In CFD simulations of two-phase flows, accurate drag force modeling is essential for predicting particle dynamics. However, a generally valid formulation is lacking, as all available drag force correlations have been established for specific flow situations. In particular, these correlations have not been evaluated for particle-laden flows subjected to electrostatic forces. The paper reports the effect of drag force modeling on the flow of electrically charged particles. To this end, we implemented different drag force correlations to the open-source CFD tool pafiX. Then, we performed highly-resolved Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS) using the Eulerian–Lagrangian approach of a particle-laden channel flow with the friction Reynolds number of 180. The simulations generally revealed a strong influence of the precise drag correlation on particles in the near-wall region and a minor effect on the particles far from the walls. Due to their turbophoretic drift, particles accumulate close to the channel walls. For uncharged particles, the simulations show large deviations of the particle concentration profile in the near-wall region depending on the drag force correlation. Therefore, the disturbance of the flow surrounding a particle by a nearby wall or other particles is important for its drag. Driven by electrostatic forces, charged particles accumulate even closer to the wall. Contrary to the uncharged cases, when the particles carry a high charge (in our case one femto-coulomb), we found minor effects of drag force modeling on particle concentration profiles. In conclusion, for the investigated conditions, we propose to account for the effect of nearby particles and walls on the drag of low- or uncharged particles.  相似文献

Based on the coal self-preheating combustion technology, this research proposed a novel internal fluidized bed combustor (IFBC) with an internal separator for stable preheating of fuel. In order to verify feasibility and operation stability of IFBC, cold experiment, electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) and computational particle fluid dynamic (CPFD) simulation were performed in a laboratory-scale IFBC. The effects of superficial air velocity (Ug) and return valve structure on the operation and gas-solid flow characteristics were investigated. The results revealed that the CPFD prediction agreed well with the experiment values. The pressure balance curve presented an “8″ shape distribution, and the particle volume fraction (PVF) showed ‘core-annular’ distribution features. With the increase of Ug, the PVF in the standpipe increased, and the discharge pattern of the return valve changed from continuous discharge to intermittent discharge, and the solid circulation flux showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing. With the decrease of the outlet opening of return valve (Φ), the gas–solid flow behavior in standpipe experienced a transition from gas leakage, stabilizing material seal, and blocking state. For Ug = 2 m/s, Φ = 50 %, an effective solid seal in the return valve was established and IFBC has a stable circulation and operation.  相似文献

尾气遥测作为一种快速监测技术广泛应用于机动车排放监测,然而其动态检测的准确性评价手段有限。通过对比机动车尾气遥测系统的静态的校准方法,发现燃烧方程的辅助计算可以修正测量数据,克服仪器在动态测试中气体扩散的影响。利用燃烧方程分别归纳了以1,3丁二烯与丙烷为碳氢标志物的标准气体的比例关系,并配制和验证了2种标准气体用于机动车尾气遥测系统的动态准确度检测。研究结果表明符合燃烧方程的标准气体能够更好地表征仪器对低浓度组分动态测量结果的准确性。研究结果可为机动车尾气遥测仪检测用标准气体制备提供指导,优化动态准确度的计量检测条件。  相似文献

A reasonably complete theory for the synthesis of robust controllers for a broad class of nonlinear systems is now available. We use this theory to generalize the linear theory of normalized coprime factor robustness optimization to the case of affine input nonlinear systems. Uni-directional wave models are used to study wave groups that appear in wave tanks of hydrodynamic laboratories; characteristic for waves in such tanks is that the wave length is rather small, comparable to the depth of the layer. In second-order theory, the resulting Nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation for the envelope of the wave group contains the dispersion of the group velocity multiplying the linear term and a gen-coefficient that results from mode generation multiplying the nonlinear term. The signs of these coefficients determine whether experimentally relevant wave groups are possible or not. If the dispersion is modelled in such a way that it is correct for all wave lengths for infinitesimal waves, relevant wave groups are obtained consisting of constituent waves with a certain maximal wave length; other models for the dispersion (such as in the KdV-equation) lead to different results.  相似文献

The dynamic viscosity and the density of the associative ternary mixture water+diacetone alcohol+2-propanol have been measured as a function of temperature T (303.15, 323.15, and 343.15 K) and pressure P (100 MPa). The experimental results correspond to 698 values of and . With reference to the 54 values previously published on pure substances and 486 values for three corresponding binaries, the system is globally described by 1188 experimental values for various values of P, T and composition.
