In this paper, we investigate local asymptotic stability ensured by the addition of Gaussian white noise into dynamical systems. There are different stability notions for stochastic systems, such as asymptotic stability in probability (ASiP) and uniform almost sure asymptotic stability (UASAS). The local ASiP property is incapable of ensuring that sample paths converge to the origin with probability one, whereas the local UASAS property is capable of it. However, in general, the local UASAS property requires tight conditions. Here, we provide our notion of local almost sure asymptotic stability (local ASAS) to relax the conditions with both almost sure convergence of sample paths to the origin and the existence of bounded (weak) invariant sets. We find that the addition of Gaussian white noise always prevents the origin from being locally UASAS as long as we consider smooth Lyapunov functions; however, it is possible to make the origin locally ASAS. The result is confirmed by a simple example of elimination of unstable equilibria by deliberately adding Gaussian white noise. 相似文献

In this contribution, we obtain a nonlinear controller for a class of nonlinear time delay systems, by using the inverse optimality approach. We avoid the solution of the Hamilton Jacobi Bellman type equation and the determination of the Bellman's functional by extending the inverse optimality approach for delay free nonlinear systems to time delay nonlinear systems. This is achieved by combining the Control Lyapunov Function framework and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals of complete type. Explicit formulas for an optimal control are obtained. The efficiency of the proposed method is illustrated via experimental results applied to a dehydration process whose model includes a delayed state linear part and a delayed nonlinear part. To give evidence of the good performance of the proposed control law, experimental comparison against an industrial Proportional Integral Derivative controller and optimal linear controller. This paper investigates the robust H∞ control problem for continuous‐time piecewise time‐delay systems by using piecewise continuous Lyapunov function. The uncertainties of the systems under consideration are expressed in a linear fractional form. A strict linear matrix inequality approach is developed to obtain delay‐dependent asymptotic stability conditions and H∞ performance. The H∞ controller design problem is solved by exploiting the cone complementarity linearization (CCL) method. Finally an example is given to illustrate the application of the proposed approach. The robust stability and stabilization, and H-infinity control problems for discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems with parameter uncertainties are discussed. Based on the restricted system equivalent (r.s.e.) transformation and by introducing new state vectors, the singular system is transformed into a discrete-time Markovian jump standard linear system, and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions for the discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems to be regular, causal, stochastically stable, and stochastically stable with 7- disturbance attenuation are obtained, respectively. With these conditions, the robust state feedback stochastic stabilization problem and H-infinity control problem are solved, and the LMI conditions are obtained.
