In order to support an effective planning of solar panel constructions or passive energy measures, information of potential solar income has to consider multiple levels of scale and detail. It has to consider the regional and the detailed household scale. Recent developments in the field of digital city models and 3D GIS allow combining the advantages of both domains. We present a multi-scale 3D GIS approach for the assessment and dissemination of solar income of a digital city model. For the consideration of long and close range shadows, we combine polygonal geometries, 3D-voxel grids and 2.5D Digital Elevation Models of different resolutions in a multi-scale modelling scene. In order to allow a realistic assessment of the heterogeneous 3D shadowing patterns in urban environments, we present a texture mapping approach for homogeneous surface sampling and efficient data storage. The approach integrates the regional topographic context with detailed 3D assessments on a household scale. In order to show the capabilities of the presented approach, a performance test using different scene compilations was conducted. Comparing the performance of different geometrical representations of a city model tile in terms of computational effort and accuracy of the results, the relevance of high spatial resolutions and the consideration of full 3-dimensionality of the presented modelling approach is proven. A numerical solution was presented for film condensation on a vertical plate sintered with metallic foam. In the metallic foam region, the Brinkman-Darcy model was employed to establish the fluid flow equation, and the thermal equilibrium model was used to describe local heat transfer. Through introduction of dimensionless distance, namely, the ratio of the coordinate normal to the plate and the local film thickness, the computational domain was regularized in a rectangular zone. The effects of convection and explicit heat of super-cooled liquid on the condensation film were considered. The temperature and velocity profile, film thickness, and the local and average Nu number were obtained. The effects of Ja and Da number on the velocity profile and heat transfer performance were investigated. The numerical model was verified through comparison of the predicted results with those in the literature, which neglected convection and explicit heat of super-cooling effects. Convection and explicit heat of super-cooling can play a positive role in reducing the velocity level in the film. The two effects played a positive role in heat transfer improvement when the dimensionless location along the gravity direction (X) was > 0.15, which was associated with reduced film thickness. The two effects also had a mild influence on the linear distribution of dimensionless temperature. The heat transfer performance deteriorated with an increase in Ja number or Da number. 相似文献

Increasing consumption of ultra-processed products from early age has raised growing concerns. In this context, the aims of the present work were: i) to explore the automatic mental associations raised by packages of ultra-processed products among parents of children under 12 months of age, ii) to estimate the valence of the affective reactions elicited by ultra-processed products, and iii) to explore the influence of socio-demographic variables and feeding styles on the valence of parents' associations with ultra-processed products. A total of 419 parents of children under 12 months of age were recruited at 20 health facilities that offer well-child services, selected using probability proportional to size sampling based on the number of births at each institution. Participants were presented with the labels of six ultra-processed products (corn snack, frankfurters, milk dessert, orange juice, wafer cookies, yogurt) and were asked to indicate the first words that came to their mind. The products raised mixed mental associations, which were mainly related to pleasure and health. Responses from the majority of participants (61–82%) evidenced negative associations with corn snacks, frankfurters and wafer cookies, whereas responses from 35 to 45% of the participants suggested a positive affective reaction towards orange juice, milk dessert and yogurt. Likelihood of having a positive affective reaction towards the evaluated ultra-processed products was higher for parents of 1 to 4 months infants, as well as those from low educational level and low socio-economic status. In addition, beliefs about three feeding practices (restriction on diet quality, indulgence in screen use and pressure for finishing) significantly influenced the valence of the associations. Results from the present work suggest the need to implement regulatory measures to reduce positive associations with ultra-processed products among parents and contribute to reduce their consumption among infants. 相似文献
