老挝南梦3水电站枢纽布置设计与设计创新

介绍南梦3水电站工程枢纽布置及主要建筑物设计,特别介绍了该工程的压力钢管道设计。老挝南梦3水电站2005年1月18日第2台机组正式并网发电,工程竣工并移交老挝国家电力公司。电站枢纽布置合理,运行管理方便。电站各建筑物及机电设备,经过正常蓄水位的检验,机组满负荷运行检验,电站达到设计出力,机电设备运行安全可靠,建筑物稳定安全。压力钢管道为槽挖浅埋管（回填管）设计,降低成本,加快施工进度,在同类工程中处于较先进的水平。压力钢管道安装完毕后,恢复了原地貌和植被,保护了电站所属老挝国家森林公园的生态环境,深受老挝业主好评,也赢得较好的国际声誉。灌溉尾水得到老挝政府的赞誉。工程输变电线路打通了与泰国电网的连接,取得了显著的经济效益。     

丝绸之路古代纹样若干问题研究

从宏观角度讨论了丝绸之路中有关图案起源、相互交流和共同发展的若干问题,并以典型纹样来说明.其中,很多图案不仅与特定动植物有关,甚至与建筑结构有关,且不同结构和样式之间的图案,看似无关,实质也有复杂的关系.因此,反对把不同图案加以割裂和区分开来后再行研究的方法,主张综合加以考察.

Neutrino Induced Doppler Broadening

When a nucleus undergoes beta decay via the electron capture reaction, it emits an electron neutrino. The neutrino emission gives a small recoil to the atom, which can be experimentally observed as a Doppler broadening on subsequently emitted gamma rays. Using the two-axis flat-crystal spectrometer GAMS4 and the electron capture reaction in ¹⁵²Eu, the motion of atoms having an excess kinetic energy of 3 eV in the solid state was studied. It is shown how the motion of the atom during the first hundreds of femtoseconds can be reconstructed. The relevance of this knowledge for a new neutrino helicity experiment is discussed.

Global Perspectives on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome: Assessing Practices, Policies, and Campaigns in Four English-Speaking Countries.

Maternal alcohol consumption during pregnancy places the fetus at risk for a number of neurological abnormalities and functional impairments. These deficits are 100% preventable by abstaining from alcohol use during pregnancy. Nevertheless, the worldwide prevalence of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), the most severe outcome of prenatal alcohol consumption, is estimated at 0.97 cases per 1,000 live births (see May & Gossage, 2001). This paper examines awareness of the problem in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia along three dimensions: 1) the relationship between alcohol consumption rates and the incidence of FAS; 2) government action and policy creation; and 3) prevention/intervention initiatives and educational efforts. The extent of knowledge within each country affects, and is affected by, the level of research activity, the emphasis on policy creation, and the initiatives that drive educational efforts. At present, Canada and the U.S. have the highest levels of activity and a clear recognition of the problem. Activity in the U.K. and Australia is at the grass-roots level, although some promising movements toward greater public and professional awareness have begun. Value creation and decision-making in sustainable society

Manufacturing exists to create value. However, historically, discussion of economic issues in manufacturing primarily emphasizes cost. It is becoming more difficult to understand and control values of products and services in response to rapid globalization and networking. This paper presents a discussion of the nature of value considering a history of axiology, design problems of artifacts, social dilemmas, network externalities, and sustainability. Promising academic methodologies are presented herein with emphasis on transdisciplinary and synthetic approaches. Value creation models based on Emergent Synthesis and co-creative decision-making are presented. This paper involves some important study examples of service and production toward sustainable value creation in society.     

Regional industrial evolution in China

Evolutionary economic geography (EEG) indicates that regional industrial development is path dependent. The empirical studies in EEG however have not paid sufficient attention to the importance of global linkages nor the role of regional institutions in driving industrial dynamics. Based on firm level data of four‐digit manufacturing industries during 1998 to 2008 in China, we find that Chinese regions branch into new industries technologically related to the existing industrial portfolio and related industries are less likely to exit. Further analysis reveals that global linkages, economic liberalization and state involvement not only create favourable conditions to allow a larger role of technological relatedness but also generate opportunities for Chinese regions to create new paths of industrial development.
