A dual‐functional substrate‐integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity which integrates a filter and two antennas is proposed in this article. Three slots are etched to divide a single cavity into four quarter‐mode subcavities. Two equal subcavities are utilized to design a second‐order filter. Mixed coupling is induced by this slot‐etched structure, where a controllable transmission zero can be generated in the lower or upper stopband. Two unequal subcavities are utilized to design two integrated antennas. By adjusting their areas, the frequency ratio of these two antennas achieves a wide range of 0.55‐1.81. In addition, the overall port isolation of higher than 21.0 dB is obtained by optimizing slot length. The proposed design has been validated by experimental results of a fabricated prototype. With advantages of low profile, light weight, suitable isolation, and flexible design, it has potential applications for modern wireless communication.  相似文献

A broadband horizontally polarized omnidirectional antenna array is proposed, which consists of a circular array of four identical broadband T‐bar fed cavity‐backed slot antenna elements and a 1‐to‐4 power divider. The proposed omnidirectional antenna array has a compact diameter of only 0.44λ0, a broad bandwidth of 75.9% (450‐1000 MHz) and a favorable omnidirectional radiation pattern in the azimuth plane with a gain variation below 3 dB in the operating band. Moreover, the cavity‐backed structure makes the proposed antenna array hardly affected by metal environment and the all metal construction allows for high‐power applications, and the reserved cable channel behind the cavities of the antenna elements ensures the extensionality and stability of the proposed array when longitudinal array expansion is needed. Design procedures of the proposed antenna array have been described in detail, simulations and measurements of the proposed antenna array have also been carried out to validate its performance in this article.  相似文献

This short communication presents a substrate integrated waveguide planar cavity slotted antenna array. The proposed antenna array, excited in its TE33 higher mode, incorporates a grounded coplanar‐waveguide (CPW) CPW‐feeding excitation mechanism. The electromagnetic energy is coupled to the air through 3 × 3 slot array etched on top metallic layer. The proposed antenna operates in the X‐band for the frequency range around the 10 to 11 GHz with resonances at 10.4 and 10.8 GHz frequencies. The proposed antenna array was fabricated and tested. Experimental results show good impedance matching with enhanced radiation characteristics, in terms of peak gain, cross‐polarization level, and low back‐radiation. The proposed antenna has the advantages of low‐footprints, lightweight, high gain, low‐cost, and ease of integration with other electronic circuits. With these characteristics, the proposed antenna array can find its applications in compact wireless digital transceivers.  相似文献

垂直腔面发射激光器是先进光学信息系统的关键 器件之一,具有低成本、低发散角、窄线宽等优点。 为满足垂直腔面发射激光器在微型原子钟、军事通信等领域的应用,优化激光器的结构参数 来改善腔模位置以及在 顶层集成光栅改善出光信号的光场分布就变得尤为重要。基于增益腔模失谐技术以及光栅优 异的光束会聚、偏振分 束功能,提出一种基于非周期性亚波长光栅的894 nm垂直腔面发射激 光器。利用光栅的偏振分束功能,可使器件输 出端口的消光大于30 dB。通过改善腔模位置以及氧化孔径,器 件在20 ℃范围内基本工作性能保持稳定 , 在85 ℃环境下工作波长满足微型原子钟的要求,输出光功率为2mW ,为下一代微型原子钟、军事通信等的发展提供了良好的理论基础。  相似文献

The article presents a microstrip patch (MSA) fed high gain circularly polarized metasurface cavity (CP‐MSC) antenna using a planar progressively‐phased‐reflector and a transmissive linear to circular polarization conversion metascreen. The bottom metasurface reflector consists of a remodeled Jerusalem cross to obtain 2π reflection phase variation. Linear to circular polarization conversion is achieved by a hexagonal ring based meta‐element with high transmission and bellow 3 dB axial ratio from 9.5 to 10.5 GHz. Simulated and measured results of assembled CP‐MSC antenna with MSA are in good agreement. The gain of the proposed cavity antenna with 10 and 10.5 GHz MSA are 14.9 and 16.3 dBi, respectively. Below 3 dB AR throughout the operating band denotes significant circular polarization performance of the proposed antenna.  相似文献

A beam scanning Fabry‐Pérot cavity antenna (FPCA) for 28 GHz‐band is presented in this article. The proposed antenna consists of a slot‐fed patch antenna and several layers of perforated superstrates with different dielectric constant. The beam of the antenna can be controlled by moving the superstrate over the antenna. By increasing the offset between the feeding antenna and the superstrate, a larger tilt angle can be obtained. The size of the antenna is 0.95λ0 × 0.95λ0 × 0.48λ0 at 28.5 GHz. The results show the proposed antenna achieves an impedance bandwidth (S11 < ‐10 dB) of 10.5% (27.2‐30.2 GHz), and the beam can be scanned from 0° to 14° in the yoz‐plane with the offset changed from 0 mm to 2 mm. The gain of the antenna is enhanced by 5 dBi in comparison with the feeding antenna without the superstrate, which ranges from 10.91 to 11.53 dBi with the different offset. The proposed antenna is fabricated and shows a good agreement with simulated result.  相似文献

This article presents a novel band‐pass filter topology, based on the half‐mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW), which allows for the simple design and easy manufacturing of filters with different bandwidth and number of poles. The design strategy, based on the modification of HMSIW cavity modes, is discussed in the case of two‐pole and four‐pole filters, and two prototypes are implemented and experimentally verified. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A low profile dual band resonant cavity antenna that incorporates double sided partially reflective surface (PRS) with complementary layers is presented here. The PRS is formed by printing periodic array of complementary metallic square loops on the opposite sides of the dielectric material. The PRS has been used as a superstrate, placed above the radiating microstrip patch. This PRS acts as a dual band matching section between the microstrip patch and free space, hence resulting in dual resonance. The proposed structure has been analyzed using equivalent circuit model. Parametric analysis of the sensitive structural parameters has also been discussed. To validate the design, the simulation analysis and experimental results obtained from a prototype operating at 8.9 and 9.4 GHz are presented. The measured gain at the two frequencies is 10.2 and 8.5 dBi, respectively. The overall size of the antenna is 1.78λ × 1.78λ × 0.09 λ with λ corresponding to 8.9 GHz.  相似文献

The resonant cavity antenna (RCA) is a class of widely used high gain antennas, but usually suffers from narrow impedance bandwidth owing to its strong resonant property, as well as relatively low aperture efficiency because of its non‐uniform electromagnetic (EM) field distribution on the aperture. This article explores enhancing the RCA's impedance bandwidth and aperture efficiency by designing a non‐uniform metamaterial inspired superstrate, on which the metal patches vary their sizes with respect to their distances to the superstrate's center. After optimized by the Genetic Algorithm, the proposed RCA is designed, fabricated and tested. Measured results agree well with simulated ones and show that in comparison with a RCA with a uniform metamaterial inspired superstrate, this work significantly improves the |S 11| < ?10 dB impedance bandwidth from 2.1% to 6.1%, the gain at the working frequency 10 GHz from 19.07 dBi to 20.55 dBi, and correspondingly the aperture efficiency from 50.5% to 71%. A further analysis estimates that due to the non‐uniform metamaterial inspired superstrate, a more homogeneous distribution for both the amplitude and phase of the EM field is observed on the superstrate's aperture.  相似文献
