Integrating Computing Resources on Multiple Grid-Enabled Job Scheduling Systems Through a Grid RPC System

We present a framework for a parallel programming model by remote procedure calls, which bridge large-scale computing resource pools managed by multiple Grid-enabled job scheduling systems. With this system, the user can exploit not only remote servers and clusters, but also the computing resources provided by Grid-enabled job scheduling systems located on different sites. This framework requires a Grid remote procedure call (RPC) system to decouple the computation in a remote node from the Grid RPC mechanism and uses document-based communication rather than connection-based communication. We implemented the proposed framework as an extension of the OmniRPC system, which is a Grid RPC system for parallel programming. We designed a general interface to easily adapt the OmniRPC system to various Grid-enabled job scheduling systems, including XtremWeb, CyberGRIP, Condor and Grid Engine. We show the preliminary performance of these implementations using a phylogenetic application. We found that the proposed system can achieve approximately the same performance as OmniRPC and can handle interruptions in worker programs on remote nodes. 在分布式事务处理系统中需要持久存储的数据资源的参与来保证事务的持久性,数据库系统（DBMS）的广泛使用为事务系统提供了丰富的数据源,将分布式事务系统同现有的数据库系统的集成具有非常重要的意义,本文研究了通用请求代理体系结构（CORBA中的对象事务服务（OTS）和关系数据库系统的集成机制,提出了对象事务服务和数据库系统集成模型,设计并实现了数据库连接器DBConnector,完成了事务服务系统和数据库系统的无缝集成。     

Integrated A.I. systems

The broad range of capabilities exhibited by humans and animals is achieved through a large set of heterogeneous, tightly integrated cognitive mechanisms. To move artificial systems closer to such general-purpose intelligence we cannot avoid replicating some subset—quite possibly a substantial portion—of this large set. Progress in this direction requires that systems integration be taken more seriously as a fundamental research problem. In this paper I make the argument that intelligence must be studied holistically. I present key issues that must be addressed in the area of integration and propose solutions for speeding up rate of progress towards more powerful, integrated A.I. systems, including (a) tools for building large, complex architectures, (b) a design methodology for building realtime A.I. systems and (c) methods for facilitating code sharing at the community level.

企业门户Web资源整合及其实现的研究*

讨论了企业门户Web资源整合中的关键问题,分析并给出了相关整合技术方案。提出了一种特殊的远程门户组件Web服务（WSRP）实现机制WA2WP（Web Application to WSRP Portlet）,可将普通Web网站映射封装为虚拟门户组件发布;给出了改进的跨域单点登录机制SSO4EPI（Single Sign On for Enterprise Portal Integration）,可提供开放的接口形式和对跨安全域异构性的良好支持。最后结合应用实例说明以上方法的可行性和推广价值。     

异构系统集成中基于WS Addressing的消息安全转发方案

由于Web Services原有的消息寻址规范WSRouting存在安全隐患,W3C制定了WSAddressing规范,用于替代WSRouting。提出一种基于WSAddressing规范的解决方案,使用一致的寻址模式发送事件消息来实现消息级的安全,提高异构系统集成的安全性。

首先介绍小型软件企业进行过程改进所面临的困难,解释为什么小型企业和项目实施CMMI时会遇到很多阻力;然后基于一个典型组织CMMI改进进程,分析为什么CMMI的有关内容不适合于小型企业和项目的实际情况,并概括如何在文档、管理、评审、资源和培训等方面进行剪裁和改进,使之适合于小型企业和项目的实际需求。

异构集成技术正日益成为信息资源管理的一个热点技术。以地理信息共享的应用为背景,提出了基于Web Services的异构空间信息共享体系结构。通过引入Web Services技术架构,设计了一个异构空间信息共享系统。该系统可提供各信息源灵活、动态发布自身服务的功能,从而为快速构建异构集成系统提供了性能保证。
