tested using the most current benchmark circuits released by IBM. In addition, one application of the length estimation is proposed in which a predictor-corrector framework for clustering that can be used to improve the results of placement is implemented. This model shows that the corrector step can improve the final placement results by up to 33% for special cases.  相似文献

应用苯并环丁烯(BCB)材料对硅片和玻璃片进行了250℃下的圆片级低温键合实验,同时进行了300℃下的硅片与玻璃片阳极键合实验,并对其气密性和剪切力特性进行了对比研究. 测试结果表明:在250℃的低温键合条件下,经过500kPa He气保压2h, BCB封装后样品的气密性达到(5.5±0.5)E-4Pacc/s He;剪切力在9.0~13.4MPa之间,达到了封装工艺要求;封装成品率达到100%. 这表明应用BCB材料键合是一种有效的圆片级低温气密性封装方法. 还根据渗流模型理论,讨论了简易模型下气密性(即渗流率)和器件腔体边缘到划片边缘的间距的关系.  相似文献
