With the continued proliferation of mobile devices, the collection of information associated with such devices and their users—such as location, installed applications and cookies associated with built‐in browsers—has become increasingly straightforward. By analysing such information, organisations are often able to deliver more relevant and better focused advertisements. Of course, such targeted mobile advertising gives rise to a number of concerns, with privacy‐related concerns being prominent. In this paper, we discuss the necessary balance that needs to be struck between privacy and utility in this emerging area and propose privacy‐preserving targeted mobile advertising as a solution that tries to achieve that balance. Our aim is to develop a solution that can be deployed by users but is also palatable to businesses that operate in this space. This paper focuses on the requirements and design of privacy‐preserving targeted mobile advertising and also describes an initial prototype. Recently, various autonomous mobile robots have been developed for practical use. To support the coexistence of robots and humans in real environments, we propose a concept named ‘Region with Velocity Constraints (RVC),’ which is set around hazardous areas. RVCs are regions where the velocities of the robot are constrained to predefined values. Inside the RVCs, the robot has to reduce its translational velocity to avoid predicted hazards such as collisions with obstacles, and to reduce its rotational velocity to prevent undesirable motions such as sharp turns. We also propose a motion planning method for navigating the mobile robot in an environment with RVCs based on the Navigation Function and Global Dynamic Window Approach. Our method generates a trajectory satisfying both translational and rotational velocity constraints to be compatible with the surroundings. This study develops a research model that explains the continuance of corporate social network service (SNS) pages. In order to find antecedents that influence end users’ continuance intention, this study adopts communicative ecology theory from media and communication studies. Results indicate that the quality of social interaction is the most salient feature, as indicated by the fact that it has the highest impact on perceived usefulness and enjoyment. Moreover, content quality also increases both perceived usefulness and enjoyment, while SNS platform quality and service quality increase perceived usefulness only. Mathematical models are described for collaborative distribution between two logistics service providers (LSPs). We find that (a) collaborative distribution is conditionally profitable for LSPs, and the conditions for cooperation are given; (b) LSPs save more costs primarily by shortening the delivery distance and decreasing delivery speed; (c) collaborative distribution makes the delivery time either shorter or longer; (d) if one LSP changes its equilibrium price, the total profit conditionally increases, and this condition is related to demand structure and delivery cost structure; and (e) collaborative distribution can solve the personalization of delivery time and reduce pollution to some extent. For the companies sharing the incremental profit, we characterize a transfer payment contract that includes fixed and variable fees. Our findings suggest that LSPs should adopt collaborative distribution to formulate an optimal distribution plan to save costs and shorten the delivery time, and should select partners with smaller cost parameters and both different and moderate speeds. In addition, warehouse and vehicle sharing are beneficial to the implementation of collaborative distribution. 相似文献
