This paper discusses about a unified implementation structure of the filtered Smith predictor (FSP) for MIMO processes with multiple time delays. Two kinds of dead-time free models are analyzed in order to extend the original properties of the SISO Smith predictor to MIMO processes with multiple time delays. It is demonstrated that FSP strategy can be applied to control open-loop unstable processes with multiple time delays by considering a model without any input, output or internal coupling delays. Moreover, for open-loop stable processes, it is shown that the FSP scheme can be used to speed-up disturbance rejection of processes with multiple time delays by using a nominal model without delay. Different simulation examples are used to illustrate the proposed strategy properties and advantages over other MIMO time-delay compensators. This paper presents a new method to calculate the feedback control gain for a class of multivariable bilinear system, and also applied this method on the control of two sections of paper-making process with disturbance. The robust H∞ control problem is to design a state feedback controller such that the robust stability and a prescribed H∞ performance of the resulting closed-loop system are ensured. The controller turns out to be robust with respect to the disturbance in the plant. Utilizing the Schur complement and some variable transformations, the stability conditions of the multivariable bilinear systems are formulated in terms of Lyapunov function via the form of linear matrix inequality (LMI). The gain of controller will be calculated via LMI. Finally, the application examples of a headbox section and a dryer section of paper-making process are used to illustrate the applicability of the proposed method. 相似文献

Radiation-initiated copolymerization of solid trioxane (TOX) with tetrahydrofuran (THF) was investigated. The effects of radiation dose, THF concentration, and post-polymerization temperature and duration on copolymer yield and THF incorporation were studied. These results are compared with the results of TOX homopolymerization under identical conditions. Copolymer yield was lower than that of homopolymer. Only a fraction of charged THF entered into the polymer chain. THF content and radiation dose also altered the MW of the copolymer but it showed better thermal stability. The initial reaction rates of the copolymerization were determined and from these the activation energy was found to be 36.2 kcal mol?1. 相似文献

The type-2 fuzzy models can handle the system uncertainties directly based on the type-2 fuzzy sets. In this paper, the Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy model approach is extended to the stability analysis and controller design for interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy systems with time-varying delay. Delay-dependent robust stability criteria are developed in terms of linear matrix inequalities by using the improvement technique of free-weighting matrices. Less conservative results are obtained by considering the information contained in the footprint of uncertainty. Finally, two simulation examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results. One is provided to show the merits of the proposed method, the other based on the continuous stirred tank reactor model is given to illustrate the design processes of IT2 fuzzy controller for a nonlinear system with parameter uncertainties. 相似文献

This paper mainly studies an extended discrete singular fuzzy model incorporating the multiple difference matrices in the rules and discusses its stability and design issues. By embracing additional algebraic constraint, traditional discrete Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model can be extended to a generalised discrete singular Takagi-Sugeno (GDST-S) model with individual difference matrices Ei in the locally singular models, where it can describe a larger class of physical or non-linear systems. Based on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, we focus on deriving some explicit stability and design criteria expressed by the LMIs for the regarded system. Thus, the stability verification and controller synthesis can be performed by the current LMI tools. A great number of complex electronic devices are now part of our everyday lives. While many of us learn to handle these products by trial and error; others, especially older users with little experience in using electronic devices, need support. In order to allow the user maximum flexibility in terms of learning time and location, a training programme is presented which is implemented as part of the software embedded in the product itself. Particular focus is placed on the effect of adaptive training on learning. In this study, the training versions differed in their ability to adjust their complexity to the user's experience (adaptive user interface complexity) and their capability to support the learner by prompting them during the learning process (adaptive training advice). The results show that the adjustment of complexity had a positive effect on users’ experience: elderly users who trained with an adaptive interface were more successful in learning to use a mobile phone. Adaptive training advice, however, was found to have no significant effects on learners’ success and reduced their self-efficacy. This work offers guidelines on how to design integrated training applications for electronic devices that successfully help elderly users with little prior experience. 相似文献

We study a semilinear mildly damped wave equation that contains the telegraph equation as a special case. We consider Neumann velocity boundary feedback and prove the exponential stability of the closed loop system. We show that for vanishing damping term in the partial differential equation, the decay rate of the system approaches the rate for the system governed by the wave equation without damping term. In particular, this implies that arbitrarily large decay rates can occur if the velocity damping in the partial differential equation is sufficiently small. 相似文献
