Ti3SiC2 is of interest due to its unique dual nature reminiscent of both brittle ceramics and ductile metals at ambient conditions. In this work, plate-impact experiments have been performed to study the dynamic behavior of Ti3SiC2 under shock compression up to 112 GPa by using laser velocity interferometer and electric pin techniques. Hugoniot elastic limits (HEL), spall strength, and Hugoniot equations of state have been obtained based on measured particle velocity profiles and shock wave velocities. The ratio of spall strength to HEL for Ti3SiC2 is larger than brittle ceramics but smaller than metals. This result indicates that the dual nature of Ti3SiC2 remains at least up to 10 GPa. On the other hand, the linearity of the Hugoniot equation of state, , suggests that the initial structure of Ti3SiC2 should be stable up to 112 GPa, in contrast to the result reported by Jordan et al. [J. Appl. Phys., 93 (2003) 9639]. 相似文献

An embossing strategy involving a hot station and a cold station for sequentially heating and cooling the embossing tool was investigated to reduce cycle times in hot embossing polymer microstructures. Experimental studies showed that aluminum stamps with a thickness of 1.4 mm can be rapidly heated from room temperature to 200°C in 3 s using contact heating against a hot station at 250°C. Microchannels and microlenses were successfully embossed onto high‐density polyethylene and acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene substrates using a heating time less than 3 s and a total cycle time around 10 s. The two‐station embossing process for the microlens was also numerically studied. The simulated filling behavior agreed with the experimental observation and the predicted thermal and deformation history of the polymer offered a good explanation on the experimentally observed process characteristics. The structure of benzoxazines is similar to that of phenolic resin through thermal self‐curing of the heterocyclic ring opening reaction that neither requires catalyst nor releases any condensation byproduct. These polybenzoxazine resins have several outstanding properties such as high thermal stability and high glass transition temperature. To better understand the curing kinetics of this copolybenzoxazine thermosetting resin, dynamic and isothermal differential scanning calorimetry measurements were performed. Three models, the Kissinger method, the Flynn–Wall–Osawa method, and the Kamal method, were used to describe the curing process. Dynamic kinetic activation energies based on Kissinger and Flynn–Wall–Osawa methods are 72.11 and 84.06 KJ/mol, respectively. The Kamal method based on an autocatalytic model results in a total order of reaction between 2.66 and 3.03, depending on curing temperature. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of mineralized bone nodules, formed in vitro by bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs), on the new bone formation in bone defect and on implant surface. The mineralized bone nodules were generated by culture of Lewis rats BMSCs on titanium disks in osteogenic induction medium. The gap-healing animal model was used to create the bone defect facing the disk. The titanium disks in the presence of B group or in the absence of NB group bone nodules were randomly placed into one of the rat distal femurs. This self-control design was used to compare the bone formation in defects and on titanium surface, by Micro-CT, fluorescence staining, histological and histomorphometric analysis. The new bone formation parameters in bone defect area of B group were significantly higher than those of NB group at 2 weeks, including bone volume fraction, trabecular thickness and bone area ratio. The bone nodules pre-stained with Alizarin red disappeared mostly at 2 weeks, while the red fluorescence reappeared in the newly formed bone away from the disk surface. For the bone-implant contact, B group showed lower values than NB group at 2 weeks, but no significant difference was found at 4 weeks. Our results indicate that the mineralized bone nodules can be resorbed in vivo and promote the early osteogenesis in the bone defects, and bone nodules may be applicable for new bone generation in bone defect or modification of tissue engineering scaffold. 相似文献
