A large part of pharmaceutical manufacturing involves the use of particulate materials. It is well known that both particle size and shape affect the physical characteristics of tablets. An image processing and analysis algorithm based on the invariant image moment technique was developed in this work to determine the particle shape by comparing features (moments) extracted from templates to those extracted from each of the objects in the image. First it determines the particle shape (rectangle, circle, etc.) and then calculates its specific dimensions (diameter, aspect ratio).The statistical validation of the vision system obtained a repeatability of 0.0012 in and 0.5% relative standard deviation and accuracy within 0.1 to 0.9% of the average value considered as true value. Also the pattern recognition technique indicated high precision and accuracy for images containing particles with some level of contact between them. The shape recognition of microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) indicated that particles of equant and acicular shape as defined by USP are predominant. The results suggest that image processing and analysis would be a suitable tool for pharmaceutical process analytical technologies (PAT) and process optimization. 相似文献

The absorption, fluorescence excitation and emission spectroscopy, and time‐dependent spectrofluorimetry have been used to study the photophysics of copolymers of N‐vinylcarbazole with different monomers like vinyl acetate, methyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, butyl acrylate, and butyl methacrylate in dichloromethane. In all the copolymers and at different N‐vinylcarbazole content, the absorption spectra reflect only the monomer carbazole units. The two kinds of excited monomer species of N‐vinylcarbazole are present in S1 state. Short‐lived (~3 ns) excited monomer decays forming low energy excimer obtained by the complete overlap of the excited carbazole monomer. The long‐lived excited monomer (~8 ns) decays to ground state without formation of any excimer. The high energy excimer is relatively short‐lived and is formed by the partial overlap of the carbazole units. Composite materials composed of randomly dispersed semiconducting ceramic particles in an insulating polymer matrix show a pronounced change in resistivity with pressure. Different amounts of iron oxide (Fe3 O4 ) powder and antimony-doped tin oxide (SnO2 :Sb) powder were dispersed in an epoxy polymer matrix to form pressure-sensitive composites. In each family of materials, an insulator-to-semiconductor transition is observed in agreement with percolation theory. Composites within a certain range of filler content showed substantial piezoresistive effect under both uniaxial and hydrostatic pressure in which sensitivity is controlled by the choice of filler material and the volume fraction. The effect of temperature on the piezoresistance effect was also examined. Piezoresistors made from Fe3 O4 composites showed larger temperature changes than those filled with Sb-doped SnO2 . 相似文献

The graft polymerization of methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate onto poly(vinyl chloride‐co‐vinyl acetate) with atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) was successfully carried out with copper(I) thiocyanate/N,N,N′,N′,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine and copper(I) chloride/2,2′‐bipyridine as catalysts in the solvent N,N‐dimethylformamide. For methyl methacrylate, a kinetic plot of ln([M]0/[M]) (where [M]0 is the initial monomer concentration and [M] is the monomer concentration) versus time for the graft polymerization was almost linear, and the molecular weight of the graft copolymer increased with increasing conversion, this being typical for ATRP. The formation of the graft polymer was confirmed with gel permeation chromatography, 1H‐NMR, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The glass‐transition temperature of the copolymer increased with the concentration of methyl methacrylate. 基于内容的照片或自然图像分析和检索已经得到广泛的研究,但多数都基于颜色特征,不能直接用于水墨画艺术作品的分析。对图像进行预处理,提出基于灰度直方图描述水墨画笔道力度分布信息及构图风格,并利用神经网络学习水墨画整体技法风格特征,依据此特征进行不同艺术家间的分类。实验结果表明,通过对整体风格特征的提取,直方图模型能够有效表征画家不同的艺术风格,实现了水墨画的自动分类。 相似文献

Carboxylic acid groups were introduced onto polyethylene (PE) film by radiation‐induced graft copolymerization. Subsequently, the clodextrin glucanotransferase (CGTase) was immobilized on the PE film with a carboxylic acid group. The activity of the immobilized CGTase on PE film was in the range of 0.40–1.04 U/cm2 per min. The production of cyclodextrins (CDs) from corn starch was examined using the CGTase‐immobilized PE film.
