We apply the theory of products of random matrices to the analysis of multi-user communication channels similar to the Wyner model, which are characterized by short-range intra-cell broadcasting. We study fluctuations of the per-cell sum-rate capacity in the non-ergodic regime and provide results of the type of the central limit theorem (CLT) and large deviations (LD). Our results show that CLT fluctuations of the per-cell sum-rate C m are of order \(1/\sqrt m \), where m is the number of cells, whereas they are of order 1/m in classical random matrix theory. We also show an LD regime of the form P(|C m ? C| > ?) ≤ e ? with α = α(?) > 0 and C = \(\mathop {\lim }\limits_{m \to \infty } \) C m , as opposed to the rate \(e^{ - m^2 \alpha } \) in classical random matrix theory.  相似文献

As wind energy is becoming one of the fastestgrowing renewable energy resources,controlling large-scale wind turbines remains a challenging task due to its system model nonlinearities and high external uncertainties.The main goal of the current work is to propose an intelligent control of the wind turbine system without the need for model identification.For this purpose,a novel model-independent nonsingular terminal slidingmode control(MINTSMC)using the basic principles of the ultralocal model(ULM)and combined with the single input interval type-2 fuzzy logic control(SIT2-FLC)is developed for non-linear wind turbine pitch angle control.In the suggested control framework,the MINTSMC scheme is designed to regulate the wind turbine speed rotor,and a sliding-mode(SM)observer is adopted to estimate the unknown phenomena of the ULM.The auxiliary SIT2-FLC is added in the model-independent control structure to improve the rotor speed regulation and compensate for the SM observation estimation error.Extensive examinations and comparative analyses were made using a real-time softwarein-the-loop(RT-SiL)based on the dSPACE 1202 board to appraise the efficiency and applicability of the suggested modelindependent scheme in a real-time testbed.  相似文献

MobiStore is a P2P data store for decentralized mobile computing, designed to achieve high availability and load balance. As P2P platforms, mobile devices connected to the Internet through WiFi or cellular networks are different from wired devices in two main aspects: (1) higher churn due to mobility, weak wireless signals, or battery constraints, and (2) significant variability in bandwidth and latency based on the point of attachment. These problems affect the stored content availability and skew the content serving load over the peers. MobiStore structures the mobile P2P network into clusters of redundant peers. The topology uses both algorithmically-defined and random edges among the peers of different clusters. The routing information is updated using a gossip-based protocol. Thus, MobiStore achieves, with high probability, O(1) lookup operations despite high churn and link variability. Inside the clusters, all peers replicate the content, which improves the content availability. Furthermore, based on the current load, MobiStore dynamically changes the number of peers inside the clusters and routes content request to randomly selected peers. These two dynamic techniques along with using consistent hashing to map content to peers balance the load over the peers. While some of these techniques are well known, the main contribution is on the novel ways of applying them to design and implement an efficient mobile P2P data store. Simulation results show MobiStore achieves an availability, i.e., lookup success rate, between 12–48 % higher than two baseline systems built over the MR-Chord and Chord P2P protocols; and it reduces the latency up to 9 times compared to these protocols. Finally, the results show MobiStore adapts to churn and workload to evenly distribute the requests across clusters and peers better than both baseline solutions.  相似文献

The perceived shortage of water within Israel and the Palestinian authority raises the need to explore the ways and means to ameliorate existing and expected water scarcity. This study stresses the need for demand management and market allocation that will shift water from agriculture to other uses. Since the real price of water in this region is too high, water should not serve as input for many of the crops that are currently grown by the local population. The hidden and visible subsidies that are currently supporting the prices of water would be better used to create substituting employment to shift more farmers away from agricultural occupations. Such policy will ease the shortage of water that is created by policies and behavior that were aimed indirectly, to increase the use of water.  相似文献

A new approach for the identification of linear diffusions with unknown drift coefficients follows.
