An immobilized sn-1,3-specific lipase from Rhizomucor miehei (IM 60) was used to catalyze the interesterification of tristearin (C18:0) and tricaprin (C10:0) to produce low-calorie structured lipids (SL). Acceptable product yields were obtained from a 1:1 mole ratio of both triacylglycerols
with 10% (w/w of reactants) of IM 60 in 3 mL hexane. The SL molecular species, based on total carbon number, were 44.2% C41 and 40.5% C49, with 3.8 and 11.5% unreacted tristearin C57 and tricaprin C27, respectively, remaining in the product mixture. The best yield of C41 species (44.3%) was obtained with zero added water. Tricaprylin (C8:0) was also successfully interesterified with tristearin in good yields at 1:1 mole ratio. Products were analyzed by reverse-phase
high-performance liquid chromatography with an evaporative light-scattering detector. Reaction parameters, such as substrate
mole ratio, enzyme load, time course, added water, reaction media, and enzyme reuse, were also investigated. Hydrolysis by
pancreatic lipase revealed the specific fatty acids present at the sn-1,3 positions of SL.

In offspring exposed in utero to a maternal diet high in fat (HF), we have previously demonstrated that despite similar birth weights, HF adult offspring at 6 months of age had significantly higher body weights, greater adiposity, and increased triacylglycerol (TAG) levels as compared to controls. We hypothesized that a maternal HF diet predisposes to offspring adiposity via a programmed increase in the synthesis of monounsaturated fatty acids in the liver and hence increased substrate availability for liver TAG synthesis. We further hypothesized that programmed changes in offspring liver fatty acid metabolism are associated with increased liver expression of the lipogenic enzyme stearoyl‐CoA desaturase‐1 (SCD‐1). Female rats were maintained on a HF diet rich in monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) prior to and throughout pregnancy and lactation. After birth, newborns were nursed by the same dam, and all offspring were weaned to control diet. Plasma and liver fatty acid compositions were determined using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. Fatty acid C16 desaturation indices of palmitoleic/palmitic and (vaccenic + palmitoleic)/palmitic and the C18 desaturation index of oleic/stearic were calculated. Liver protein abundance of SCD‐1 was analyzed in newborns and adult offspring. Plasma and liver C16 desaturation indices were decreased in HF newborns, but increased in the adult offspring. Liver SCD‐1 expression was increased in the HF adult offspring. These data show that the maternal HF diet during pregnancy and lactation increases offspring liver SCD‐1 protein abundance and alters the liver C16 desaturase pathway. 相似文献

We report on the morphology evolution during heating and melting of lamellar poly(isoprene)-block-poly(ferrocenyldimethylsilane) (PI76-b-PFDMS76) raft crystals deposited at the native oxide surface of silicon (SiO2) or at a highly ordered pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) surface, studied by in situ temperature controlled atomic force microscopy. Crystals deposited on hydrophilic SiO2 surfaces revealed an irreversible decrease in length at temperatures of up to tens of degrees above their expected melting temperature, while maintaining their platelet-like structure. Crystals deposited on hydrophobic HOPG surfaces initially decreased in length below their expected melting temperature, while at 120 °C and above a typical molten morphology was observed. In addition, the irreversible formation of a PI76-b-PFDMS76 wetting layer around the crystals was observed upon increasing the temperature. These observations in the morphological behavior upon heating emphasize the role of interfacial energy between a surface deposited block copolymer based macromolecular nanostructure and its supporting substrate. 相似文献

Cryogenically cooled solid-state lasers promise a revolution in power scalability while maintaining a good beam quality because of significant improvements in efficiency and thermo-optic properties. This is particularly true for Yb lasers because of their relatively low quantum defect and relatively broadband absorption even at cryogenic temperatures. Thermo-optic properties of host materials, including thermal conductivity, thermal expansion, and refractive index at low temperature, are reviewed and data presented for YAG (ceramic and single crystal), GGG, GdVO4, and Y2O3. Spectroscopic properties of Yb:YAG and Yb:LiYF4 (YLF) including absorption cross sections, emission cross sections, and fluorescence lifetimes at cryogenic temperatures are characterized. This paper examines what influences trust in mobile social commerce environment. Drawing on trust-based acceptance model (i.e. cognitive and emotional trust) and online review features (i.e. profile photo, linguistic style, and reported experience), we examine how these factors affect trust in mobile social commerce. Hypotheses were tested using survey data. The results of our model showed that there are significant influences of profile photo, reported experience, cognitive, and emotional trust towards trust in ms-commerce. In this paper, we examined mixing of various two-fluid flows in a silicon/glass microchannel based on the competition of dominant
forces in a flow field, namely viscous/elastic, viscous/viscous and viscous/inertial. Experiments were performed over a range
of Deborah and Reynolds numbers (0.36 < De < 278, 0.005 < Re < 24.2). Fluorescent dye and microshperes were used to characterize
the flow kinematics. Employing abrupt convergent/divergent channel geometry, we achieved efficient mixing of two-dissimilar
viscoelastic fluids at very low Reynolds number. Enhanced mixing was achieved through elastically induced flow instability
at negligible diffusion and inertial effects (i.e. enormous Peclet and Elasticity numbers). This viscoelastic mixing was achieved

Insulator-based dielectrophoresis (iDEP) has been successfully used for on-chip manipulations of biological samples. Despite
its effectiveness, iDEP typically requires high DC voltages to achieve sufficient electric field; this is mainly due to the
coupled phenomena among linear electrokinetics: electroosmosis (EO) and electrophoresis (EP) and nonlinear electrokinetics:
dielectrophoresis (DEP). This paper presents a microfluidic technique using DC-offset AC electric field for electrokinetic
concentration of particles and cells by repulsive iDEP. This technique introduces AC electric field for producing iDEP which
is decoupled from electroosmosis (EO) and electrophoresis (EP). The repulsive iDEP is generated in a PDMS tapered contraction
channel that induces non-uniform electric field. The benefits of introducing AC electric field component are threefold: (i)
it contributes to DEP force acting on particles, (ii) it suppresses EO flow and (iii) it does not cause any EP motion. As
a result, the required DC field component that is mainly used to transport particles on the basis of EO and EP can be significantly
reduced. Experimental results supported by numerical simulations showed that the total DC-offset AC electric field strength
required to concentrate 15-μm particles is significantly reduced up to 85.9% as compared to using sole DC electric field.
Parametric experimental studies showed that the higher buffer concentration, larger particle size and higher ratio of AC-to-DC
electric field are favorable for particle concentration. In addition, the proposed technique was demonstrated for concentration

Inference in Boltzmann machines is NP-hard in general. As a result approximations are often necessary. We discuss first order mean field and second order Onsager truncations of the Plefka expansion of the Gibbs free energy. The Bethe free energy is introduced and rewritten as a Gibbs free energy. From there a convergent belief optimization algorithm is derived to minimize the Bethe free energy. An analytic expression for the linear response estimate of the covariances is found which is exact on Boltzmann trees. Finally, a number of theorems is proven concerning the Plefka expansion, relating the first order mean field and the second order Onsager approximation to the Bethe approximation. This research follows the design and implementation of an agent-based modeling environment written in Java program language on AnyLogic simulation platform to facilitate observing the human spatial behaviors of electric taxis and passengers. The system is developed with a view to improve decision analysis and support for users or companies. In order to achieve the object of decision support for the user, we provide a graphic user interface (GUI) to support user making decision real time. User can simulate the real condition via GUI in our electric taxi DAR operation system to observe the simulation process and the result to help reasonable decision-making immediately. We validate our multi-agent simulation model with the electric taxi DAR operation system case study. Finally, according to the analysis result, we demonstrate that our multi-agent simulation model and GUI can help users or companies quickly make a quality and accurate decision to reduce the decision-making cost and time.
