Efforts have been made for the development of high performance protective coating materials from non drying oil such as Pongamia glabra oil and their commercialization. Zn-containing self cured Pongamia glabra oil based polyesteramide [Zn-APGPEA] resin was synthesized in situ by the reaction of Pongamia glabra fatty amide diol [HEPGA], poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride) [SMA] and zinc acetate (different ratios) at 100 ± 5 °C in the presence of an acid catalyst. The physico-chemical characterizations of the resin were carried out by standard laboratory methods. The structural elucidation of the prepared resin was carried out by FTIR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral techniques. The thermal behavior was studied by TGA technique. Antibacterial activity was measured by agar diffusion method against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The effect of the loading of zinc on properties of Zn-APGPEA film was also investigated. The properties of Zn-APGPEA compared with reported self cured Pongamia glabra polyesteramide [APGPEA]. Physico-mechanical and chemical/corrosion resistance test of Zn-APGPEA coatings showed that the presence of zinc metal in APGPEA considerably enhances the overall film performance and also improves antibacterial activity. Therefore, Zn-APGPEA can be used as an anti-corrosive and antibacterial coatings material which may substitute polymers obtained from petroleum.  相似文献

Vanadium dioxide (VO2) has been studied extensively for its unique insulator-metal transition characteristics and potential applications in thermochromic smart windows, switching devices, and infrared detectors. However, how to balance the metal-insulator transition temperature, luminous transmittance (Tlum) and solar modulation ability (ΔTsol) of VO2 thin films remains a challenge. In this work, high-quality thermochromic VO2 thin films were prepared by a two-step method of magnetron sputtering and thermal oxidation annealing. Metallic and alloyed V–Mo layers were first deposited by direct-current reactive magnetron sputtering, and then a thermal oxidation annealing process was used to obtain pure and Mo-doped VO2 thin films. The Mo content in the films was regulated by changing the sputtering power of the vanadium target, and the effect of Mo doping on the crystallinity, microstructure, phase transition temperature and optical properties of VO2 thin films was studied. The shift of the VO2(011) peak to a lower 2θ angle in the XRD patterns showed that Mo was successfully diffused into vanadium dioxide films. The phase transition temperatures were decreased continuously from 57.4 to 32.7 °C by decreasing the sputtering power of vanadium. The thinner Mo-doped VO2 thin films showed higher luminous transmittance and lower transition temperature. Our results were shown to be an innovative preparation method to fabricate thermochromic VO2 films with a low phase transition temperature, balanced luminous transmittance and solar modulation ability by thermal oxidation of V–Mo cosputtered alloy films.  相似文献

This paper evaluates the impact of climate change, as projected by two Global Climate Models (GCMs) on the occurrence of extreme precipitation events in the Upper Thames River Basin in the Canadian province of Ontario. The modelling approach presented herein involves a two-stage process of generating daily weather data followed by disaggregation to an hourly time step of select variables for some events. Monthly change fields for three weather variables (maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and precipitation) were obtained from the output of two GCMs. The historical data set is modified by applying change fields to the weather variables simultaneously and then using this as the driving data set for an improved K-nearest neighbour weather-generating model. Weather sequences representative of climatic conditions in 2050 were simulated. Disaggregation of precipitation data is carried out using a new method that is a hybrid key site approach. A distinct practical advantage of the approach presented here is that extreme wet and dry spells are simulated, which is crucial for evaluation of effective flood and drought management policies for the basin.  相似文献

Coumarin is an active principle found in several vegetable species with a characteristic smell of vanilla. It is widely used as a perfume fixer, paint and spray additive, and in cleaning products. It also possesses clinical value due to antibiotic and analgesic properties, besides its potential use in the treatment of cancer and AIDS. The objective of this work was to obtain solubility data for coumarin under several conditions, as well as to evaluate process parameters for its extraction from emburana seeds with supercritical CO2. The process parameters studied were temperature, pressure, CO2 flow rate and particle size of the seeds. The solubility in supercritical CO2 was correlated using the Peng–Robinson equation. Solid-supercritical fluid and liquid-supercritical fluid equilibria were considered and correlated separately, with L-SC presenting better results due to the effect of the melting point depression of coumarin under high pressure. The results showed significant effects of pressure and temperature on the extraction yield and also, the smaller the particle size of the seeds, the better the yield.  相似文献

The present work deals with problem of detection of isomorphism which is frequently encountered in structural synthesis of kinematic chains. A new method has been proposed using two invariants called as First adjacency chain link string [FACLS] and Second adjacency chain link string [SACLS]. These invariants take into account the degree of links and type of joints and are used as the composite identification number of a KC. The proposed method is easy to compute, reliable and capable of detecting isomorphism in all types of compound KC, i.e. chains of single or multi degree of freedom with simple or multiple joints. This study will help the designer to select the best KC and mechanisms to perform the specified task at conceptual stage of design. Some examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of this method.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to assist users and to determine how digital proofing systems used in colour management effect print qualities. Also the main theme of this study is to determine the effects of digital proofing systems used in colour management on print quality by artificial neural network (ANN). The R2 values are obtained 0.99702 and 0.99688 for training data as matte and cuated papers, respectively. Similarly, these values for testing data are 0.994707 and 0.99629, respectively. The ANN approach shows greater accuracy for evaluating colour management. Based on the outputs of the study, ANN model can be used to estimate the effects of digital proofing systems used in colour management on print quality with highly confidence.  相似文献

The present article highlights some preliminary investigations on the role of oxidant and medium on the nanostructured morphology of poly (1-naphthylamine) (PNA) prepared via chemical oxidative polymerization. Results revealed that the nano morphology can be controlled under appropriate preparative conditions. The particle sizes were obtained in the range of 5–50 nm exhibiting a much smaller range than polyaniline (PANI) nanoparticles synthesized under similar conditions.  相似文献

Chemical oxygen-iodine Laser (COIL) is one of the fast emerging high power laser source for near Infrared (λ=1.315μm) laser generation. The heart of the system is the singlet oxygen generator (SOG) which is a pumping source for this laser. A Jet type SOG with a novel approach was designed and fabricated. Singlet oxygen was taken out of the SOG at an angle of 40° thus avoiding the carry over of droplets, which is one of the major drawbacks of horizontal system. The preliminary results have been reported in our earlier publication. The present paper discusses the performance of this generator for various operational conditions viz. diluent's gas nitrogen / helium, basic hydrogen peroxide composition, generator pressure and gas velocity. Further, conditions for the stable operation from generator as well as chlorine injection point of view have been identified.  相似文献

This paper addresses the dynamic cell formation problem (DCF). In dynamic environment, the product demand and mix changes in each period of a multiperiod planning horizon. It causes need of reconfiguration of cells to respond to the product demand and mix change in each period. This paper proposes a mixed-integer nonlinear programming model to design the dynamic cellular manufacturing systems (DCMSs) under dynamic environment. The proposed model, to the best of the author??s knowledge, is the most comprehensive model to date with more integrated approach to the DCMSs. The proposed DCMS model integrates concurrently the important manufacturing attributes in existing models in a single model such as machine breakdown effect in terms of machine repair cost effect and production time loss cost effect to incorporate reliability modeling; production planning in terms of part inventory holding, part internal production cost, and part outsourcing; process batch size; transfer batch size for intracell travel; transfer batch size for intercell travel; lot splitting; alternative process plan, and routing and sequence of operation; multiple copies of identical copies; machine capacity, cutting tooling requirements, work load balancing, and machine in different cells constraint; machine in same cell constraint; and machine procurements and multiple period dynamic cell reconfiguration. Further, the objective of the proposed model is to minimize the sum of various costs such as intracell movement costs; intercell movement costs and machine procurement costs; setup cost; cutting tool consumption costs; machine operation costs; production planning-related costs such as internal part production cost, part holding costs, and subcontracting costs; system reconfiguration costs; and machine breakdown repair cost, production time loss cost due to machine breakdown, machine maintenance overheads, etc. ,in an integrated manner. Nonlinear terms of objective functions are transformed into linear terms to make mixed-integer linear programming model. The proposed model has been demonstrated with several problems, and results have been presented accordingly.  相似文献
