Background

Preoperatively acquired diffusion tensor image (DTI) and blood oxygen level dependent (BOLD) have been proved to be effective in providing more anatomical and functional information; however, the brain deformation induced by brain shift and tumor resection severely impairs the correspondence between the image space and the patient space in image-guided neurosurgery.

Method

To address the brain deformation, we developed a hybrid non-rigid registration method to register high-field preoperative MRI with low-field intra-operative MRI in order to recover the deformation induced by brain shift and tumor resection. The registered DTI and BOLD are fused with low-field intra-operative MRI for image-guided neurosurgery.

Results

The proposed hybrid registration method was evaluated by comparing the landmarks predicted by the hybrid registration method with the landmarks identified in the low-field intra-operative MRI for 10 patients. The prediction error of the hybrid method is 1.92 ± 0.54 mm, and the compensation accuracy is 74.3 ± 5.0%. Compared to the landmarks far from the resection region, those near the resection region demonstrated a higher compensation accuracy (P-value = .003) although these landmarks had larger initial displacements.

Conclusions

The proposed hybrid registration method is able to bring preoperatively acquired BOLD and DTI into the operating room and compensate for the deformation to augment low-field intra-operative MRI with rich anatomical and functional information.  相似文献

检测尿微量白蛋白(MAU)可对轻微肾脏损害进行早期诊断,也可对高血压患者可能发生的心脑血管事件进行预测。实验将抗体通过巯基自组装固定于Au膜表面,研制了一种快速检测MAU的表面等离子体共振(SPR)生物传感器。结果表明:直接检测法可以检测到0.3μg/L的MAU,而纳米Au放大法检测限可以低至0.03μg/L。  相似文献

We report a novel method of polyimide (PI) synthesis from prepolymers based on dianhydrides and diacetyl derivatives of aromatic diamines that facilitate the preparation of a melt processable mixture at 300 ± 10°C of the prepolymer and magnetic Nd‐Fe‐B alloy to provide PI‐bonded magnets with enhanced properties. It is shown that chemical structure of the prepolymers strongly influences viscosity behavior via crystallization of the oligoimide in the melt, leading to formation of PI with rigid‐rod like structure. This structural ordering of the prepolymers based on diacetyl derivative of diamine used in this study, if not controlled, leads to exponential increase of melt viscosity with time, making it practically impossible to prepare melt processable mixture of the magnetic particles and the PI prepolymers at elevated temperatures. The results obtained demonstrate that appropriate dianhydrides and diacetyl derivatives of diamines that do not lead to crystallization of oligoimides in prepolymer mixture can be used under controlled processing conditions to prepare melt‐processable PI‐bonded magnets containing rigid‐rod like PI structure that significantly increases thermal stability of the magnets. The temperature dependencies of the magnetic properties of the PI‐bonded magnets under conditions that they are likely to encounter during their service life were found to be remarkably similar to that of commercial thermoplastic magnets such as injection‐molded nylon magnets. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 人脑功能连通性检测是神经科学研究的重要技术.使用受限制波兹曼机(RestrictedBoltzmannMachine,RBM)对大量多被试功能磁共振(functionalMagneticResonanceImaging,fMRI)数据进行建模可以检测人脑功能连接,但是不能有效检测单被试数据的功能连接.本文研究一种新颖的融合了稀疏近似与RBM技术的脑功能连通性检测模型,该模型充分利用fMRI数据的稀疏性,采用稀疏近似理论对fMRI数据进行空间域稀疏近似压缩,然后使用RBM建立模型,以检测脑功能连通性.实验结果表明,该融合模型可以有效地提取单被试数据的脑功能时间域混合模型及其相应的脑功能图谱,解决了RBM在单被试数据分析上的瓶颈.  相似文献

Oxidation of trans-polyacetylene lowers the activation energy for conduction from 16 kcal mol?1 to 11 kcal mol?1 for oxidation levels of (C2H2On)x, n = 0.144, 0.207 and 0.550. Maximum conductivity levels for 0 < x < 0.144 doped with I2 were almost identical. At long I2 doping times all samples exhibited some loss of conductivity. E.s.r. experiments indicate that: (1) linewidth is directly proportional to oxygen content, and (2) iodine doping is not diffusion controlled. All data are consistent with a molecular picture of PAC consisting of highly reactive localized spin states that are selectively oxidized, and less reactive delocalized states that affect conductivity more strongly via doping.  相似文献

机械合金化(MA)是一种材料固态非平衡加工新技术.本文主要探讨稀土元素Dy在机械合金化工艺条件下对磁制冷合金GdSiGe磁熵变的影响,发现用机械合金化制备的GdSiGeDy合金系室温磁制冷材料不仅有光滑的磁熵变曲线,而且研究表明,由于元素Dy的加入在磁熵变达到单质Gd的两倍情况下大量减少使用昂贵元素Ge的结果,具有明显经济效益.  相似文献

Magnetic iron oxide (Fe3O4) was prepared by a coprecipitation method. Core–shell composite magnetic polymer microspheres with carboxyl groups were synthesized by the dispersion polymerization of styrene and acrylic acid in the presence of magnetic oxide, and dibenzoyl peroxide was used as an initiator. The synthesized magnetic polymer microspheres were characterized with X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and so forth. The results indicated that the product was single‐phase Fe3O4, and its average size was about 10 nm. The configuration of the microspheres, which contained carboxyl groups, was spherical, and the average size was about 2 μm. The results of vibrating sample magnetometry tests showed that the magnetic powders produced by different surfactants had different saturation magnetizations. When poly(ethylene glycol) with a weight‐average molecular weight of 4000 was used as a surfactant, the saturation magnetization of the samples reached 69.2 emu/g.
