Zeolites with the right shape and acid site density and strength, such as certain ZSM‐5 forms, were able to cleanly decompose formic acid to carbon monoxide (CO), and the latter could be directly used in palladium‐catalyzed carbonylation reactions. A simple two‐reactor system was designed to produce CO conveniently and then further react this gas in a safe way. The two‐reactor system is particularly cheap, easy to set up and use. In addition, the carbonylation conditions without pressure allowed for very efficient CO incorporation, with only 1% of palladium(II) chloride (PdCl2) and Xantphos.
Gas-phase oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) was investigated with empty tubular-flow reactors made of various materials (quartz, ceramic and stainless steel tubes). When the temperature is higher than 680°C, the CH4 conversions in three kinds of empty reactors are measurable, and the gas-phase OCM becomes noticeable at 750°C or higher. High temperature is beneficial to the activation of CH4 and the dehydrogenation of C2H6 to C2H4. Residence time of reactants in the heated volume plays an important role in the gas-phase OCM. Experiments indicated that the gas-phase OCM can be minimized by increasing reactant gas velocity or filling the free volume of the reactor with inert materials. Reactor surface also has an effect on the reaction and may participate in some surface reactions. Based on the kinetic results and the SEM investigation on the surfaces of reactors, a gas-phase reaction mechanism of OCM is proposed. 相似文献
The characteristics of La2O3 catalysts with three different supports (BaCO3, MgO, and ZnO), two different alkaline metal promoters (Na2O and Na2CO3), and a china clay have been investigated. The relationship of the surface basicity of the support to the activity and selectivity of the catalyst were studied by TPD. The results showed that the surface basicity of these three supports decreased in the following order: BaCO3 > MgO > ZnO. The choice of Na2O as a promoter in La2O3/(BaCO3 or MgO) had a better effect than the choice of Na2CO3. The Na2O promoter could increase not only the catalytic activity and the C2 selectivity, but also lower the optimal reaction temperature. Addition of 15% clay into the La2O3–alkaline metal catalysts could increase the strength of the catalyst and lower the optimum reaction temperature. 相似文献
Volatile flavour compounds produced by Royal Gala apple have been identified by GC-MS. Major components were 2-methylbutyl acetate, butyl acetate, hexyl acetate, butanol, 2-methylbutanol and hexanol. Odour-port evaluation of the components separated by GC indicated that the first four compounds were important contributors to the aroma and flavour. Use of analytical sensory panels revealed that 2-methylbutyl acetate, butanol and hexyl acetate had the greatest causal effect on those aroma and flavour attributes considered important for Royal Gala apples. 相似文献
A geometrical optics approach is used to analyse the reflection of a divergent beam falling onto a concave or convex surface. The polarisation state of a ray in the incident beam depends on the position where the ray impinges upon the surface. The distribution of transmittance over the surface for different polarisation states is determined. An integration of the transmittance distribution determines the total reflection loss of a coupling lens used in a laser diode to single-mode fibre coupling system. 相似文献
