Using an integrated process of data and modeling in HRA

The paper describes an approach taken to estimate the probabilities of failure associated with various railroad tasks to prevent accidents (principally collisions and derailments). These probabilities were estimated using an expert elicitation process that used partially relevant data available from a variety of databases and that were filtered and scaled to make them more directly relevant to the analyses being performed. Extensive qualitative studies were performed prior to the elicitation process to identify relevant contexts under which the tasks can be performed.

含缺陷压力管道经缺陷评定合乎使用后,其疲劳寿命的估计具有重要的工程意义。将整个含缺陷压力管道作为一个整体,分析了含缺陷压力管道的疲劳裂纹扩展特点,提出了相应的含缺陷压力管道疲劳寿命的计算过程,并在基于可靠性评价的基础上,给出了核压力管道的可接受失效概率,最终得到了含缺陷核压力管道疲劳寿命预测方法。

Assessment of Anger and Aggression in Male Offenders With Developmental Disabilities.

Systematic assessment of anger among people with developmental disabilities has been lacking, especially for hospital inpatients. Reliability and validity of anger self-report psychometric scales were investigated with 129 male patients, mostly forensic. Anger prevalence and its relationship to demographic, cognitive, and personality variables and to hospital assaultive behavior were examined. High internal and intermeasure consistency, and some concurrent validity with staff ratings, were found. Retrospective validity regarding physically assaultive behavior in the hospital was obtained. Hierarchical regressions revealed that patient-reported anger was a significant predictor of assaults postadmission, controlling for age, length of stay, IQ, violence offense history, and personality variables. 高抗挤厚壁套管的性能及应用效果评价

中原油田套管损坏的主要原因是现有套管强度不够,无法抵抗盐膏层段的巨大外挤力。开发了TP130TT型高抗挤厚壁套管,其强度能很好地抵抗盐膏层巨大外挤力。实验室试验表明,各项性能指标达到了设计要求,现场使用取得了很好的效果,解决了中原油田盐膏层段套管强度不足的难题。     

On the Way to Assess Emotions in Animals: Do Lambs (Ovis aries) Evaluate an Event Through Its Suddenness, Novelty, or Unpredictability?

Appraisal theories provide a framework that gives insight into emotions and could allow comparisons across species. According to these theories, events are first evaluated on their suddenness, novelty, and unpredictability. The authors examined the ability of lambs (Ovis aries) to evaluate an event according to these 3 criteria through 3 tests. The lambs responded to suddenness with a startle response coupled with an increase in heart rate and to novelty with an orientation response coupled with an increase of vagal activity. There was no clear evidence that lambs can detect the predictability of an event. Those results support the usefulness of appraisal theories to assess emotion in animals. 火成岩储层测井评价进展综述

十多年来,国内外火成岩储层测井评价已从交会图定性分析发展到用岩心分析资料建立裂缝性储层的测井解释模型，半定量、定量评价裂缝。成像测井和核磁测井的纵、横向分辨率高，经过地质刻度，可以较精细地识别岩性和裂缝，在解释火成岩方面有良好的效果。提高岩性识别准确率，识别复杂火成岩储层和孔隙流体，以及综合评价火成岩储层裂缝、饱和度等参数，仍然是火成岩储层测井评价所面临的难题。加强岩石物理基础实验，研究火成岩储层导电机理，系统研究火成岩储层测井评价理论，推广测井新技术在火成岩中的应用，建立统一的测井评价方法，将成为火成岩储层测井评价的发展趋势。
