通过自然过滤法在不同条件下测定了淀粉接枝丙烯酸高吸水性树脂的吸水率，实验给出了该方法测定吸水率的最佳条件，即：滤袋网孔尺寸为0.180～0．280mm，树脂质量约0．3g，加水量约500mL，吸水时间≥2h，沥水时间≥50min。

Appraisal as a Pervasive Determinant of Anger.

L. Berkowitz and E. Harmon-Jones (see record 2004-15096-001) challenge appraisal theories of emotion by describing 2 sets of conditions (physical discomfort and anger-related muscle actions) in which anger appears to be elicited in the absence of theoretically predicted appraisals. In response, the authors discuss the ability of the specific appraisal model they have developed (e.g., C. A. Smith & L. D. Kirby, 2000, 2001; C. A. Smith & R. S. Lazarus, 1990) to account for such instances of anger. First, a number of issues are clarified relevant to the authors' model, including the nature of both the cognitive operations underlying appraisal and the specific appraisals hypothesized to evoke anger. The authors then describe how their model can account for the instances of anger described by L. Berkowitz and E. Harmon-Jones and how both accounts might be tested. 地震复合波地质属性的研究方法

在地震资料解释中,地震复合波的地质属性问题一直没有得到很好地解决。本文针对松辽盆地砂泥岩薄互层的地质特点,提出了用波形合成追踪法研究地震复合波地质属性的方法。该方法在地震复合波正演合成过程中有五个可以识别的特征界面,其中 C 界面是地震复合波形成的主导界面;C 至 D 界面间的地层为形成地震复合波的主要地层。因此,找准 C 界面深度是建立地震复合波与钻孔地层间有机联系的关键,对地震地质层位准确标定和利用地震剖面复合波波形信息进行岩性预测极为重要。文中的应用实例表明,用该方法在松辽盆地较好地建立了地震信息与地质信息间的对应关系,解决了一些疑难地质问题,取得了较好的勘探效果。     

Energy and comfort: A new type for TRNSYS

Two subroutines have been developed which permit users of the TRNSYS programme to calculate the parameters of ambiental comfort (PMV and PPD).The first subroutine deals with the calculation of the view factors inside a room for all the values of the spatial coordinates and, thus, permits the average radiant temperature to be calculated in every position. The second subroutine has been developed in accordance with the indications of the ISO 7730 standard.Both subroutines have been validated and then interfaced to TRNSYS.The integrated programme has been utilised to compare the performances of different heating systems in terms of energy consumption and comfort, maintaining the temperature of the interior constant for different climatic conditions.     

Off-Optimum Cure of Aerospace Epoxy Adhesives

Four epoxy film adhesives used in aircraft manufacture and repair have been examined to establish the effect of deviation from the cure cycle specified by the manufacturer. In addition to the variation of the cure cycle, two surface preparations of the aluminium adherends (chromic acid etch or grit blast followed by silane treatment) were evaluated. Thermal analysis was used to examine the cure envelope of the adhesive, and its extent of cure and glass transition temperature. The adhesive properties were assessed by shear strength (in both single lap joints and in Iosipescu configuration), durability (Boeing wedge test) and chemical resistance to selected aggressive fluids. The sensitivity of the performance of a particular adhesive to offoptimum cure conditions depends on its composition and needs to be determined, not predicted.     

The effect of welded boundaries on the response of rectangular hot-rolled mild steel plates subjected to localised blast loading

A series of experiments examining the effects of welded boundaries on the localised blast load response of mild steel plates is presented in this short communication. Two types of welding are examined, TIG and MIG welding. The welded boundary response is compared with clamped boundary and straight and chamfer machined boundary responses. The overall trend of midpoint deflection–thickness ratio versus dimensionless damage number for all the plates follows previously reported empirical trends. The tearing threshold (Mode II*) in terms of the damage number is lowest for the machined plates followed by the welded plates with the clamped plates having the highest resistance to tearing.

Change in Availability of Mineral and Raw Material Resources as a Result of Scientific and Technical Progress

The tendencies characterizing worsening of natural, mining and technical, as well as mining and geological conditions of deposit mining are analyzed for the last 100 years. The change in prices for mineral raw material is shown, and the influence exerted by scientific and technical progress in the sphere of mining and processing of copper-containing ores is established. An approach to the estimate of available mineral reserves and possibility of their involvement in mining is stated.
