By using the more electro-negative Mn3+ ion to partially replace Co3+ at the octahedral site of spinel ZnCo2O4, i.e., forming ternary Zn–Mn–Co spinel oxide, the electrocatalytic oxygen reduction/evolution activity is found to be significantly increased. Considering the physical characterization and theoretical calculations, it demonstrated that the bond competition played a key role in regulating the cobalt valence state and the electrocatalytic activity. The partial replacement of octahedral-site-occupied Co3+ by Mn3+ can effectively modulate the adjacent Co–O bond and induce the Jahn–Teller effect, thus changing the originally stable crystal structure and optimizing the binding strength between the active center and reaction intermediates. Certainly, the Mn-substituted ZnMn1.4Co0.6O4/NCNTs exhibit higher electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity than that of ZnCo2O4/NCNTs and ZnMn2O4/NCNTs, supporting that the Co–O bond covalency determines the ORR activity of spinel ZnCo2O4. This study offers the competition between adjacent Co–O and Mn–O bonds via the BOh–O–BOh edge-sharing geometry. The ion substitution at octahedral sites by less electronegative cations can be a new and effective way to improve the electrocatalytic performance of cobalt-based spinel oxides. 相似文献

The photovoltaic stability of polymer solar cells (PSCs) can be greatly improved by adopting an inverted device structure. This paper reports high-performance inverted PSCs with lead monoxide (PbO)-modified indium tin oxide (ITO) as the cathodes. A thin PbO layer can effectively lower the work function of ITO from 4.5 to 3.8 eV. The optimal inverted PSCs with poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) as the donor and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) as the acceptor exhibited high photovoltaic performance: open-circuit voltage of 0.59 V, short-circuit current density of 10.8 mA cm−2, fill factor of 0.632, and power conversion efficiency of 4.00% under simulated AM1.5G illumination (100 mW cm−2). The photovoltaic efficiency is significantly higher than that of the control inverted PSCs with unmodified ITO as the cathode. It is even better than that of the control PSCs with normal architecture, which have an optimal efficiency of 3.5%. The lowering in the work function by the PbO modification is attributed to the charge transfer between PbO and ITO, as evidenced by the X-ray photoelectron spectra. 相似文献

This paper investigates the sum rate capacity of MIMO broadcast channels (MIMO-BCs) in cognitive radio networks. A suboptimal user-selection algorithm is proposed to achieve a large sum rate capacity with reduced complexity. This algorithm consists of two steps. First, zero-forcing beamforming is utilized as a downlink precoding technique that precancels inter-user interference. Second, singular value decomposition is applied to the channel matrices of all the secondary users and only consider the singular vectors corresponding to the maximum singular values. The proposed user-selection algorithm chooses singular vectors which are nearly orthogonal to each other and nearly orthogonal to the vector of primary users. With this algorithm, the sum rate capacity of MIMO-BCs in CR networks with interference power constraints and transmit power constraints is derived. We formulate the sum rate capacity as a multi-constraint optimization problem and develop an algorithm to solve the problem in its equivalent form. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to corroborate our theoretical results in flat Rayleigh fading environments. A hybrid machine is such a machine where its drive system integrates two types of motors: the servomotor and the constant velocity (CV) motor. The existing research on the hybrid machine prototypes usually uses two servomotors, of which one “mimic” the CV motor by prescribing a constant velocity trajectory profile. It is obvious that this departs away from the real situation where a CV motor is in place. The CV motor will bring in the velocity fluctuation which can not be attenuated by the CV motor itself due to the lack of a control mechanism in the CV motor, yet be propagated to the servomotor, and further to the end-effector of the machine. The general strategy for controlling the hybrid machine is therefore to model this propagated fluctuation and incorporate it into a controller for the servomotor. A controller based on the sliding mode control technique is proposed for the hybrid machine in this paper. The stability analysis shows that the controller is asymptotically stable. Simulation with a preliminary test demonstrates the effectiveness and robustness of this controller. Finally, we examine further performance improvement through attaching a flywheel on the CV motor to demonstrate the effectiveness of the synergy of the integration of mechanical and electrical means. 相似文献

This paper presents a kind of Cherenkov radiation source based on metallic photonic crystal (MPC) slow-wave structure (SWS) cavity. The Cherenkov source designed by linear theory works at 34.7 GHz when the cathode voltage is 550 kV. The three-dimensional particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation of the SWS shows the operating frequency of 35.56 GHz with a single TM01 mode is basically consistent with the theoretically one under the same parameters. An experiment was implemented to testify the results of theory and PIC simulation. The experimental system includes a cathode emitting unit, the SWS, a magnetic system, an output antenna, and detectors. Experimental results show that the operating frequency through detecting the retarded time of wave propagation in waveguides is around 35.5 GHz with a single TM01 mode and an output power reaching 54 MW. It indicates that the MPC structure can reduce mode competition. The purpose of the paper is to show in theory and in preliminary experiment that a SWS with PBG can produce microwaves in TM01 mode. But it still provides a good experimental and theoretical foundation for designing high-power microwave devices. 相似文献
