基于ELM的硫熏强度软测量模型

硫熏强度是亚法糖厂澄清工段的关键工艺参数之一;硫熏强度过低会影响澄清效果,过高会造成成品糖二氧化硫残留过高;目前由于缺乏合适的硫熏强度在线测量装置,该参数主要采用人工取样和离线化验的检测方式,化验滞后时间较长,难以根据该指标及时指导实际生产的问题;为此文章采用极限学习机(ELLM)方法建立了硫熏强度软测量模型,并与基于支持向量机(SVM)、径向基函数(RBF)神经网络和反向传播(BP)神经网络的硫熏强度软测量模型进行对比分析;结果显示,基于ELM的硫熏强度软测量模型具有训练收敛速度快、模型精度高和泛化性能好等优点,可以满足实际糖厂澄清工段的要求.     

基于改进FAHP的电力通信网可靠性评估方法研究

论文阐述了可靠性的一般评估方法,在借鉴TMN管理模型的基础上,对电力通信网可靠性进行了分层,构建了可靠性综合评估指标体系.为减少指标体系权重的主观性,提高评估结果的客观性和可信性,提出了一种改进的FAHP综合可靠性评估方法.该方法基于对数最小二乘法(LLSM)进行模糊权重计算,利用限位系数法来实现评估结果的解模糊过程,实例评估验证了该方法的有效性和可行性.最后对电力通信网可靠性的研究方向给出了建议.     

Requirements for Security Enhancements to Legacy Software with RUP

ABSTRACT

This article describes how to adapt a specific part of the Rational Unified Process (RUP) framework for the purpose of conducting requirements gathering for software projects aimed at adding security features to legacy software. The RUP seems particularly fitting for this purpose because it aggregates numerous software engineering terms into a common body of knowledge and strives to give them clear and unambiguous semantics. Furthermore, the RUP allows project coordinators to pick and choose only the process elements best suited to meet the particular needs of a project.

The article should prove useful to project managers, process engineers, and software architects responsible for teaching old software new security functions. It should also prove useful to organizations that have already carried out basic software security projects such as those that fix buffer overflows, teach the software to perform better data validation, replace unsafe string handling functions, and recompile code with safe exception handling. This article covers only a small and very specific part of the RUP. It interprets the RUP in ways guided by the author's experience and specializes the Requirements discipline for use in projects tasked with adding new security features to legacy software.     

Adaptive detection of range-spread targets without secondary data in multichannel autoregressive process

Adaptive detection of range-spread targets without secondary data is addressed in a multichannel autoregressive Gaussian disturbance with unknown space–time covariance matrix, by utilizing the Rao test. The proposed Rao test without secondary data is theoretically proved to be asymptotically (large-sample in the number of temporal observations) constant false alarm rate with respect to unknown space–time covariance matrix, thanks to an asymptotic equivalence between the Rao test and the generalized likelihood ratio test. Moreover, the performance loss due to no secondary data can be remedied by appropriately increasing the temporal dimension. The performance assessment conducted by Monte Carlo simulation, also in comparison with the existing detector without secondary data, confirms the effectiveness of the proposed detectors.     

Research Partners,Teaching Partners: A Collaboration between FYC Faculty and Librarians to Study Students’ Research and Writing Habits

In Spring 2012, instruction librarians collaborated with first year composition (FYC) faculty to study students’ research habits as they related to writing. We collected process narratives from students in the introductory FYC course at the beginning and end of the fall semester, and a group of librarians and FYC faculty coded them together. Although we did not achieve one of our initial research goals, we still gained valuable insight into how our students perceive sources and the research process. We applied what we learned to create new instructional materials and developed a valuable relationship with FYC faculty.     

An Investigation of Information Systems Interoperability in UK Universities: Findings and Recommendations

This article reports on the key findings and implications of the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC)-funded Online Catalogue and Repository Interoperability Study (OCRIS), a 3-month project which investigated the interoperability of Online Public Access Catalogues (OPACs) and Institutional Repositories (IRs) within UK universities. A series of detailed recommendations enumerate some of the ways in which they might begin to develop and support an interoperable systems landscape to the benefit of all key stakeholders.

The project combined quantitative and qualitative research methods including an online questionnaire distributed to staff within 85 universities, desk research, and two case studies conducted at the Universities of Cambridge and Glasgow.
