Response-time simulation of multivariate point process models for multiprogrammed jobstreams

We consider simulation methods for particular marked multivariate point processes, calledR-processes, which have recently been proposed as models for multiprogrammed jobstreams. Using workload marks on events, such models facilitate the incorporation of realistic workload characteristics into computer system performance predictions. We consider R-processes in which workload marks for an individual jobstream form a stationary sequence of discrete random variables having a (generally non-Markovian) mixed moving average-autoregressive dependency structure. For such models we provide a method for obtaining from a single simulation run point and interval estimates for general characteristics of job response times.

A FORMULA FOR THE INVERSE AUTOCORRELATION FUNCTION OF AN AUTOREGRESSIVE PROCESS

Abstract. The determination of the inverse autocorrelation function of a weakly stationary autoregressive process using the autocorrelation function is considered. Usually this is carried out either by using frequency domain methods or by solving first the parameters of the process and then using them. In this paper we give a simple formula by which the inverse autocorrelation function can be determined directly from the autocorrelation function.

引大总干渠先明峡倒虹吸水平管段复位施工方法

引大入秦工程总干渠先明峡倒虹吸管水平段钢管因温度变化引起上下游伸缩节的预留伸缩量发生了较大的变化,造成支承环的底座与支墩上的四氟滑块产生了较大错位,支墩出现了偏心受压,大部分四氟滑块出现断裂、脱胶和翘曲等破坏。通过水平管段支承环底座的摩阻力、伸缩节橡胶棒摩阻力计算,水平管段采用箱型定向滑动导轨和滑动钢球的复位措施、施工方法、步骤。采用该施工方法复位后,工程运行情况良好。     

中型山区河流水电站下游的鱼类生态需水量计算

为更好地对河流水电开发后的鱼类进行保护,探讨中型山区河流水电站下游的鱼类生态需水量计算.参照大型河流鱼类水力生境参数标准,根据中型山区河流的特点,得到中型山区河流鱼类水力生境参数的参考标准.选取有代表性的四川中型山区河流杂谷脑河进行鱼类生境原型观测,原型观测结果证实了该参考标准能够满足杂谷脑河鱼类对生境的实际需求.基于所得到的参考标准,应用生态水力学法对杂谷脑河红叶二级、理县以及甘堡3座电站减水河段的鱼类生态需水量进行计算分析,得到3座电站的生态需水量推荐值.通过分析可知,所得到的生态需水量推荐值占年均天然流量以及设计引用流量的比例都不高,在3座电站的运行实践中,具有可操作性.     

水利对粮食生产贡献率的认识与思考

针对目前很多人对农业科技进步贡献率和水利对粮食生产贡献率的不同认识,从发展历程、概念内涵、测算思路方法等方面,剖析了二者差异,认为二者在测算范围上存在大口径与小口径的差异,在测算对象上存在增量与总量的差异,在测算指标上存在产值与产量的差异,在测算方法上存在余值法与有无对比法的差异,为正确认识这两个指标提供了参考。     

The optimal retrieval of ocean color constituent concentrations based on the variational method

In this paper, a new approach to the optimal retrieval of the ocean color based on the variational method is developed by setting up a rational target functional combining with the Broydor Fletcher, Goldfarb, Shanno (BFGS) optimal algorithm. The numerical tests and the exemplary retrievals are carried out and compared with the statistical retrievals and the optimal retrievals based on the genetic algorithm. The results show that this approach enjoys a higher accuracy as compared to the statistical method and a higher efficiency as compared to the genetic algorithm. The optimal retrieval method presented in this paper provides a new idea for the ocean color inversion and could also be used as a reference for the direct assimilation of the satellite data into the ecological models.
