Abstract: As a contribution to the field of stress concentration studies, the case of circular hole in curved bar elements under bending is hereby studied. Trend values of stress concentration factors (SCF) are presented based on selected variables of the problem for two critical hole locations. The results will help to identify an SCF law for practical use by applying the statistical method of regression analysis. Two approximations obtained by means of computational methods are compared with those obtained by photoelastic experimental method.  相似文献

The current study examined psychological and physical health outcomes of the written disclosure paradigm and the hypothesis that the principles of therapeutic exposure account for the beneficial effects of the paradigm. Participants were randomly assigned to either a written disclosure condition or a control condition. Reactivity to the writing sessions was examined using both subjective and physiological measures. Measures of psychological and physical health were completed before and 1 month after the sessions. Participants assigned to the disclosure condition reported fewer psychological and physical symptoms at follow-up compared with control participants, though reductions were clinically significant for only 1 outcome measure. Physiological activation to the 1st disclosure session was associated with reduced psychological symptoms at follow-up for disclosure participants. Subjective reports of emotional responding corresponded with physiological reactivity. Implications of these findings are discussed. In contrast to D. C. Zuroff, M. Mongrain, and D. A. Santor (2004), the current authors find the promissory note of dependency-sociotropy (DEP-SOC) and self-criticism-autonomy (SC-AUT) as a model of risk for depression to be in default. The authors propose reorganizing what has been cast as unitary effort into 3 distinct endeavors: a psychoanalytic clinical theory, development of a refined empirical model of risk for clinical depression, and research examining the effects of DEP-SOC and SC-AUT on interpersonal relationships in nonclinical samples. The authors identify some issues that need to be accommodated regardless of whether the assessment of Zuroff et al. (2004) or their own is accepted. DEP-SOC and SC-AUT are best construed as correlated, continuous dimensions. Future work also needs to accommodate depression as chronic recurrent condition, advances in developmental psychopathology, and more stringent criteria for positing a risk factor for clinical disorder. This paper describes the implicit integration and consistent tangent modulus of an inelastic constitutive model with transient and steady strain rates, both of which are time‐ and temperature‐dependent; the transient rate is influenced by the evolution of back stress decomposed into parts, while the steady rate depends only on applied stress and temperature. Such a non‐unified model is useful for high‐temperature structural analysis and is practical owing to the ease in determining material constants. The implicit integration is shown to result in two scalar‐valued coupled equations, and the consistent tangent modulus is derived in a quite versatile form by introducing a set of fourth‐rank constitutive parameters into the discretized evolution rule of back stress. The constitutive model is, then, implemented in a finite element program and applied to a lead‐free solder joint analysis. It is demonstrated that the implicit integration is very accurate if the multilinear kinematic hardening model of Ohno and Wang is employed, and that the consistent tangent modulus certainly affords quadratic convergence to the Newton–Raphson iteration in solving nodal force equilibrium equations. The fracture stress of chemical vapour deposited diamond   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The factors which control the fracture stress of chemical vapour deposited diamond have been studied using the 3-point bend geometry. Fracture stress values of 300–800 MPa for the growth side and 600–1200 MPa for the nucleation side were recorded for samples of thickness 0.4–2.4 mm. A Weibull modulus of 23 was calculated for the growth surface data, showing that the fracture stress variability was low for a brittle material. A theory based on these results demonstrates that the material behaviour is remarkably simple, depending only on the grain size and the sample thickness, regardless of wide variations in other parameters such as optical transmission and stress state. The paper also contains a possible explanation for this well-defined behaviour based on microstress variations resulting from differences in defect density in different growth sectors within a grain.  相似文献

大庆油田在长垣东部深层油气田勘探开发过程中存在井眼不稳定问题。在对深层失稳井段资料调研的基础上,开展了易塌地层泥页岩水化膨胀及分散特性评价以及比亲水量研究。通过泥页岩--试液模拟作用的化学位差反渗透实验以及压力传递实验等,探讨了不同条件下泥页岩水化应力变化规律。利用井壁稳定性模拟实验装置(SHM仪),评价了不同钻井液防塌效果。理论分析和实验表明,当使用水基钻井液在复杂泥页岩地层钻进时,如何控制泥页岩压力传递和流体侵入是解决泥页岩井壁不稳的技术关键。使用长垣东部深层泥页岩与硅酸盐钻井液作用的实验表明,硅酸盐钻井液能显著降低泥岩渗透率,阻止钻井液滤液与孔隙压力的传递,改善膜效率,有助于充分发挥化学位差诱导的反渗透防塌作用效果。  相似文献

A method for computing three-dimensional Reynolds shear stresses and boundary shear stress distribution in smooth rectangular channels is developed by applying an order of magnitude analysis to integrate the Reynolds equations. A simplified relationship between the lateral and vertical terms is hypothesized for which the Reynolds equations become solvable. This relationship has the form of a power law with an exponent of n = 1, 2, or infinity. The semiempirical equations for the boundary shear distribution and the distribution of Reynolds shear stresses are compared with measured data in open channels. The power-law exponent of 2 gave the best overall results while n=infinity gave good results near the boundary.  相似文献

Delamination of residually stressed thin film strips is analyzed to expose the dependence on strip width and film/substrate elastic mismatch. Isotropic films and substrates are assumed. The residual stress in the film is tensile and assumed to originate from mismatch due to thermal expansion or epitaxial deposition. Full and partial delamination modes are explored. In full delamination, the interface crack extends across the entire width of the strip and releases all the elastic energy stored in the strip as the crack propagates along the interface. The energy release rate available to propagate the interface crack is a strong function of the strip width and the elastic modulus of the film relative to that of the substrate. The energy release rate associated with full delamination is determined as a function of the interface crack length from initiation to steady-state, revealing a progression of behavior depending in an essential way on the three dimensionality of the strip. The dependence of the energy release rate on the remaining ligament as the interface crack converges with the strip end has also been calculated, and the results provide an effective means for inferring interface toughness from crack arrest position. A partial delamination propagates along the strip leaving a narrow width of strip attached to the substrate. In this case, the entire elastic energy stored in the strip is not released because the strain component parallel to the strip is not relaxed. A special application is also considered, in which a residually stressed metal superlayer is deposited onto a polymer strip. The energy release rate for an interface crack propagating along the interface between the polymer and the substrate is determined in closed form.  相似文献
