Investigation of texture effect on visual colour difference evaluation

The texture effect on visual colour difference evaluation was investigated in this study. Five colour centers were selected and textured colour pairs were generated using scanned textile woven fabrics and colour‐mapping technique. The textured and solid colour pairs were then displayed on a characterized cathode ray tube (CRT) monitor for colour difference evaluation. The colour difference values for the pairs with texture patterns are equal to 5.0 CIELAB units in lightness direction. The texture level was represented by the half‐width of histogram, which is called texture strength in this study. High correlation was found between texture strength and visual colour difference for textured colour pairs, which indicates that an increasing of 10 units of texture strength in luminance would cause a decreasing of 0.25 units visual difference for the five colour centers. The ratio of visual difference between textured and solid colour pairs also indicates a high parametric effect of texture. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Wideband miniature G-shaped antenna for dual-band WLAN applications

A wideband miniature G-shaped coplanar waveguide fed dual-band antenna for a wireless local area network (WLAN) is proposed. The proposed antenna has good radiation pattern and can provide two separate measured impedance bandwidths of 0.55 GHz (about 22.9% centred at 2.42 GHz) and 2.85 GHz (about 50.9% centred at 5.60 GHz), so that it easily covers the required bandwidths for WLAN operation. This design results in a small antenna size of 22 times 18.5 mm with the ground plane regarded as part of the antenna structure.     

省煤器管开裂原因分析

对省煤器开裂管进行了化学成分及宏、微观分析。分析结果表明，在高温高压条件下，在其焊缝溶合区出现粗大的魏氏组织，管材中的珠光体组织产生了不同程度的球化，而母材组织又存在严重的带状组织。在过热条件下熔合区极易出现裂纹，并由此快速扩展，造成省煤器管开裂。     

浅谈水利工程质量的宏观控制

本文从政府、建设单位、施工单位三方面对如何搞好水利工程质量进行分析,并提出如何提高工程质量问题。     

The effect of the textile industry dye bath additive EDTMPA on colour removal characteristics by ozone oxidation.

In this study, the effects of the phosphonic acid based sequestering agent EDTMPA used in the textile dye baths on colour and organic matter removal by ozone oxidation was experimentally investigated. Procion Navy HEXL dyestuff that has been commonly used for the reactive dyeing of cellulose fibers was selected as the model component. The organic matter oxidation by ozone was determined to obey the pseudo-first order kinetics as they are treated singly or in combination. COD removal rates obtained from pseudo-first order reaction kinetics showed that oxidation of Navy HEXL alone (0.0947 L/min) was faster than that of EDTMPA (0.0171 L/min) and EDTMPA with dye (0.0155 L/min) at pH 3.0. It was also found that reaction rates of single EDTMPA removal and EDTMPA and dye mixture removal increased as the reaction pH was increased from 3.0 to 10.5.

液氮制冷低气压试验箱的仿真设计

在采用液氮制冷的低气压试验箱的设计中,用常规工程设计方法计算的降温过程冷负荷过大,从而导致真空系统设计容量过大。本文采用分布参数模型对试验箱低气压条件下降温过程的冷负荷进行了精确仿真模拟,以此作为真空系统容量设计的基础,减小了设计规模,取得了良好的效果。
