Low complexity inter coding scheme for Versatile Video Coding (VVC)

The latest coding standard Versatile Video Coding (VVC) developed by the Joint Video Experts Team (JVET) and Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG) was finalized in 2020. By introducing several new coding techniques, VVC improves the compression efficiency by 50% compared with H.265/HEVC. However, the coding complexity increases dramatically, which obstructs it from real-time application. To tackle this issue, a fast inter coding algorithm utilizing coding information is proposed to speed up the coding process. First, by analyzing the coding areas of the neighboring CUs, we predict the coding area of the current CU to terminate unnecessary splitting modes. Then, the temporally optimal coding mode generated during the prediction process is further utilized to shrink the candidate modes to speed up the coding process. Finally, the distribution of neighboring prediction modes are exploited to measure the motion complexity of the current CU, based on which the unnecessary prediction modes can be skipped earlier. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can reduce the coding complexity by 40.08% on average with 0.07 dB BDPSNR decrease and 1.56% BDBR increase, which outperforms the state-of-the-art approach.     

The use of mindmapping software for patent search and management

Modern information technologies and in particular the internet have revolutionized the patent information professionals' work in terms of speed of access and information comprehensiveness from both company internal and external digital sources. Here, I describe how the digital mindmapping technique can be used to complement existing intellectual property management software solutions to meet the challenge of optimizing and managing patent search workflows as well as to rapidly organise and access highly dynamic, heterogeneous and scattered patent information sources. Both eye catching and highly memorable and at the same time self-explanatory mindmapping examples are presented. These were designed to include basic and advanced level digital mindmapping features tailored to significantly speed up and maintain a high work quality level of patent search professionals. A special emphasis is put on the great benefit of organising and accessing the plethora of internet-based worldwide online patent registers through mindmapping, both in terms of managing the constantly changing deep links to the actual search options for e.g., legal status information, and keeping track of the offered level of content.     

三维几何信号经验模式分解及其应用

针对三维几何信号非线性、非平稳的特点,提出基于经验模式分解的三维几何信号处理方法。将信号球面参数化,映射到平面,进行均匀规则采样。对平面信号进行限领域的经验模式分解,得到各个内蕴模式图层。从图层信号得到不规则的原始映射信号,逆映射回三维几何模型信号。将该方法用于几何模型的光顺及增强处理,实验结果表明,该方法能够有效处理三维几何信号。     

基于软件程序员课程开发的研究

软件程序员的培养是高职软件技术专业的主要培养对象。通过分析IT企业对程序员的需求及程序员必备的素质,结合软件程序员应有的核心能力,建立和完善面向高职院校的软件技术专业的人才培养的课程体系,为适应市场需求的程序员的培养进行了研究与实践。     

Evanescent wave sensor based on permanently bent single mode optical fiber

A novel refractive index sensing scheme based on evanescent wave interaction through locally and permanently bent single mode optical fibers is proposed. Local and permanent bends in single mode optical fibers enable significant power coupling between core and cladding modes. Order and number of excited cladding modes depend on bend features and determine the field profile at the output of the bent region. This in turn constitutes a simple mechanism to tailor the field distribution in single mode optical fibers useful for spatial light modulation. Moreover, since guided cladding modes are strongly influenced by the surrounding refractive index (SRI), the power transmitted at the output of the bent region as well as its dependence on the optical wavelength are strongly sensitive to the SRI opening new scenarios in sensing applications.     

H.264帧内预测模式选择快速算法的研究

提出一种适用于H.264帧内预测的快速算法,利用相邻像素间的梯度筛选预测模式来避免不必要的预测模式计算。实验结果表明:用全I帧编码,该算法在图像质量和输出码率基本不变的情况下,编码时间大约节省了60%。     

ATM网络流量控制中的活动VC计算方法

ATM网络ABR业务流量控制是一种基于速率的流量控制机制。在ERICA算法的基础上,提出有效活动虚连接的计算方法,根据它们的活动度计算活动连接的有效数值,从而准确计算出处于活动状态的源端数,将未用带宽在ATM网络ABR连接之间公平且准确地进行分配,体现了Max-Min公平分配准则,能保证算法的高效性和带宽分配的公平性。     

Nonlinear aircraft sensor fault reconstruction in the presence of disturbances validated by real flight data

This paper proposes an approach for Inertial Measurement Unit sensor fault reconstruction by exploiting a ground speed-based kinematic model of the aircraft flying in a rotating earth reference system. Two strategies for the validation of sensor fault reconstruction are presented: closed-loop validation and open-loop validation. Both strategies use the same kinematic model and a newly-developed Adaptive Two-Stage Extended Kalman Filter to estimate the states and faults of the aircraft. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach compared to an approach using an airspeed-based kinematic model. Furthermore, the major contribution is that the proposed approach is validated using real flight test data including the presence of external disturbances such as turbulence. Three flight scenarios are selected to test the performance of the proposed approach. It is shown that the proposed approach is robust to model uncertainties, unmodeled dynamics and disturbances such as time-varying wind and turbulence. Therefore, the proposed approach can be incorporated into aircraft Fault Detection and Isolation systems to enhance the performance of the aircraft.     

利用三角形法高校机房管理策略探讨

计算机教育在高等院校的教育中占据了愈来愈重要的位置,而随着计算机设备的不断更新换代,网络环境的日趋复杂多变,对高校计算机机房的管理提出了更高的要求,突破传统的机房管理模式,拓展新的管理方法成为高校机房管理的一个不可避免的问题。提出了利用三角形法管理高校机房的新观点,以期能提高高校机房的管理效能,使之更好地服务于日常教学和科研的需要。     

Observability of switching structured linear systems with unknown input. A graph-theoretic approach

This paper deals with the observability of the discrete mode, the internal state and the input of switching structured linear systems with unknown input. The proposed method, based on a graph-theoretic approach, assumes only the knowledge of the system’s structure. We express, in graphical terms, necessary and sufficient conditions for the generic observability of the discrete mode, the continuous internal state and the input of a switching structured linear system. These conditions can be implemented by classical graph theory algorithms based on finding particular paths and cycles in a digraph.
