Turbulence characteristics of the wind farm inflow have a significant impact on the energy production and the lifetime of a wind farm. The common approach is to use the meteorological mast measurements to estimate the turbulence intensity (TI) but they are not always available and the turbulence varies over the extent of the wind farm. This paper describes a method to estimate the TI at individual turbine locations by using the rotor effective wind speed calculated via high frequency turbine data.The method is applied to Lillgrund and Horns Rev-I offshore wind farms and the results are compared with TI derived from the meteorological mast, nacelle mounted anemometer on the turbines and estimation based on the standard deviation of power. The results show that the proposed TI estimation method is in the best agreement with the meteorological mast. Therefore, the rotor effective wind speed is shown to be applicable for the TI assessment in real-time wind farm calculations under different operational conditions. Furthermore, the TI in the wake is seen to follow the same trend with the estimated wake deficit which enables to quantify the turbulence in terms of the wake loss locally inside the wind farm.  相似文献

A multitrait, multiple across-country evaluation (MT-MACE) model permitting a variable number of correlated traits per country allows international genetic evaluation models to more closely match national models. Before the MT-MACE evaluation can be applied, genetic (co)variance components within and across country must be estimated. An approximate REML algorithm for parameter estimation was developed and was validated via simulation. This method is based on the expectation maximization REML (EM-REML) algorithm. Because obtaining the inverse of co-efficient matrix is not usually feasible for large amounts of data, an algorithm using the multiple-trait effective daughter contribution (EDC) is proposed to provide approximate diagonal elements of the inverse matrix. The accuracy of the approximate EM-REML was tested with simulated data and compared with an average information REML (AI-REML) from available software. Two simulation studies were performed. First, data of 2 countries were simulated using a single-trait model. Estimates of across-country genetic correlations with the developed algorithm were unbiased and very precise. The precision, however, depended on the percentage of bulls with data in both countries. The results obtained with the approximate EM-REML software were very close to those obtained with the AI-REML software regarding estimated genetic correlations and bulls’ estimated breeding values. The second simulation assumed a multiple trait model and the same number of traits, pedigree structure, EDC, and pattern of missing records as for actual observations for milk yield obtained from French and German national Holstein evaluations. As with the single-trait scenarios, the approximate EM-REML gave nearly unbiased and very precise estimates of within- and across-country genetic correlations. The results obtained in both simulation studies confirmed the suitability of the MT-MACE model and approximate EM-REML software in a wide range of situations. Even when the genetic trend was incorrectly estimated by the national evaluations, a joint analysis including a time effect in the MT-MACE model adequately corrected for this bias.  相似文献

A simple mathematical model for calculating the effective thermal conductivity of nanofluids has been developed based on the thermal resistance approach. The model is developed by considering both effects of a solid‐like nanolayer and convective heat transfer caused by Brownian motion which have not been considered simultaneously by most available models in the literature. In addition the correlation of Prasher and Phelan for the convective heat transfer coefficient is modified to take into account the effect of the solid‐like nanolayer. In addition a general value for n (different from the one presented by Tillman and Hill) is introduced to modify the thickness of the solid‐like nanolayer. The latter is done by considering both conduction and convection heat transfer mechanisms. Comparisons with previously published experimental results and other mathematical models show that the presented model could well predict a nanofluids effective thermal conductivity as a function of the nanoparticles mean diameter, volume fraction, and temperature for different kinds of nanofluids. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper focuses on the problem of extreme wind gust and direction change recognition (EG&DR) and control (EEC). An extreme wind gust with direction change can lead to large loads on the turbine (causing fatigue) and unnecessary turbine shutdowns by the supervisory system caused by rotor overspeed. The proposed EG&DR algorithm is based on a non‐linear observer (extended Kalman filter) that estimates the oblique wind inflow angle and the blade effective wind speed signals, which are then used by a detection algorithm (cumulative sum test) to recognize extreme events. The non‐linear observer requires that blade root bending moments measurements (in‐plane and out‐of‐plane) are available. Once an extreme event is detected, an EEC algorithm is activated that: (i) tries to prevent the rotor speed from exceeding the overspeed limit by fast collective blade pitching; and (ii) reduces 1p blade loads by means of individual pitch control algorithm, designed in an ? optimal control setting. Reggiana and Modenese are autochthonous cattle breeds, reared in the North of Italy, that can be mainly distinguished for their standard coat color (Reggiana is red, whereas Modenese is white with some pale gray shades). Almost all milk produced by these breeds is transformed into 2 mono-breed branded Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses, from which farmers receive the economic incomes needed for the sustainable conservation of these animal genetic resources. After the setting up of their herd books in 1960s, these breeds experienced a strong reduction in the population size that was subsequently reverted starting in the 1990s (Reggiana) or more recently (Modenese) reaching at present a total of about 2,800 and 500 registered cows, respectively. Due to the small population size of these breeds, inbreeding is a very important cause of concern for their conservation programs. Inbreeding is traditionally estimated using pedigree data, which are summarized in an inbreeding coefficient calculated at the individual level (FPED). However, incompleteness of pedigree information and registration errors can affect the effectiveness of conservation strategies. High-throughput SNP genotyping platforms allow investigation of inbreeding using genome information that can overcome the limits of pedigree data. Several approaches have been proposed to estimate genomic inbreeding, with the use of runs of homozygosity (ROH) considered to be the more appropriate. In this study, several pedigree and genomic inbreeding parameters, calculated using the whole herd book populations or considering genotyping information (GeneSeek GGP Bovine 150K) from 1,684 Reggiana cattle and 323 Modenese cattle, were compared. Average inbreeding values per year were used to calculate effective population size. Reggiana breed had generally lower genomic inbreeding values than Modenese breed. The low correlation between pedigree-based and genomic-based parameters (ranging from 0.187 to 0.195 and 0.319 to 0.323 in the Reggiana and Modenese breeds, respectively) reflected the common problems of local populations in which pedigree records are not complete. The high proportion of short ROH over the total number of ROH indicates no major recent inbreeding events in both breeds. ROH islands spread over the genome of the 2 breeds (15 in Reggiana and 14 in Modenese) identified several signatures of selection. Some of these included genes affecting milk production traits, stature, body conformation traits (with a main ROH island in both breeds on BTA6 containing the ABCG2, NCAPG, and LCORL genes) and coat color (on BTA13 in Modenese containing the ASIP gene). In conclusion, this work provides an extensive comparative analysis of pedigree and genomic inbreeding parameters and relevant genomic information that will be useful in the conservation strategies of these 2 iconic local cattle breeds.  相似文献

Approximate multistep methods to calculate reliabilities for estimated breeding values in large genetic evaluations were developed for single-trait (ST-R2A) and multitrait (MT-R2A) single-step genomic BLUP (ssGBLUP) models. First, a traditional animal model was used to estimate the amount of nongenomic information for the genotyped animals. Second, this information was used with genomic data in a genomic BLUP model (genomic BLUP/SNP-BLUP) to approximate the total amount of information and ssGBLUP reliabilities for the genotyped animals. Finally, reliabilities for the nongenotyped animals were calculated using a traditional animal model where the increased information due to genomic data for the genotyped animals is accounted for by including pseudo-record counts for the genotyped animals. The approaches were tested using a multiple-trait ssGBLUP model on 2 data sets. The first data set (data 1) was small enough such that exact ssGBLUP model reliabilities could be computed by inversion and compared with the approximation method reliabilities. Data 1 had 46,535 first-, 35,290 second-, and 23,780 third-lactation 305-d milk yield records from 47,124 Finnish Red dairy cows. The pedigree comprised 64,808 animals, of which 19,757 were genotyped. We examined the efficiency of the MT-R2A approximation on a large data set (data 2) derived from the joint Nordic (Danish, Finnish, and Swedish) Holstein dairy cattle data. Data 2 had 17.8 million 305-d milk records from 8.3 million cows and first 3 lactations. The pedigree had 11 million animals of which 274,145 were genotyped on 46,342 SNP markers. For data 1, correlations between the exact ssGBLUP model and the ST-R2A for the genotyped (nongenotyped) animals were 0.995 (0.987), 0.965 (0.984), and 0.950 (0.983) for first, second, and third lactation, respectively. Correspondingly, correlations between exact ssGBLUP reliabilities and MT-R2A for the genotyped (nongenotyped) animals were 0.995 (0.993), 0.992 (0.991), and 0.990 (0.990) for first, second, and third lactation, respectively. The regression coefficients (b1) of ssGBLUP reliability on ST-R2A for the genotyped (nongenotyped) animals ranged from 0.87 (0.94) for first lactation to 0.68 (0.93) for third lactation, whereas for MT-R2A they were between 0.91 (0.99) for first lactation to 0.89 (0.99) for third lactation. Correspondingly, the intercepts varied from 0.11 (0.05) to 0.3 (0.06) for ST-R2A and from 0.06 (0.01) to 0.07 (0.02) for MT-R2A. The computing time for the approximation method was approximately 12% of that required by the direct exact approach. In conclusion, the developed approximate approach allows calculating estimated breeding value reliabilities in the ssGBLUP model even for large data sets.  相似文献

对松茸不同溶剂提取物及其抗氧化活性进行了研究。依次用石油醚、三氯甲烷、乙醇及水提取,乙醇提取部分依次用乙酸乙酯和正丁醇萃取。采用DPPH自由基法、邻苯三酚自氧化法,以BHT、Vc为参照,分别研究松茸不同溶剂提取物的抗氧化活性,并对不同溶剂提取物中的总多糖、总黄酮及总多酚含量进行测定。结果表明:松茸不同溶剂提取物均具有一定的抗氧化活性,其中乙酸乙酯、水提取物的抗氧化活性较强,不同溶剂提取物的抗氧化活性与其总多糖、总黄酮和总多酚的含量具有一定的相关性。  相似文献
