以姚河坝水电站引水隧洞50°倾角、长度为194.734m的斜井开挖为实例,从施工测量、开挖方法、通风防尘、临时支护斜井及安全施工等方面探讨长洞身、大倾角斜井在无爬罐条件下的人工开挖方法.     

Precision equipment for symmetrical bending— Part 1. The loading system

The design and performance of precision bending equipment for testing straight beams with constant rectangular section under a pure bending moment is described. Part 1 deals with the loading arrangements and Part 2 with the rig for measuring beam deflection. The methods for recording deflection of strain gauges applied on the beam have been described elsewhere.^1–4
The reactions to the deadweight gravity loads are taken via ball bearings. The total bending moment inaccuracy, i.e. the sum of estimated systematic errors and random errors, the latter expressed as the 2Ga confidence interval about the mean (2G_cim), is about ± 25 x. 10^-4%, for 23 tests with a steel beam with 15 mm × 75 mm cross sectional dimensions, loaded to 1-1.5 mm/m strain.
The measuring rig stands on the beam via hardened and polished spherical segment feet and uses a capacitive transducer system with less than 5nm resolution. Various application tasks are described. The total inaccuracy of the measured deflection, i.e. apart from bending moment inaccuracy, is about ± 35 times 10^4% for about 10 reproduced, not repeated, tests with the same steel beam. The deflection for such a beam is of the order of 2 to 4 mm.

A new iterative order reduction (IOR) method for eigensolutions of large structures

Order reduction is a computationally efficient method to estimate some lowest eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenvectors of large structural systems by reducing the order of the original model to a smaller one. But its accuracy is limited to a small range of frequencies that depends on the selection of the retained degrees of freedom. This paper proposes a new iterative order reduction (IOR) technique to obtain accurately the eigensolutions of large structural systems. The technique retains all the inertia terms associated with the removed degrees of freedom. This hence leads to the reduced mass matrix being in an iterated form and the reduced stiffness matrix constant. From these mass and stiffness matrices, the eigensolutions of the reduced system can be obtained iteratively. On convergence the reduced system reproduces the eigensolutions of the original structure. A proof of the convergence property is also presented. Applications of the method to a practical GARTEUR structure as well as a plate have demonstrated that the proposed method is comparable to the commonly used Subspace Iteration method in terms of numerical accuracy. Moreover, it has been found that the proposed method is computationally more efficient than the Subspace Iteration method. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Aspects of rapid crack propagation in silicon

Fracture experiments with silicon specimens in recent years have shown the need for a new approach to the analysis of rapidly propagating cracks in single crystals. Behaviour and phenomena have been revealed that fracture in these materials is rather different from the fracture of both amorphous and polycrystalline materials. We show that continuum mechanics is insufficient for analyzing crack propagation in single crystals since it is unable to consider atomistic‐scale phenomena. Accordingly, we describe basic phenomena associated with rapid crack propagation in silicon : (i) anisotropic velocity‐dependent R‐curve behaviour, as a key phenomenon dictating atomistic scale behaviour, (ii) crack deflection from one cleavage plane to another as a mesoscopic scale phenomenon in single‐crystal fracture, (iii) the Rayleigh surface wave speed as the limiting crack tip velocity is re‐examined, (vi) the lowest crack velocity in brittle crystals is examined, and finally (v) the interaction between crack path and preferred cleavage planes in single crystals is depicted.

大型储罐基础非平面倾斜问题的探讨

大型储罐因基础产生非平面倾斜而影响其正常使用的情况在工程中时有发生,文章通过对某油罐工程中基础沉降观测结果的分析,探讨了储罐基础产生非平面倾斜的原因。相邻储罐之间的相互影响、充水预压未达到规范要求以及地基处理措施不当是引起储罐基础非平面倾斜的主要因素。针对相邻储罐间的相互影响,根据现行《石油化工企业设计防火规范》和《石油化工企业钢储罐地基与基础设计规范》的规定,提出以下建议:储罐布置的净距除应满足防火规范规定外,有条件时也应适当考虑对基础沉降的影响,当采用复合地基时,相邻储罐间的净距不宜小于0.6 D;当占地面积成为主要矛盾,储罐间的净距只能限制在防火规范规定的最小范围时,在地基处理时就应采取有效措施,以尽可能减少相邻储罐的相互影响。     

高扭曲向列液晶显示器件的特性研究

本文研究了高扭曲向列液晶显示器件（ＨＴＮＬＣＤ）（扭曲角９０～１８０°），此器件与扭曲向列液晶显示器件（ＴＮＬＣＤ）相比较，能够增加液晶显示器件扫描行数并改善视角特性，其制造技术与ＴＮ器件相似，具有很大的应用价值。
