Crises are common in today's unpredictable environment rising the importance of crisis response strategies. Two societies in Europe are chosen: Finland, where trust in society is generalized to institutions, and Spain, where trust in society remains on the level of individuals. Using the results of the European Communication Monitor 2013 survey on crisis communication, we explored three hypotheses: “certain types of crises are often met with certain types of strategies,” “cultural context makes some crises more likely than others,” and “cultural context makes some response strategies more likely than others.” We find evidence for all three hypotheses and discuss our findings about perceived differences in the two societies. A comprehensive proteome map of T-lymphoblastic leukemia cells and its alterations after daunorubicin, doxorubicin and mitoxantrone treatments was monitored and evaluated either by paired comparison with relevant untreated control and using multivariate classification of treated and untreated samples. With the main focus on early time intervals when the influence of apoptosis is minimized, we found significantly different levels of proteins, which corresponded to 1%–2% of the total amount of protein spots detected. According to Gene Ontology classification of biological processes, the highest representation of identified proteins for all three drugs belong to metabolic processes of proteins and nucleic acids and cellular processes, mainly cytoskeleton organisation and ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. Importantly, we observed significant proportion of changes in proteins involved in the generation of precursor metabolites and energy typical for daunorubicin, transport proteins participating in response to doxorubicin and a group of proteins of immune system characterising response to mitoxantrone. Both a paired comparison and the multivariate evaluation of quantitative data revealed daunorubicin as a distinct member of the group of anthracycline/anthracenedione drugs. A combination of identified drug specific protein changes, which may help to explain anti-cancer activity, together with the benefit of blocking activation of adaptive cancer pathways, presents important approaches to improving treatment outcomes in cancer. 相似文献

Mixture design was used to determine the optimum ratio as well as concentration of basil seed gum (BSG), guar gum (GG) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) in the formulation of ice cream stabilisers. Predicted equations and contour plots of physicochemical responses were also generated. Generally, increasing the ratio of BSG in gums mixture increased the apparent viscosity of ice cream mixes and decreased the melting rate. Increasing the proportion of GG at concentration of 0.35% enhanced overrun of samples. High ratios of BSG at concentration of 0.35% and CMC at concentration of 0.15% increased the fat destabilisation in ice creams. Combination of 84.31% BSG and 15.69% CMC at concentration of 0.35% proposed as optimum formulation which verified in practice. Introducing BSG as a novel source of stabiliser could be promising as alternative and improve the quality and diversity of ice cream and related products. 相似文献

The inclusion of different ingredients or the use of different baking technologies may modify the satiety response to bread, and aid in the control of food intake. The aim of this study was to perform a systematic search of randomized clinical trials on the effect of bread consumption on appetite ratings in humans. The search equation was (“Bread”[MeSH]) AND (“Satiation”[MeSH] OR “Satiety response”[MeSH]), and the filter “clinical trials.” As a result of this procedure, 37 publications were selected. The satiety response was considered as the primary outcome. The studies were classified as follows: breads differing in their flour composition, breads differing in ingredients other than flours, breads with added organic acids, or breads made using different baking technologies. In addition, we have revised the data related to the influence of bread on glycemic index, insulinemic index and postprandial gastrointestinal hormones responses. The inclusion of appropriate ingredients such as fiber, proteins, legumes, seaweeds and acids into breads and the use of specific technologies may result in the development of healthier breads that increase satiety and satiation, which may aid in the control of weight gain and benefit postprandial glycemia. 目的 采用响应面法优化农产品中抗性淀粉(Resistant Starch, RS)的体外检测方法。方法 选择谷类、薯类、豆类3类抗性淀粉主要来源的农产品,设计单因素试验和Box-Behnken试验。单因素试验考察了水浴时间、淀粉葡萄糖苷酶(AMYLOGLUCOSIDASE, AMG)作用温度、AMG作用时间、AMG添加量和离心力与离心时间5个条件,并选择AMG作用温度、AMG作用时间、AMG添加量来设计Box-Behnken试验。结果 根据单因素试验,确定了水浴时间为14 h,离心条件选择4500 g离心5 min;根据响应面实验确定对RS含量检测结果影响程度排序为AMG添加量>AMG作用时间>AMG作用温度。结合单因素响应面试验,确定最佳检测方法为水浴14 h,4500 g离心5 min,AMG作用温度49℃、AMG添加量0.2 mL、AMG作用时间38 min。结论 优化后的方法重复性良好,适用于玉米、马铃薯和红豆3类样品,且有望适用于其他主要农产品。 相似文献

Using a monthly data between 2008 and 2019, this study investigated how the development of the Internet technologies has shaped the consumer consumption pattern of different types of paper products in China during this period. In detail, this study covers four major types of paper products in the Chinese market: newsprint, printing paper, household paper, and packaging paper. The developments of Internet technologies were decomposed into two aspects: the communication technology (CT) and the software platform technology (PT). Granger causality analysis was employed to determine whether the consumption pattern of paper products was affected by the development of the Internet. Furthermore, impulse-response analyses were utilized to measure how the consumption pattern of each paper product was shaped by the development of each aspect of Internet technologies, i.e., CT or PT. The empirical results suggested that the Internet developments are causing the consumption patterns shifts of all four paper products. Specifically, the consumptions of newsprint and printing paper were driven by both CT and PT. However, the consumptions of packaging paper and household paper were driven by the PT only. Compared to the development of CT, we found that the quick evolution of PT plays a more significant role in shifting people's consumption of paper products in China. The empirical results revealed by this study could provide valuable economics and policy implications to both academia and relevant industries. 相似文献
