The oxidation of glucose during the reductive leaching of pure MnO2 and manganese ore in sulphuric acid at 90 °C MnO2 was investigated. The aim was to identify the derivatives and the chemical pathway of glucose oxidation. Organic derivatives were monitored by HPLC using an Aminex HPX-78H column and UV detection. Chromatographic patterns of leaching solutions showed that major compound formed was formic acid. Minor quantities of glycolic, glyceric and traces of gluconic acids were identified. Results suggest that during the leaching reaction, the carbon chain of glucose is shortened by detachment of one carbon atom as formic acid. 相似文献

The mechanism and kinetics of the carbothermic reduction of a natural chromite was studied at 1300–1500 °C in the presence of silica. Thermogravimetry, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX) and metallography were the experimental techniques used. Silica affected the reduction at and above 1400 °C. A two stage reduction mechanism was established. The first stage, up to about 40% reduction, is primarily limited to iron metallization and zoning is observed in partially reduced chromites. In this stage silica does not interfere with the reduction. The second stage is mainly confined to chromium metallization and formation of a silicate slag alters the reduction mechanism. Ion-exchange reactions between the reducible cations (Cr3+ and Fe2+) in the spinel and the dissolved cations (A13+ and Mg2+) in the slag allow further reduction. Due to the very high driving force for the diffusion, the overall process is shifted toward a more chemical reaction controlled mechanism. A generalized rate equation was then applied to the individual metallization curves of iron and chromium from which respective rate constants and diffusion coefficients were derived. The rate constants were in the range 6.74 × 10−4–9.01 × 10−4 s−1 for iron and 7.20 × 10−4–8.50 × 10−4 s−1 for chromium reduction at 1500 °C in the presence of silica. At 1500 °C, the corresponding diffusion coefficients were in the range 3.14 × 10−8–4.78 × 10−8 m2/s for Fe2+ diffusion in the spinel and in the range 1.70 × 10−8–2.03 × 10−8 m2/s for the respective diffusion of Cr3+. This study presents a computational model to simulate the behavior of confined concrete in column plastic hinge zones. The model describes the distribution of confining stresses within a circular column cross-section and the hysteretic behavior of concrete under passive confinement. Of particular interest is the ability of the model to predict the maximum circumferential strains and thus estimate the limit state of the confining medium rather than relying on empirical limits such as concrete compressive strain or drift ratio. This is performed with fiber-discretized beam column analysis without the computational expenses of a continuum finite element (FE) model. The confined section and material model are implemented in an object-oriented computational platform for structural analysis. New classes are developed and presented for a confined fiber section, a confined concrete material, and associated hysteretic behavior rules. Finally, the results from two experimental programs on columns strengthened using fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) lamina are reproduced using the developed computational model. Comparison of simulation and experiment shows that the computational model can closely match the observed response characteristics and can adequately predict the deformation level leading to FRP rupture. 相似文献

We report on the fouling of Focused Ion Beam (FIB)-fabricated silicon oxide nanopores after exposure to tap water for two weeks. Pore clogging was monitored by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) on both bare silicon oxide and chemically functionalized nanopores. While fouling occurred on hydrophilic silicon oxide pore walls, the hydrophobic nature of alkane chains prevented clogging on the chemically functionalized pore walls. In this paper we develop a model for random walk-based search mechanisms in unstructured P2P networks. This model is used to obtain analytical expressions for the performance metrics of random walk search in terms of the popularity of the resource being searched for and the random walk parameters. We propose an equation-based adaptive search mechanism that uses an estimate of the popularity of a resource in order to choose the parameters of random walk such that a targeted performance level is achieved by the search. We also propose a low-overhead method for maintaining an estimate of popularity that utilizes feedback (or lack there-off) obtained from previous searches. Simulation results show that the performance of the equation-based adaptive search is significantly better than the non-adaptive random walk and other straight-forward adaptive mechanisms. 相似文献

The coherent precipitate γ1-Ti4Nb3Al9 in the Nb-modified TiAl-based intermetallic compound with a nominal composition of Ti–48 at% Al–10 at% Nb was investigated by transmission electron microscopy. The crystallographic and morphologic characteristics of the precipitating phase have been calculated based on invariant line theory. It is revealed that in the γ-TiAl(Nb)/γ1-Ti4Nb3Al9 couples, both the morphological and crystallographical characteristics of the precipitate γ1-Ti4Nb3Al9 could be predicted by the three-dimensional phase transformation invariant line model. The needle direction of [001] at the early stage for coherent precipitate γ1-Ti4Nb3Al9 and [111] for equilibrium phase γ1-Ti4Nb3Al9 have both been explained well. The characterization of morphology and crystallography of the precipitate reaction in γ-TiAl/γ1-Ti4Nb3Al9 system sustain the postulate that precipitates are bounded by unrotated planes (eigenplanes) when three real eigenvalues exist. 相似文献

特征选择有助于增强集成分类器成员间的随机差异性,从而提高泛化精度。研究了随机子空间法(RandomSub-space)和旋转森林法(RotationForest)两种基于特征选择的集成分类器构造算法,分析讨论了两算法特征选择的方式与随机差异程度之间的关系。通过对UCI数据集引入噪声,比较两者在噪声环境下的分类精度。实验结果表明:当噪声增加及特征关联度下降时,基本学习算法及噪声程度对集成效果均有影响,当噪声增强到一定程度后。集成效果和单分类器的性能趋于一致。 相似文献
