Due to the continuous reduction of the transistor size in electronic devices, it is becoming more and more likely for an SEU (Single Event Upset) to provoke a flip on two or more memory cells in SRAM based FPGAs, which is called a MCU (Multiple Cell Upset). Fault injection in the configuration memory of these devices has been used for many years, in order to evaluate their reliability. Emulation of these injections using the bitstream file has always been a simple, fast and cheap solution. Most of the existent SEU emulation tools do not consider the injection of MCUs, and they do not discuss the implication MCUs have on the overall failure rate of the system.In this work, bitstream based SEU emulators are updated to consider MCUs. It is discussed the necessity of injecting faults on physically adjacent cells, in order to emulate appropriately the effect of MCUs. Adjacent MCU injection has been compared theoretically with an approach considering MCUs as bunches of independent SBUs, as it is done in other emulation platforms. A Zynq-based fault injection platform has been used, in order to apply this way of emulating MCUs and validate the proposal.  相似文献

While Google Street View (GSV) has been increasingly available for large-scale examinations of urban landscapes, little is known about how to use this promising data source more cautiously and effectively. Using data for Santa Ana, California, as an example, this study provides an empirical assessment of the sensitivity of GSV-based streetscape measures and their variation patterns. The results show that the measurement outcomes can vary substantially with changes in GSV acquisition parameter settings, specifically spacing and direction. The sensitivity is found to be particularly high for some measurement targets, including humans, objects, and sidewalks. Some of these elements, such as buildings and sidewalks, also show highly correlated patterns of variation indicating their covariance in the mosaic of urban space.  相似文献

Ultra-wideband (UWB) is a radio technology that enables low-power-level, short-range, and wide-bandwidth communication, and it has been widely applied in personal area networks, precision geolocation, medical, surveillance, and vehicular radar systems. Since Federal Communications Commission released the unlicensed use of the UWB range (3.1–10.6 GHz), a significant attention has been paid to the development of UWB devices, particularly UWB bandpass filters. In this paper, we propose a novel UWB bandpass filter based on circular patch resonator that is grounded by via and perturbed by slits and defected ground structures. The resonator’s behaviour is analysed in detail and it is shown that its specific configuration allows a flexible control of the three lowest resonant modes, which are used to form UWB passband. To demonstrate the potential of the resonator, a UWB filter has been designed, fabricated, and measured. The filter is characterized by the insertion loss lower than 1 dB and return loss higher than 17 dB within the passband, as well as by very small group delay variation of only 0.07 ns. Also, the filter exhibits suppression higher than 19 dB up to 30 GHz, and very small overall dimensions of only 0.31λg × 0.31λg, and thus it outperforms other published UWB filters.  相似文献

This paper reports the results of our recent studies on evanescent-field photonic microcells (PMCs) made by post-processing commercial micro-structured optical fibers and by encapsulating tapered micro/nano fibers within glass capillaries. The PMCs have a wavelength/sub-wavelength scale wave-guiding core housed within a miniature hollow compartment. The housing isolates the waveguide core from external contamination and provides a robust platform for efficient evanescent field interaction with the materials filling the compartment. The techniques for fabrication are described and the applications of the PMCs for sensing temperature, gas pressure, refractive index and mechanical acceleration are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel image encryption scheme based on two rounds of substitution–diffusion is proposed. Two main objectives have guided the design of this scheme: (a) robustness against the most known type of attacks (statistical, chosen/known plaintext, ciphertext-only and brute force attacks) and (b) efficiency in terms of computational complexity (i.e., execution time reduction) in order to meet recent mobiles’ applications’ requirements. First, a dynamic key, changed for every input image is generated and used as the basis to construct the substitution and diffusion processes. Then, the encryption process is performed by the transmitter based on a non-linear S-box (substitution) and a matrix multiplication (diffusion), applied on each sub-matrix of the image. At the destination side, decryption is applied in the reverse order. We have conducted several series of experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. The obtained results validated the robustness of our scheme against all considered types of attacks and showed an improvement in terms of execution time reduction compared to the recent existed image-encryption schemes.  相似文献

Deformation of surfaces under external loadings greatly is function of physical laws. But according to the impossibility of identifying all effective factors and modeling their interactions parametrically, analytical methods do not provide good performance generally. So, it is necessary to apply practical methods by carrying out field tests and measuring deformations directly. To achieve this purpose it is required to integrate capabilities of an accurate measurement technique and a flexible modeling method. The capabilities such as: high accuracy and speed in measuring 3D coordinates of desired points, ability to perform measurement in a continuous space and no need to contact with the surface of objects at the time of measurement make close range photogrammetry a reliable tool for measuring geometric parameters of an object before and after deformation. The ability to measure geometric parameters of an object before and after deformation in one hand and following the deformation from physical laws on the other hand make neuro-fuzzy system the first choice for modeling the deformation of objects using outputs of close range photogrammetry.In this paper, a new method has been presented for measuring and modeling deformation of industrial product surfaces under external forces using close range photogrammetry (as an image-based measurement tool) and neuro-fuzzy network (as a behavior modeling tool).  相似文献

Traditional cooling systems have been posing a significant challenge to the global energy crisis and climate change due to the high energy consumption of the cooling process. In recent years, the emerging daytime radiative cooling provides a promising solution to address the bottleneck of traditional cooling technology by passively dissipating heat radiation to outer space without any energy consumption through the atmospheric transparency window(8~13μm). Whereas its stringent optical criteria require sophisticated and high cost fabrication producers, which hinders the applicability of radiative cooling technology. Many efforts have been devoted to develop high-efficiency and low-cost daytime radiative cooling technologies for practical application, including the nanophotonics based artificial strategy and bioinspired strategy. In order to systematically summarize the development and latest advance of daytime radiative cooling to help developing the most promising approach, here in this paper we will review and compare the two typical strategies on exploring the prospect approach for applicable radiative cooling technology. We will firstly sketch the fundamental of radiative cooling and summarize the common methods for construction radiative cooling devices. Then we will put an emphasis on the summarization and comparison of the two strategies for designing the radiative cooling device, and outlook the prospect and extending application of the daytime radiative cooling technology.  相似文献
