We revealed the factors that govern the visual aesthetic perception of handwoven fabrics by performing two psychological experiments to determine the effects of cotton hand-spun yarn on the perceptual and cognitive responses to woven fabrics. First, a free sorting task followed by multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis explored the effect of yarn type (hand-spun, machine-spun, and slub-yarn) on the woven fabric. Visual categorization of the fabrics depended on yarn type. Second, functional and aesthetic perceptions that produced the differences among yarn types were investigated by semantic differential scaling method that collected subjects’ ratings for the fabrics from 17 bipolar adjective pairs. Generalized linear mixed-effects modeling revealed the association between the yarn type and perception expressed by functional and aesthetic words. Visual aesthetic perception of fabrics was also affected by the consumers’ background. Our method and findings can be applied to examine the visual aesthetic of other textile products. 相似文献

The purpose of presented research is to find out the influence of air-jet yarn from the mixture of CO/PA (50/50) and CO/PES (67/33) fibres on functionality of woven fabric in the plain weave.The first part of the study is directed to the mechanical and physical properties of air-jet yarns (16.7 tex) from CO/PA and CO/PES fibres, while the second part of the study focuses on permeability properties of fabrics with air-jet yarns in the weft. The results show that air-jet yarn in the weft direction influences on the water vapor transmission and thermal conduction increase and air permeability decrease.Incorporation of air-jet yarn in the weft direction also improves breaking extension level.The results of presented research also show that the incorporation of air-jet yarn in the weft has statistical important influence on thermal conduction, water-vapor and air permeability changes. 相似文献

采用乙炔和甲烷的混合气作为燃料,利用涂覆硝酸镍的铜基板,进行合成碳纳米管的试验研究。对于制备出的碳纳米材料的微观形貌采用扫描电镜(SEM)和透射电镜(TEM)进行了表征,分析了不同燃料对火焰合成的影响,并研究了硝酸镍催化剂的浓度对合成碳纳米管的影响。研究结果表明:利用两种混合气体预混燃烧能够成功合成出质量较好的多壁碳纳米管;采用浓度为0.01mol/L的硝酸镍催化剂无法合成出碳纳米管,只有碳纳米纤维等纳米材料。硝酸镍催化剂浓度为0.1和1.0mol/L时能合成形态和结构都较理想的碳纳米管。 相似文献

A series of cogasification experiments were performed at a 100 kW bubbling fluidized bed (BFB) gasifier to gasify the blended pellets made from two types of coals and woody biomass, with biomass‐to‐fuel mass ratios of 0–30%. In the cogasification, a mixture of air and steam was fed from the BFB gasifier bottom as gasification agent and the blended biomass‐coal pellets were fed into the bed layer. Impacts of biomass mass fraction in the binary pellets and gasification operation temperature on producer gas composition were experimentally investigated. The experimental results have been used to validate a mathematical model developed in this study. From both experimental observation and model prediction, it was found that adding biomass into coal has overall negative impact on producer gas quality in terms of combustible substance contents, and the extents of the blending effect were different among fuel types which have different properties. © 2015 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 61: 1639–1647, 2015 相似文献
