Life cycle of hydroprocessing catalysts and total catalyst management

Hydroprocessing catalysts based on Ni, Co, Mo and W are used in various refinery processing applications where several deactivation mechanisms become of importance (coke formation, active phase sintering, metals deposition, poisoning) in the catalyst's life cycle. The life cycle of commercial hydroprocessing catalysts is very complex and includes the catalyst production, sulfidation, use, oxidative regeneration followed by re-sulfidation and reuse or, if reuse is not possible, recycling or disposal. To understand the changes in catalyst properties taking place during a life cycle, the catalyst quality in the different stages can be best monitored by using advanced analytical techniques. The catalyst's life cycle is further complicated by numerous technical, environmental and organizational issues involved. In principle, different companies can be involved in each of the life cycle steps. Leading catalyst manufacturers, together with specialized firms, offer refineries a total catalyst management concept, starting with the purchase of the fresh catalyst and ending with its final recycling or disposal. Total catalyst management includes a broad range of services, ensuring optimal timing during the change-out process, reliable, smooth and safe operations, minimal downtime and maximum catalyst and unit performance.     

CPLD在雷达伺服轴角编码电路中的应用

介绍一种针对正、余弦旋转变压器—数字转换器(RDC)模块，用复杂可编程逻辑器件(CPLD)技术实现伺服轴角编码电路设计的方案。分析了轴角编码器系统中14XSZ系列旋转变压器—数字转换器的原理、轴角粗精组合原理及轴角纠错原理。详细介绍了CPLD的内部功能电路、CPLD轴角粗精组合和纠错实现电路，以及CPLD的工作时序图。提出了利用CPLD实现轴角粗精组合处理的方案，并通过了实际系统运行的考验，证明该方案可行。     

CDMA发射分集系统的多用户检测常模算法分析

空时分集技术的最大优点在于在不增加带宽的情况下可以提高系统的可靠性,是目前移动通信的研究热点.常模算法是一种性能优良的码分多址(CDMA)盲多用户检测技术,能确保判决信号与实际传送信号之间的差错较小,误码率性能良好.文中提出将标准线性受限常模算法(LCCMA)与空时分组码(STBC)相结合,设计出一种收敛快、能够改善系统性能的基于2-空时分组码的多用户接收机.

Corrosion fatigue short crack growth behaviour in a high strength steel

The influence of an aggressive environment (0.6 M, aerated NaCl solution) on short fatigue crack initiation and growth behaviour has been studied. The study involved three major test series, namely: air fatigue, corrosion fatigue, and intermittent air fatigue/corrosion fatigue. The above tests carried out under fully reversed torsional loading conditions at a frequency of 5 Hz, showed that it was the non-metallic inclusions which took part in crack initiation resulting from debonding at metal matrix/inclusion interface and pitting of inclusions in both air and corrosove environments, respectively. Short fatigue crack growth results in these two environments obtained by using plastic replication technique, indicated a large effect of microstructure i.e. prior austenite grain boundaries. The stage/stages at which the environmental contribution was dominant has been discussed by considering the results achieved from intermittent tests. However, the mechanisms involved in corrosion fatigue short crack growth have also been described in the light of results obtained from futher investigations carried out by conducting corrosion fatigue tests under applied cathodic potential conditions and tests on hydrogen pre-charged specimens under air fatigue and uniaxial tension conditions.     

光刻胶灰化工艺与深亚微米线条的制作

随着器件尺寸的缩小，细线条的制作成为很关键的工艺，普通光学光刻已接近其分辨率的极限，而电子束光刻和Ｘ射线光刻技术复杂、费用昂贵。本文对光刻胶灰化工艺进行了分析和研究，并应用此工艺进行了深亚微米线条的制作，在普通光学光刻机上制作出宽度小于０．２５μｍ细线条。我们已将此工艺成功地应用在深亚微米ＭＯＳＦＥＴ的制作中。     

Design of pole-assignment controller for systems with algebraic-equation constraint

In this paper we have studied the control of linear systems with algebraic-equation constraint. A pole-assignment controller with two-layer structure for such constrained systems has been presented. The objective of the controller is to assign the desired poles to constrained system and simultaneously force the corresponding closed-loop system to satisfy the constraint. The conditions for the existence of pole-assignment controller are discussed in different cases. The implementation algorithm of pole-assignment controller is also presented. An example is given to illustrate the validity of the method in this paper.     

Flashover voltage characteristics of contaminated station insulators under temporary ac overvoltages in the ac system connected with a frequency converter station

According to the recent analysis results of temporary ac overvoltage in the ac system connected with a frequency converter station, large-magnitude over-voltages were confirmed to occur under some special system conditions. Most of the station insulators currently used cannot withstand such overvoltages according to an evaluation based on the data obtained earlier. The necessity of tests to be done to evaluate such performance more accurately was recognized. Both power frequency and switching impulse overvoltage flashover tests were made on contaminated insulators by the method well simulating the natural wetting condition. Switching impulse flashover voltage with the waveshape having a long wavefront time of 2 ms can be well correlated with the flashover voltage characteristics of temporary ac overvoltage. Higher flashover voltage characteristics were obtained by a clean fog test method compared with those obtained by equivalent fog test method.
