The applicability of a glass/Ag, Ag2S (silver sulfide coated silver) electrode, which is capable of selectively detecting the H2S fraction of total reduced inorganic sulfur (Stot) concentration in biological systems is demonstrated. This electrode was used to monitor photosynthetic sulfide oxidation by Chlorobium phaeobacteroides. The electrode was resistant to Pfennig's medium and bacterial attack and after five months of use showed a potential drift within ±2 mV corresponding to ±13% maximum. The results obtained in a batch type experiment of growth of Chlorobium at different pH values suggest that Chlorobium cells preferentially take up the HS− ion rather than H2S. 相似文献

Weathering and internal dissolution processes in mining waste materials may mobilize elevated levels of arsenic (As), contaminating ground and surface waters. Treating the polluted waters with iron oxyhydroxides is an established remediation method. By contrast, little knowledge is available to stabilize As in source materials by treating it with Fe precipitates and, on this way, to prevent the generation of polluted waters. In the present work the efficiency of Fe(II) treatment on As immobilization in a tailings material (TM) was studied with regard to the Fe:As molar ratio, the influence of CaCO3 amendment, and the As desorption at continued intensive leaching of Fe-treated TM. Fe precipitates were created by aerobic treatment of TM with Fe(II)sulfate at several Fe:As molar ratios with or without adding CaCO3, followed by aging the Fe-treated TM. The As retention in the treated tailings was studied by 4-fold elution with water, and the As desorption kinetics was examined by suspension leaching in laboratory microcosms over 3 weeks. Fe(II) treatment of TM reduced the water-extractable total As to <10 microg/L as the Fe:As molar ratio increased from 0 to 8. The water-soluble As of Fe-treated tailings could be reduced to 10-30 microg/L also under conditions of intensive leaching. Stabilizing the pH with CaCO3 resulted in consistently higher As release. The As desorption data followed the first-order kinetics in the early time stages of the desorption whereas at longer times the parabolic diffusion model was valid. 相似文献

针对管道内壁存在含硫电化学腐蚀的现状,模拟大连市煤气管道内积水环境,采用动电位极化曲线扫描法和电化学阻抗谱,研究了硫离子(S2-)对Q235B钢腐蚀行为的影响。随着S2-质量浓度的增加,Q235B钢腐蚀电位先降低后升高,腐蚀速率先增大后减小。低质量浓度的S2-对Q235B钢的腐蚀表现为点蚀。高质量浓度的S2-对Q235B钢的腐蚀表现为均匀腐蚀,其腐蚀产物膜在短期内对Q235B钢有保护作用,即在一定程度上,高质量浓度的S2-对碳素钢具有缓蚀作用。当S2-的质量浓度为20mg/L时,Q235B钢的腐蚀速率最大。在人工煤气的生产净化中,应尽可能降低煤气中的含硫量。 相似文献

The adoption of the sensory odor test will prevail widely in many local self governments in Japan in order to evaluate and regulate the complex odor in fields. This is also done by the tri‐angle choice bag test. However, this procedure has several problems in the reliability and reproducibility of the results obtained. It is desired to solve these problems by the mechanization of the method. From this point of view, an experimental study on the flow rate of test odor has been carried out and the results obtained are described in this paper. Graft copolymerization of acrylic acid (AA) onto polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) nonwoven initiated by low temperature plasma was studied. The effects of various conditions on graft reaction and the grafting rate were investigated. SEM images showed that PPS nonwoven was grafted, and the graft copolymerization only occurred on the surface of PPS. It may be due to the chain transference going with the graft copolymerization. It was found that with the increasing of plasma power, treatment time, space between electrodes, monomer concentration, and temperature of graft polymerization, the grafting rate increased at first, went to the top, and then decreased. The PPS nonwoven surface graft reaction could be optimized by the following processing conditions: 120 s of plasma treatment time, 50 W of plasma power, 1.5 cm of space between electrodes, 30% (w/w) of monomer concentration, and 50°C of temperature of graft polymerization. Measurement of XPS showed that the peak of C1s of graft polyacrylic acid was existed, and the peak area increased with the increase of the grafting rate. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 研究了聚苯醚硫(PPS)在硝酸、硫酸和盐酸介质中对贵金属钯的吸附行为及振荡吸附时间、酸度、钯浓度对吸附的影响。结果表明:在不同的酸介质中PPS对钯均有一定量的吸附,其饱和吸附容量可达10.78±1.09mg/g树脂,且有很好的吸附选择性,还探索了解吸剂及从混合离子溶液中回收钯的途径。 相似文献
