Consumption of the fossil fuels causes greenhouse gas effect and environmental pollution, which are two basic problems of our age. As a result of this problem, clean and renewable alternative energy sources are beginning to replace fossil fuels. Nowadays, the use of hydrogen energy, which is one of the clean energy, is increasing in transportation and industrial areas. Increasing of hydrogen energy usage, scientists are attempting to solve the many safety problems (such as fire, burst, impact and hydrogen embrittlement) that can occur during the storage and consumption of hydrogen energy. In this study, during the event of fire, the safety of metallic Type I pressure hydrogen storage tanks is investigated by using a novel approach. In this new approach, the mechanical strength drops of the tank materials that is related with temperature rising are added to the safety calculations. In the study, 6061 T6 aluminum and SS 316L stainless steel alloys were used as hydrogen tank material. The safety of hydrogen tanks modelled using these alloys was investigated under different temperature conditions (22, 100, 200 and 300 °C) and internal pressure (15, 20 and 25 MPa).  相似文献

In this study, we aimed at fabricating decellularized bovine myocardial extracellular matrix-based films (dMEbF) for cardiac tissue engineering (CTE). The decellularization process was carried out utilizing four consecutive stages including hypotonic treatment, detergent treatment, enzymatic digestion and decontamination, respectively. In order to fabricate the dMEbF, dBM were digested with pepsin and gelation process was conducted. dMEbF were then crosslinked with N-hydroxysuccinimide/1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-carbodiimide (NHS/EDC) to increase their durability. Nuclear contents of native BM and decellularized BM (dBM) tissues were determined with DNA content analysis and agarose-gel electrophoresis. Cell viability on dMEbF for 3rd, 7th, and 14th days was assessed by MTT assay. Cell attachment on dMEbF was also studied by scanning electron microscopy. Trans-differentiation capacity of human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hAMSCs) into cardiomyocyte-like cells on dMEbF were also evaluated by histochemical and immunohistochemical analyses. DNA contents for native and dBM were, respectively, found as 886.11?±?164.85 and 47.66?±?0.09?ng/mg dry weight, indicating a successful decellularization process. The results of glycosaminoglycan and hydroxyproline assay, and sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), performed in order to characterize the extracellular matrix (ECM) composition of native and dBM tissue, showed that the BM matrix was not damaged during the proposed method. Lastly, regarding the histological study, dMEbF not only mimics native ECM, but also induces the stem cells into cardiomyocyte-like cells phenotype which brings it the potential of use in CTE.  相似文献

Temperature fluctuations during storage and transportation are the most important factors affecting quality and shelf life of food products. Phase change materials (PCM) with their isothermal characteristics are used to control temperature in various thermal operations. In this study, octanoic acid as PCM candidate was used in a packaging material design for thermal control of a food product. The PCM candidate was microencapsulated in different shell materials in our laboratory. Among the synthesized microcapsules, microencapsulated PCM (mPCM) (ΔHm = 42.9 J/g) with styrene polymer as the shell material was selected based on its properties of being cost effective and compatibility with human health. Thermal buffering effect of PCM in bulk and microencapsulated forms was tested in a packaging design with special PCM pockets. Results showed that packages with mPCM and bulk PCM provided 8.8 and 6 hours of thermal buffering effect for 160 g of chocolate compared with the package without PCM (reference package).  相似文献

In this study, trans fatty acid and fatty acid composition of 57 crisps and 50 cakes sold in the markets in Turkey were determined. C 18:1, oleic acid, was the major fatty acid in all crisps and cake samples. The percentages of saturated fatty acids (SFAs), monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs), and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) ranged between 27.98–46.57, 35.73–47.57, and 9.86–35.90 g/100 g fatty acids in crisps and 35.41–54.03, 25.89–44.87, and 10.52–26.97 g/100 g fatty acids in cakes, respectively. Total trans fatty acids ranged from 0.02 to 1.35 g/100 g fatty acids in crisps and 0.00 to 5.05 g/100 g fatty acids in cakes, respectively.  相似文献

The biosorption of lanthanum and cerium by leaves powder of Platanus orientalis was separately determined at varying experimental conditions using a batch technique. The effects of initial pH, contact time, initial metal ion concentration and temperature were investigated. The Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were applied to represent the adsorption process. Langmuir isotherm fits the experimental data quite well. The Langmuir monolayer capacity of the sorbent is 28.65mg g− 1 and 32.05mg g− 1 for La and Ce(III), respectively. Thermodynamic parameters such as standard enthalpy (ΔH°), entropy (ΔS°) and free energy (ΔG°) were calculated from the slope and intercept of the plots of lnKd versus 1/T. The results indicated that sorption was endothermic and spontaneous in nature. The work reveals that powdered leaf of Platanus orientalis is a good choice as a biosorbent for the recovery of lanthanum and cerium from aqueous solution.  相似文献

Green state joining of SiC was investigated using a paste consisting of polycarbosilane polymer and SiC powder. The joining process and densification were described. Initial experiments resulted in the formation of symmetrical black bands and cracks on both sides of the joint. However, with modifications in processing conditions, the cracks were eliminated and the resulting joints were indistinguishable from the matrix. The flexural strength of joined samples was measured to be 234 MPa, which was comparable to that of the control sample with similar density. As the applied pressure during joining was increased from 34 to 138 MPa, the strength of the joined samples increased from 180 to 250 MPa.  相似文献

The effects of pretreatments such as citric acid and hot water blanching and air temperature on drying and rehydration characteristics of red kidney bean seeds were investigated. Drying experiments were carried out at four different drying air temperatures of 50°C, 60°C, 70°C, and 80°C. It was observed that drying and rehydration characteristics of bean seeds were greatly influenced by air temperatures and pretreatments. Four commonly used mathematical models were evaluated to predict the drying kinetics of bean seeds. The Weibull model described the drying behaviour of bean seeds at all temperatures better than the other models. The effective moisture diffusivities (Deff) of bean seeds were determined using Fick's law of diffusion. The values of Deff were between 1.25 × 10?9 and 3.58 × 10?9 m2/s. Activation energy was estimated by an Arrhenius-type equation and was determined as 24.62, 21.06, and 20.36 kJ/mol for citric acid, blanch, and control samples, respectively.  相似文献
