A PROCEDURE FOR EVALUATION OF COMMERCIAL FCC CATALYSTS

Based on the correlations between laboratory units and commercial plants, a procedure has been developed to guide commercial FCC (Fluid Catalytic Cracking) catalysts selection. Examining the operability of catalyst mixtures during catalyst transition period is emphasized. The testing procedure is simple and reliable. A commercially available catalyst and the catalyst currently in use have been compared to demonstrate the applicability of this procedure. The commercial testing has confirmed the reliability of laboratory results. The use of the catalyst evaluated led to a 30% saving in catalyst cost.

Anaerobic fermentation of xylose by pichia stipitis: The effect of forced cycling of ph

Xylose fermentation by Pichia stipitis was examined using a two-stage batch process. The cells were first grown aerobically on D-xylose (5 g/L), whereafter additional xylose (10 g/L) was added and fermented during anaerobic conditions (T=30°C). The optimum pH value for a fermentation with constant pH was found to be 4.5 (maximum specific ethanol production rate 0.21 g/(g h). Forced square wave cycling of the pH between 4 and 5, and 3.5 and 5.5 (cycle time 30 min) during the fermentation stage resulted in a fermentation rate lower than the maximum rate, but with unchanged ethanol yields.

提高Φ2.2 m×7.5 m矿渣磨产量和细度的措施

福建三明水泥厂矿渣和熟料易磨性不同,制约了 2.2 m×6.5m闭路水泥磨系统的产质量,导致产量低仅12 t/h;矿渣掺量低,仅7％;水泥强度低R28仅达47.0MPa。为此该厂增加了2台 2.2m×7.5m开流磨单独粉磨矿渣,实现熟料矿渣分别粉磨工艺。同时对 2_2m×6.5m矿渣磨进行结构改造和工艺操作参数调整。这样二套粉磨系统可根据熟料和矿渣的不同粉磨特性分别进行操作控制,工厂实现了高产高质,高矿渣掺量(达15％)和低成本生产。     

浅谈岱庄煤矿热电厂热工自动化系统的应用

岱庄煤矿热电厂热工自动化系统于2001年2月12日开始施工，于2001年7月2日竣工并投入使用，自投运以来，运行稳定，工作可靠，为岱庄煤矿热电厂的安全经济运行提供了可靠的保证。
