This paper introduces a joint planning and management optimization approach for cellular networks to limit energy consumption while guaranteeing QoS and minimizing operators Capex and Opex. The modeling framework shows that an effective energy-efficient operation depends on the planning decisions. Conversely, it also shows that planning with energy management operation in view yields more versatile topologies than more traditional models based only on Capex. Results for LTE networks are provided and show that savings up to 65% in energy expenses are possible with slight increases in capital investments.  相似文献

Abstract

Roller-Walker is a leg–wheel hybrid mobile robot using a passive wheel equipped on the tip of each leg. The passive wheel can be transformed into sole mode by rotating the ankle roll joint when Roller-Walker walks on a rough terrain. This paper discusses the energy efficiency of locomotion in wheeled mode. We define a leg trajectory to produce forward straight propulsion, and discuss the relationships between the parameters of the leg trajectory and energy efficiency of the propulsion using a dynamics simulator. We find optimum parameter sets where optimization criterion is specific resistance. The results indicate that faster locomotion achieves higher energy efficiency. We then carry out hardware experiments and empirically derive the experimental specific resistance. We show that wheeled locomotion has an 8-times higher energy efficiency than the ordinary crawl gait. Finally, we compare the specific resistance of Roller-Walker with other walking robots described in the literature.  相似文献

The operation of ground-coupled heat pumps in combination with solar collectors requires comprising knowledge of the heat pump behavior under non-standard conditions. Especially higher temperatures and varying flow rates in comparison to non-solar systems have to be taken into account. Furthermore the dynamic behavior becomes more important.At ISFH, steady-state and dynamic tests of a typical brine/water heat pump have been carried out in order to analyze its behavior under varying operation conditions. It has been shown, that rising source temperatures do only significantly increase the coefficient of performance (COP), if the source temperature is below 10–20 °C, depending on the temperature lift between source and sink. The flow rate, which has been varied both on the source and the sink side, only showed a minor influence on the exergetic efficiency. Additionally a heat pump model for TRNSYS has been validated under non-standard conditions. The results are assessed by means of TRNSYS simulations.  相似文献

Solar-to-hydrogen conversion efficiencies of water-splitting photochathodes using epitaxially grown p-type 4H-, 6H- and 3C-SiC were estimated in a two-electrode system without applying any external bias. By using electrode materials with small oxygen overpotentials as counter electrodes, the photocurrent became comparable to that observed in a three-electrode system with a suitable bias. Estimated efficiencies seem to depend on the bandgap of the SiC polytypes. For the 3C-SiC, the obtained efficiency was 0.38%, which is so far the highest value reported for SiC. We confirmed that the hydrogen volumes estimated from the photocurrent were almost the same as actual volumes observed by gas chromatography.  相似文献

Co-sensitizer has been employed in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) to enhance light harvesting at organic/inorganic heterogeneous. Here, the multiple dyes@TiO2 interface has been investigated by density functional theory simulations, to explore the role of varied oligothiophene-functionalized co-sensitizers on the electron injection efficiency. In presence of co-sensitizers, the simulated absorption spectra broaden with the increasing of the number of thiophene from 0, 1, to 2. Meanwhile, the co-sensitizer modifies the energy alignment of interface, and influences the electronic coupling between dye and TiO2. Critically, the ratio of electron-hole recombination and electron injection rates krec/kinj based on Marcus theory for both dye and co-sensitizer decrease significantly with increasing of the number of oligothiophene, resulting in the improved electron injection efficiency. Our result implies that the electron injection efficiency depends on the number of thiophene in co-sensitizer largely, and appropriate number plays an active role in tuning the electronic properties of hybrid heterostructure.  相似文献

To solve the blockage and defer the fouling of sewage heat exchanger, a novel de-foulant hydrocyclone with continuous underflow and reflux function was proposed. Experimental results demonstrated that the novel hydrocyclone had a remarkable behavior on separating the sand (75–250 μm) and foulant (<4 mm). The continuous underflow and reflux function could significantly improve the separation efficiency by relieving the particle re-entrainment and eliminating the air core without increasing energy consumption (<17 kPa) and split ratio (<10%) considerably. Besides, the range of optimum vortex finder length was proportional to the particle density.  相似文献
