JITL-based concentration control for semi-batch pH-shift reactive crystallization of l-glutamic acid

Although concentration control (C-control) strategy has been shown to give effective and robust control performance for batch cooling and semi-batch antisolvent crystallizations in recent years, no research work was reported concerning the potential application of conventional C-control for the more challenging semi-batch pH-shift reactive crystallization that is common in the process industries. To this end, this paper presents detailed analysis to find out that it is not feasible to apply the C-control to semi-batch pH-shift reactive crystallization. To circumvent this problem, a variant of C-control strategy by incorporating the Just-in-Time Learning (JITL) method to cope with strong process nonlinearity inherent in the pH-shift reactive crystallization is developed in this paper. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the proposed design and a comparison with conventional optimal control is made. 相似文献

Summary A new kind of organic-inorganic hybrid composite was prepared by means of the sol-gel process. The polymer employed was a mixed-isomer aromatic polyamide having good solubility and thermal stability. The silica constituting the inorganic phase was produced by the hydrolysis and condensation of tetramethoxysilane. The bonding between the phases involved aminophenyl-trimethoxysilane, in which the amino group can react with the phthaloyl chloride end-capped polymer, and the methoxysilane groups undergo hydrolysis. The composition of these composites was varied by changing the linear polymer chain length and relative amount of tetramethoxysilane. The gelation time was found to range from a few minutes to several days. Thermogravimetric analyses showed that decomposition starts at approximately 450 °C. Thin films cast from materials having a relatively high silica content were opaque and rigid, but those with low silica content were flexible and transparent. 相似文献

In this paper, manufacturing technology of the tubular single lap adhesive joint was studied to obtain reliable and optimal joint quality. In addition, a surface preparation method and a bonding process for the joint were devised. The effect of the adhesive thickness and the adherend roughness on the fatigue strength of the joint was experimentally investigated. From experiments, it has been found that the fatigue strength of the joint increased as the adhesive thickness decreased and the optimal arithmetic surface roughness of the adherends was about 2 μm. 相似文献

An adhesive-bonding process cycle study was performed for a polyimidesulphone. The high molecular weight, linear aromatic system possesses properties which make it attractive as a processable, low-cost material for elevated temperature applications. The results of a study to better understand the parameters that affect the adhesive properties of the polymer for titanium alloy adherends are presented. These include the tape preparation, the use of a primer and press and simulated autoclave processing conditions. The polymer was characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, glass transition temperature determination, flow measurements, and weight loss measurements.
