ABSTRACT: Highly textured BiFeO3(001) films were formed on L10-FePt(001) bottom electrodes on glass substrates by sputtering at reduced temperature of 400 oC. Good electric polarization 2Pr = 80 and 95 muC/cm2, comparable to that of the reported epitaxial films, and coercivity Ec = 415 and 435 kV/cm are achieved in the samples with 20-nm- and 30-nm-thick electrode. The BiFeO3(001) films show different degree of compressive strain. The relation between the variations of strain and 2Pr suggests that the enhancement of 2Pr is resulted from the strain-induced rotation of spontaneous polarization. The presented results open possibilities for the applications based on electric-magnetic interactions. 相似文献

The influence of the cationic surfactant dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTABr) on the electrokinetic and rheological properties of a soda-activated bentonite was investigated. The electrokinetic and rheological measurements of the surfactant-bentonite (2 wt.%) system were performed at three pH values of 4, 8 and 12. The electrokinetic measurement results show that the DTABr was adsorbed on the bentonite mostly at pH 4 and 8, whereas X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies revealed that the DTABr surfactant enters the interlamellar space of the clay mineral at pH 8 and 12. Rheological data showed that the flow behavior changed with the surfactant concentration. The basal d(001)-spacings of DTABr-treated bentonite samples revealed expandability, from 14.8 to 16.8 Å. XRD results indicate a monolayer arrangement of the DTABr molecules parallel to the silicate layer. 相似文献

Interfacial defects due to a mismatch of 1.378% between substrate and epilayer were examined in a Si0.67Ge0.33/Si(001) superlattice by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Plan-view specimens from the superlattice were prepared to
investigate the defects in the structure. It was observed that 60°C-type misfit dislocations associate with point contrast
on and at their ends. This point contrast was found to represent threading dislocations by using tilt experiments in the microscope.
Consequently, stereo electron microscopy was used to examine the threading dislocations. It was discovered that the threading

[AlN/FePt] 10 , [AlN/FePt] 10 /Ag and Ag/[AlN/FePt] 10 thin films were deposited by magnetron sputtering onto 7059 glass substrates, then were annealed at 550 °C for 30 min. It is found that introducing non-magnetic Ag underlayer can improve the ordering and (001) preferred orientation of FePt grains. Furthermore, the (001) texture of FePt grains increases with increasing Ag underlayer thickness. However, with Ag top layer given, it can only be observed that the ordering of FePt grains was promoted. 相似文献
