“航天器控制原理”是航天控制专业本科生的基础核心课程。通过对“课程资源”、“教学方法”、“课程思政”三个方面的教学创新方法研究与实践,提升了学生思维思辨能力与认知层次,达到“以课程为载体,实现对‘人’本身思维、品质、能力的教育和提升”育人理念的实现,完成了本课程“听得懂,能理解,会应用,能创新”的教学目标。并在多届学生中完成创新教学方法试点,取得了好的教学效果。

城市空间的发展本质上是各种社会关系相互作用过程的物化表现，西方市政空间的演变背后反映的正是西方市民、社会、国家互动的历史，考察市政建筑和市政广场在不同意识形态的作用下的演变脉络，使我们可以从社会学角度重新审视这种城市空间的本质内涵。     

Wild times and domesticated times: the temporalities of environmental lifestyles and politics

In this paper, I explore how environmental movements and lifestyles, like all forms of human action, produce their own characteristic kinds of time. During this exploration, I introduce a number of concepts which I suggest are useful in understanding these temporalities—chronological and kairological time; linear and cyclic time; segmentation and plot; orientation and synchronisation. Whereas the environment as described by the natural sciences is one dominated by chronological, linear time, human time is also kairological, suffused with meaning and intention. The varieties of human action also produce their own distinctive temporalities—some linear, some cyclic, some oriented to external goals, some self-sufficient. The logic of kairological time also requires that we understand individual events and actions as ‘figures’ against a temporal ‘ground’—one that is characteristically organised into an overarching narrative, or broken up into distinctive time segments. Furthermore, human experience is not just situated in time, but orients itself within time—it faces ‘backwards’ into the past, ‘forwards’ into the future, or commits itself to the present. Finally, lived time is also sometimes synchronised with other times—with that of proximate or distant others, or with historical narratives of progress or decline.     

Devolution, new regionalism and economic revitalization in Japan: Emerging urban political economy and politics of scale in Osaka-Kansai

Determining that the centralized political system is the cause of its persistent economic problems, Japan’s political leaders have been promoting neoliberalism-oriented state decentralization since the early 2000s. Stimulated by this policy, the prefecture of Osaka - the center of Japan’s second economic region - and its neighbors established a federation-type regional government in December 2010. However, some members left this regionalist coalition before its launch, which demonstrates the existance of internal tensions. In this study, the frameworks of Institutional Collective Action and politics of scale are applied to examine the regionalism decision-making process. Our findings suggest: (1) systemic political and economic biases run within the regionalism and (2) the likely urban economic and governance conditions after the devolution would be much more uncertain and messier than the reform advocates suggest they would be.     

“I like them,but won't ‘like’ them”: An examination of impression management associated with visible political party affiliation on Facebook

Unlike traditional media, our interactions with political parties via social media are generally public, subject to scrutiny by others and, consequently, a self-presentation concern. This paper contributes to theory on impression management within social network sites (SNSs) by providing an understanding of the effect of visible affiliation on page ‘Liking’ behavior in the context of political parties; specifically, the possible association with social anxiety and the use of protective impression management. We predict that while users may be motivated to ‘Like’ a political party, some may feel socially anxious about the impressions their friends may derive from this action, and so ultimately choose to refrain from ‘Liking’ the party. Furthermore, we propose a new function of ‘Secret Likes’ (i.e. ‘Likes’ that others cannot see) as a means to increase gateway interactions. A survey of eligible voters (n = 225) was conducted in the month prior to the 2015 UK general election, examining behavior associated with the Facebook pages of the two largest political parties. Results support that conspicuous affiliation with political parties indeed hinders intention to ‘Like’ political pages and is associated with social anxiety. ‘Secret Likes’ were found to be a successful method to increase gateway interactions. In addition to the theoretical contribution, implications for political party communications and site designers are considered.     

“Lulu”s and “Dame”s: Local Impacts of Major Developments

It is axiomatic that land uses with regional or national significance also have local impacts. Recent writings originating in the United States have singled out one group of land uses which are regionally desirable or even necessary but which evoke strong, clear local opposition. The delightful acronym LULU (Locally Unwanted Land Use: see Seley 1983) describes such uses. They include cemeteries, rubbish tips, sewerage plants and can even include low cost housing. The dilemma facing land use planners with such LULUs is how to resolve the tension between local demands and regional (or national or possibly international) demands. The issues are usually fairly clear; resolution usually involves the dominance of one set of values over the other. Either the LULU is located somewhere more pliant if local objections are too strong, or else regional power dominates and local objections are too strong, or else regional power dominates and local opposition is defeated.
