Bioenergy is the largest renewable energy source in Mexico with an estimated 4–9% of total current energy demand. There are large uncertainties and contrasting estimates regarding its current extent and end-uses, particularly with traditional uses. However, a large potential exists to improve the efficiency of existing uses and, at the same time, to diversify the use of SBF in the industrial and power sectors. This paper aims at: providing the first updated and comprehensive estimate of current SBF demand in Mexico including traditional and modern uses; providing a consistent estimate of actual SBF supply potential; estimating the total potential substitution of fossil fuels that could be achieved by SBF considering an integrated “modernization scenario”; and finally describing the main barriers limiting SBF to fully triggering its potential. Results show that current SBF consumption reached 481 PJ/yr in 2015; SBF supply potential reaches 3622 PJ/yr, out of which 883 PJ/yr could be used to substitute up to 29% of current demand of FF, mitigating 66 MtCO<sub>2e</sub>/yr of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, or near 88 MtCO<sub>2e</sub>/yr if mitigation from traditional uses is added.  相似文献

This study investigates longitudinal acceleration events during freight transportation characterized as low-acceleration and long-duration using delivery van type vehicles. In the past several decades, there has been an increase in shipments requiring only single or small pallet load quantities and mixed palletized unit loads comprised of different goods. These loads are often transported in delivery vans without load securing devices, increasing the risk of product loss and damage due to load failures resulting from unit loads shifting. A field data acquisition system was used to observe and record the random acceleration events from five vehicles for 5 days, explicitly targeting the vehicles' braking and acceleration manoeuvres. The study aimed to understand the physical phenomenon and provide new information that can be used during preshipment tests to prevent damage to goods and ensure unit load integrity is maintained throughout the supply chain. The events were statistically analysed to understand their probability of occurrence, severity level, and quantify critical parameters such as event rise and hold times. For the braking manoeuvre, the statistical mean of average deceleration was 0.25 g with a corresponding rise and hold duration of 0.83 and 1.27 s, respectively. During the vehicle's acceleration manoeuvre, the statistical mean of average acceleration was 0.29 g with a rise and hold time of 1.29 and 1.39 s, respectively. Utilizing the field data, composite profiles were developed, and these profiles were compared to the currently available test procedures and previous results of other studies.  相似文献

Recently, much attention has been given to performance management within collaborative environments resulting in a wide variety of performance measurement/management frameworks. However, practically all of these frameworks present a common gap regarding the information treatment needs that support these frameworks. This issue is even more important in the case of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) due to their special characteristics. For that purpose, this paper presents an approach called Global Performance Management (GPM) Framework composed of a methodology, an information architecture and a technological solution, focusing mainly on the information architecture. The methodology guides SMEs when defining, developing, deploying and operating the GPM framework. The information architecture consists of a set of elements that support the tasks of collection, treatment and analysis of the used information, which complement the methodology to build a real model for the GPM framework. Finally, the technological solution bridges the engineering and conceptual environment, with the real-world operational and executable environment, following the path defined by the methodology. The information architecture was applied to two European pilots, achieving satisfactory results, which are highlighted in the paper as well as the main barriers encountered and solutions provided.  相似文献

The construction of a new generation of MEMS which includes micro-assembly steps in the current microfabrication process is a big challenge. It is necessary to develop new production means named <em>micromanufacturing systems</em> in order to perform these new assembly steps. The classical approach called “top-down” which consists in a functional analysis and a definition of the tasks sequences is insufficient for micromanufacturing systems. Indeed, the technical and physical constraints of the microworld (e.g. the adhesion phenomenon) must be taken into account in order to design <em>reliable</em> micromanufacturing systems. A new method of designing micromanufacturing systems is presented in this paper. Our approach combines the general “top-down” approach with a “bottom-up” approach which takes into account technical constraints. The method enables to build a modular architecture for micromanufacturing systems. In order to obtain this modular architecture, we have devised an original identification technique of modules and an association technique of modules. This work has been used to design the controller of an experimental robotic micro-assembly station.  相似文献

Termination is one of the most interesting problems when dealing with context-sensitive rewrite systems. Although a good number of techniques for proving termination of context-sensitive rewriting (<em>CSR</em>) have been proposed so far, the adaptation to <em>CSR</em> of the <em>dependency pair approach</em>, one of the most powerful techniques for proving termination of rewriting, took some time and was possible only after introducing some new notions like <em>collapsing dependency pairs</em>, which are specific for <em>CSR</em>. In this paper, we develop the notion of <em>context-sensitive dependency pair</em> (CSDP) and show how to use CSDPs in proofs of termination of <em>CSR</em>. The implementation and practical use of the developed techniques yield a novel and powerful framework which improves the current state-of-the-art of methods for automatically proving termination of <em>CSR</em>.  相似文献

Recent progress in energy harvesting technologies made it possible to build sensor networks with rechargeable nodes which target an indefinitely long operation. In these networks, the goal of energy management is to allocate the available energy such that the important performance metrics, such as the number of detected threats, are maximized. As the harvested energy is not sufficient for continuous operation, the scheduling of the active and inactive time is one of the main components of energy management. The active time scheduling protocols need to maintain the energy equilibrium of the nodes, while considering the uncertainties of the energy income, which is strongly influenced by the weather, and the energy expenditures, which are dependent on the behavior of the targets. In this paper, we describe and experimentally compare three active time scheduling protocols: (a) static active time, (b) dynamic active time based on a multi-parameter heuristic and (c) utility-based uniform sensing. We show that protocols which take into consideration the probabilistic models of the energy income and expenditure and can dynamically adapt to changes in the environment, can provide a significant performance advantage.  相似文献

The universal cover <i>T</i> <sub> <i>G</i> </sub> of a connected graph <i>G</i> is the unique (possibly infinite) tree covering <i>G</i>, i.e., that allows a locally bijective homomorphism from <i>T</i> <sub> <i>G</i> </sub> to <i>G</i>. It is well-known that if a graph <i>G</i> covers a graph <i>H</i>, then their universal covers are isomorphic, and that the latter can be tested in polynomial time by checking if <i>G</i> and <i>H</i> share the same degree refinement matrix. We extend this result to locally injective and locally surjective homomorphisms by following a very different approach. Using linear programming techniques we design two polynomial time algorithms that check if there exists a locally injective or a locally surjective homomorphism, respectively, from a universal cover <i>T</i> <sub> <i>G</i> </sub> to a universal cover <i>T</i> <sub> <i>H</i> </sub> (both given by their degree matrices). This way we obtain two heuristics for testing the corresponding locally constrained graph homomorphisms. Our algorithm can also be used for testing (subgraph) isomorphism between universal covers, and for checking if there exists a locally injective or locally surjective homomorphism (role assignment) from a given tree to an arbitrary graph <i>H</i>.  相似文献

The accelerating interaction between technology and tourism has changed radically the efficiency and effectiveness of tourism organizations, as well as how consumers interact with organizations. In this study, a Web based intelligent framework for travel agencies is proposed that offers customers a fast and reliable response service in a less costly manner. The proposed framework integrates case-based reasoning (CBR) system with a well-known multi criteria decision making (MCDM) technique, namely Analytic Hierarchy Process, to enhance the accuracy and speed in case matching in tourism destination planning. The integration of two techniques enables taking advantages of their strengths and complements each other’s weaknesses. A case study is performed to demonstrate how this framework can facilitate intelligent decision support by retrieving best-fitted responses for customers.  相似文献

Sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) provides economic, social end environmental requirements in material and service flows occurring between suppliers, manufacturers and customers. SSCM structure is considered as a prerequisite for a sustainable success. Thus designing an effective SCM structure provides competitive advantages for the companies. In order to achieve an effective design of this structure, it is possible to apply quality function deployment (QFD) approach which is successfully applied as an effective product and system development tool. This study presents a decision framework where analytic network process (ANP) integrated QFD and zero-one goal programming (ZOGP) models are used in order to determine the design requirements which are more effective in achieving a sustainable supply chain (SSC). The first phase of the QFD is the house of quality (HOQ) which transforms customer requirements into product design requirements. In this study, after determining the sustainability requirements named customer requirements (CRs) and design requirements (DRs) of a SSC, ANP is employed to determine the importance levels in the HOQ considering the interrelationships among the DRs and CRs. Furthermore ZOGP approach is used to take into account different objectives of the problem. The proposed method is applied through a case study and obtained results are discussed.  相似文献
