Landslide is a major geo-environmental hazard which imparts serious threat to lives and properties. The slope failures are due to adverse inherent geological conditions triggered by an external factor. This paper proposes a new method for the prediction of displacement of step-like landslides, by accounting the controlling factors, using recently proposed extreme learning adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ELANFIS) with empirical mode decomposition (EMD) technique. ELANFIS reduces the computational complexity of conventional ANFIS by incorporating the theoretical idea of extreme learning machines (ELM). The rainfall data and reservoir level elevation data are also integrated into the study. The nonlinear original landslide displacement series, rainfall data, and reservoir level elevation data are first converted into a limited number of intrinsic mode functions (IMF) and one residue. Then decomposed displacement data are predicted by using appropriate ELANFIS model. Final prediction is obtained by the summation of outputs of all ELANFIS sub models. The performance of proposed the technique is tested for the prediction Baishuihe and Shiliushubao landslides. The results show that ELANFIS with EMD model outperforms other methods in terms of generalization performance. 相似文献

Owing to the ever increasing requirements in sustainability, manufacturing firms are trying to reduce their energy consumption and cost. In this paper, we propose a simulation-based machine shop operations scheduling system for minimizing the energy cost without sacrificing the productivity. The proposed system consists of two major functions: (1) real-time energy consumption monitoring (through power meters, a database server, and mobile applications) and (2) simulation-based machine shop operations scheduling (through a machine shop operations simulator). First, the real-time energy consumption monitoring function is developed to collect energy consumption data and provide real-time energy consumption status monitoring/electrical load abnormality warnings. Second, the simulation-based machine shop operations scheduling function is devised to estimate the energy consumptions and cost of CNC machines. In addition, an additive regression algorithm is developed to formulate energy consumption models for each individual machine as simulation inputs. The proposed system is implemented at a manufacturing company located in Tucson, Arizona state of USA. The experiment results reveal the effectiveness of the proposed system in achieving energy cost savings without sacrificing the productivity under various scenarios of machine shop operations. 相似文献

A topology optimization methodology is proposed for the flexible multibody system undergoing both large overall motion and large deformation. The system of concern is modeled via the absolute nodal coordinate formulation. The equivalent static load method is employed to transform the topology optimization of the nonlinear dynamic response of the system into a static one, and evaluated to adapt to the absolute nodal coordinate formulation by splitting the elastic deformations of the flexible components from the overall motions of those components. During the static topology optimization, the material interface is implicitly described as the zero level set of a higher-dimensional scalar function. Then, the semi-implicit level set method with the additive operator splitting algorithm is employed to solve the corresponding Hamilton-Jacobi partial differential equation. In addition, the expert evaluation method of weights based on the grey theory is utilized to define the objective function, and a modified augmented Lagrange multiplier method is proposed to treat the inequality volume constraint so as to avoid the oscillation and drift of the volume. In this work a two step approach to efficiently carrying out hyper parameter optimisation, required for building kriging and gradient enhanced kriging metamodels, is presented. The suggested approach makes use of an initial line search along the hyper-diagonal of the design space in order to find a suitable starting point for a subsequent gradient based optimisation algorithm. During the optimisation an upper bound constraint is imposed on the condition number of the correlation matrix in order to keep it from being ill conditioned. Partial derivatives of both the condensed log likelihood function and the condition number are obtained using the adjoint method, the latter has been derived in this work. The approach is tested on a number of analytical examples and comparisons are made to other optimisation approaches. Finally the approach is used to construct metamodels for a finite element model of an aircraft wing box comprising of 126 thickness design variables and is then compared with a sub-set of the other optimisation approaches. 相似文献

In the present paper, an innovative procedure for designing the feedback control of multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) nonlinear stochastic systems to target a specified stationary probability density function (SPDF) is proposed based on the technique for obtaining the exact stationary solutions of the dissipated Hamiltonian systems. First, the control problem is formulated as a controlled, dissipated Hamiltonian system together with a target SPDF. Then the controlled forces are split into a conservative part and a dissipative part. The conservative control forces are designed to make the controlled system and the target SPDF have the same Hamiltonian structure (mainly the integrability and resonance). The dissipative control forces are determined so that the target SPDF is the exact stationary solution of the controlled system. Five cases, i.e., non-integrable Hamiltonian systems, integrable and non-resonant Hamiltonian systems, integrable and resonant Hamiltonian systems, partially integrable and non-resonant Hamiltonian systems, and partially integrable and resonant Hamiltonian systems, are treated respectively. A method for proving that the transient solution of the controlled system approaches the target SPDF as t→∞ is introduced. Image-to-class (I2C) distance is a novel measure for image classification and has successfully handled datasets with large intra-class variances. However, due to the lack of a training phase, the performance of this distance is easily affected by irrelevant local features that may hurt the classification accuracy. Besides, the success of this I2C distance relies heavily on the large number of local features in the training set, which requires expensive computation cost for classifying test images. On the other hand, if there are small number of local features in the training set, it may result in poor performance.In this paper, we propose a distance learning method to improve the classification accuracy of this I2C distance as well as two strategies for accelerating its NN search. We first propose a large margin optimization framework to learn the I2C distance function, which is modeled as a weighted combination of the distance from every local feature in an image to its nearest-neighbor (NN) in a candidate class. We learn these weights associated with local features in the training set by constraining the optimization such that the I2C distance from image to its belonging class should be less than that to any other class. We evaluate the proposed method on several publicly available image datasets and show that the performance of I2C distance for classification can significantly be improved by learning a weighted I2C distance function. To improve the computation cost, we also propose two methods based on spatial division and hubness score to accelerate the NN search, which is able to largely reduce the on-line testing time while still preserving or even achieving a better classification accuracy. 相似文献

This paper aims to reduce the problems of incomplete data in computed tomography, which happens frequently in medical image process and analysis, e.g., when the high-density region of objects can only be penetrated by X-rays at a limited angular range. As the projection data are available only in an angular range, the incomplete data problem can be attributed to the limited angle problem, which is an ill-posed inverse problem. Image reconstruction based on total variation (TV) reduces the problem and gives better performance on edge-preserving reconstruction; however, the artificial parameter can only be determined through considerable experimentation. In this paper, an effective TV objective function is proposed to reduce the inverse problem in the limited angle tomography. This novel objective function provides a robust and effective reconstruction without any artificial parameter in the iterative processes, using the TV as a multiplicative constraint. The results demonstrate that this reconstruction strategy outperforms some previous ones. 相似文献
