Effects of crack size and weld metal mismatch on the has cleavage toughness of wide plates

The heat affect zone (HAZ) is in many cases considered to be the most critical part of a weldment. In this paper, the effect of crack size and weld metal mismatch on the HAZ cleavage toughness of wide plate specimens with X-groove has been investigated by the J-Q-M theories and a simple micromechanism for cleavage fracture. Two crack sizes have been studied (a/w = 0.1 and 0.3). In the analyses, the HAZ yield strength is assumed to be higher than the base metal. For each crack size, weld metal local overmatch and local evenmatch with respect to the HAZ are considered. For a given global strain, the results indicate that weld metal overmatch and evenmatch yield the same crack tip loading in terms of J-integral for a/w = 0.3. For a/w = 0.1, overmatch gives lower crack tip loading than evenmatch. For a given crack tip loading, weld metal local evenmatch in general results in less effective crack tip loading than the overmatch. Overmatch is detrimental to HAZ toughness, but this detrimental effect becomes less significant when the crack size decreases.

Cognitive adaptation, psychological adjustment, and disease progression among angioplasty patents: 4 years later.

The long-term effects of the Cognitive Adaptation Theory Index (CATI) on psychological and physical health outcomes among men (n=199) and women (n=99) treated for coronary artery disease with percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty were examined. The CATI reflects a positive view of the self, a positive view of one's future, and a sense of personal control over daily life. This index was created from questionnaires administered during hospitalization for the initial angioplasty. Four years later, the CATI predicted positive adjustment to disease, even when initial adjustment was taken into consideration. In addition, the CATI predicted a reduced likelihood of sustaining a subsequent cardiac event over 4 yrs. This association was more robust for men. 基于DDS改进BT-4型扫频仪

基于DDS技术,改造BT 4型扫频仪中的扫频信号发生器,使其具有高稳定度、高分辨率、高精度的特点。同时为了使扫频仪能够对被测电路的动态范围进行检测,使扫频仪得到更广泛的应用,运用了AGC控制技术,首先使电压稳定在10 V;然后通过控制D/A使输出电压按测试需要输出。硬件给出了具体电路参数,软件给出了相应软件流程,总结了其他波型产生的方法。
