Chatter is an unstable nonlinear dynamical phenomenon often encountered in machining operations because of the self‐excitation mechanism, which may lead to overcut or rapid tool wear, and hence, greatly influence the surface quality and productivity in milling operations. Recent years have witnessed an increasing industrial demand of high quality and high efficiency machining. This paper hereby develops a constrained active adaptive control method to mitigate the chatter dynamics with input saturations. To guarantee the feasibility of the proposed approach, moderate stable conditions of the closed‐loop system are afterwards derived by using the LaSalle–Yoshizawa theorem as well. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to show the substantially enlarged stable region in the Lobe Diagram. Thus, the method can be expected to improve the efficiency of milling processes. This paper studies the problems of stabilization of discrete‐time linear systems with a single input delay. By developing the methodology of pseudo‐predictor feedback, which uses the (artificial) closed‐loop system dynamics to predict the future state, memoryless state feedback control laws are constructed to solve the problem. Necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained to guarantee the stability of the closed‐loop system in terms of the stability of a class‐difference equations. It is also shown that the proposed controller achieves semi‐global stabilization of the system if its actuator is subject to either magnitude saturation or energy constraints under the condition that the open‐loop system is only polynomially unstable. This paper considers both semi‐global and global containment control for a second‐order multi‐agent system that is composed by a network of identical harmonic oscillators or double integrators with multiple leaders and input saturation. A distributed low gain feedback algorithm is proposed to solve the semi‐global containment control problem for the network whose topology is directed and initial condition is taken from any a priori given bounded set. In particular, by using a parametric Lyapunov equation approach, M‐matrix properties and algebraic graph theory, an upper bound of the low gain parameter is estimated such that the low gain feedback matrix can be analytically determined without involving numerical computation. Furthermore, under the assumption that the induced subgraph formed by the followers is strongly connected and detail balanced, two linear feedback protocols are designed for coupled harmonic oscillators and coupled double integrators, respectively, to asymptotically achieve the global containment control of the network with any initial condition. In this communication, triple band hybrid multi‐input–multi‐output (MIMO) cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA) with high isolation is examined. The proposed MIMO antenna includes two symmetric folded microstrip line feeding structures along with CDRA at two different ends of substrate. Two inverted L‐shaped strips on the ground plane are used to enhance the isolation (S12 < ?15 dB) as well as to generates 2.7 GHz frequency band. Metallic strip on the ground plane act as an electromagnetic reflector and also enhance the isolation between two antennas (S12 < ?20 dB). Archetype of proposed MIMO antenna design has been fabricated and tested to validate the simulated results. The proposed antenna operates at three different frequency bands 2.24–2.38 GHz, 2.5–3.26 GHz, and 4.88–7.0 GHz (S11 < ?6 dB) with the fractional bandwidth 6.06%, 26.4%, and 35.7%, respectively. Folded microstrip lines generate path delay between the electric field lines and originate circular polarization characteristics in the frequency range 5.55–5.75 GHz with the fractional bandwidth of 3.55%. In order to satisfy the different performance requirement of MIMO antenna such as envelop correlation coefficient, mean effective gain, effective diversity gain, peak gain are also examined. In this paper, the robust input covariance constraint (ICC) control problem with polytopic uncertainty is solved using convex optimization with linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach. The ICC control problem is an optimal control problem that optimizes the output performance subjected to multiple constraints on the input covariance matrices. This control problem has significant practical implications when hard constraints need to be satisfied on control actuators. The contribution of this paper is the characterization of the control synthesis LMIs used to solve the robust ICC control problem for polytopic uncertain systems. Both continuous‐ and discrete‐time systems are considered. Parameter‐dependent and independent Lyapunov functions have been used for robust ICC controller synthesis. In this paper, an adaptive estimator (AE) is introduced to learn the approximate Q‐function and control policy by only using the noisy states and control signals of the unknown linear, discrete time systems having constant input time delay. The system measurements are uncertain owing to output error (OE)‐type noise acting randomly on the system measurements. Therefore, this research differs from the designed AE in the literature since previous research ignores the role of the external random disturbances on AE‐based learning. In order to compare the AE‐based learning results with traditional system identification (SI) approaches, a modified version of the OE model structure for unstable systems is reviewed and parameters of a second‐order unstable system with constant input time delay are identified. The simulation results demonstrate that the designed AE efficiently minimizes the stochastic cost function and the temporal difference error by learning the approximate solution for the Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Bellman (HJB) equation. It is noted that the error in the Q‐function obtained with the AE is slightly larger than the Q‐function attained with the identified OE parameters. However, as the noise standard deviation increases, the error in the AE‐based learning results reduces whereas the error in the OE‐based learning increases. This indicates that even though the added random noise deteriorates the performance of the OE predictor, it improves the learning efficiency of the AE since it acts like exploration noise. 相似文献

An adaptive tracking control approach is presented for nonlinear systems with a class of input nonlinearities. A generalized model has been developed for a class of non‐smooth nonlinearities that include dead‐zone, backlash and ‘backlash‐like’ hysteresis. By using the developed model and Nussbaum‐gain technique, the problem of input nonlinearity is solved perfectly. The proposed method is available even when the designer is uncertain about the type of input nonlinearities mentioned above, and the knowledge on the bounds of these nonlinearity parameters is not required. Furthermore, it is proved that all closed‐loop signals are bounded and the tracking error converges to a small residual set asymptotically.
