英语谚语的修辞和汉译特点

从语音、语义、结构3个方面分析了英语谚语的语言修辞特点,在此基础上,提出了等值、直译、意译、直意结合等4种汉译方法。另外,还提及了引申、对衬、格言、借用等4种具体翻译技巧。     

同沉积断裂带砂砾岩隐蔽油藏研究——以东营凹陷胜北断裂带为例

以构造层序、层序地层分析和基准面分析原理为手段,利用高分辨率地震剖面、测井、岩相等资料,重点研究了东营凹陷胜北断裂带深断陷型湖盆层序中的低位体系域砂体沉积特征、发育规律及其石油地质意义.研究表明,沙三期胜北断裂带的活动形成了断裂坡折带,该坡折带控制沙三段层序低位体系域冲积扇、扇三角洲、浊积扇和小型三角洲等砂体的发育及时空展布.断裂坡折带控制的低位体系域砂体位于层序底部、最大湖泛面之下,成藏条件优良,是隐蔽油气藏勘探的主要方向.

介绍了深圳市机动车发展现状,分别用趋势外推法、城市比较分析法和分类法预测了2010-2020年深圳市的机动车保有量,最后预测了机动车的油气需求量。

探讨了在疲劳／蠕变复合作用下聚苯乙烯的损伤交互作用，结果表明，在疲劳／蠕变复合作用下聚苯乙烯存在疲劳和蠕变的交互损伤，其断裂寿命比纯疲劳或纯蠕变的断裂寿命低；断裂机制是疲劳循环载荷松动和活化了分子链或链段，从而促进蠕变运动和断裂，并且，疲劳／蠕变的交互损伤程度与温度密切相关。

闽西南地区推覆(滑脱)构造广泛发育,可划分为5种类型:发育于上古生界—中生界下三叠统溪口组中的拆离(滑脱)构造;形成于印支期的拆离(滑脱)构造,后受燕山早期及后期的褶皱作用形成褶皱拆离构造;印支期及燕山早期的中深层次逆冲推覆构造;燕山早期和晚期的浅层次逆冲推覆构造;分布于燕山早期浅层次逆冲推覆构造原地岩系之中的浅层次褶皱逆冲推覆构造,其中燕山早期中深层次逆冲推覆构造规模最大。      

The negated conditional: A litmus test for the suppositional conditional?

Under the suppositional account of conditionals, when people think about a conditional assertion, "if p then q," they engage in a mental simulation in which they imagine p holds and evaluate the probability that q holds under this supposition. One implication of this account is that belief in a conditional equates to conditional probability [P(q/p)]. In this paper, the authors examine a further implication of this analysis with respect to the wide-scope negation of conditional assertions, "it is not the case that if p then q." Under the suppositional account, nothing categorically follows from the negation of a conditional, other than a second conditional, "if p then not-q." In contrast, according to the mental model theory, a negated conditional is consistent only with the determinate state of affairs, p and not-q. In 4 experiments, the authors compare the contrasting predictions that arise from each of these accounts. 应用线段长短、间距大小视觉反应的量化规律，提出设计图形符号大小的原则——既更使其大小满足“长”“短”“大”“小”的心理要求，又要互相之间在大小上有区分性。根据图形组织的相似、接近、连续三原则提出设计图形符号形状的原则——图形符号之间尽量减少相似、接近、连续，以保证较好的区分性。通过分析发现，现行建筑制图标准中的图形符号绝大部分在大小和形状具有适宜性、区分性。     

Fodor and Pylyshyn on connectionism

Fodor and Pylyshyn (1988) have argued that the cognitive architecture is not Connectionist. Their argument takes the following form: (1) the cognitive architecture is Classical; (2) Classicalism and Connectionism are incompatible; (3) therefore the cognitive architecture is not Connectionist. In this essay I argue that Fodor and Pylyshyn's defenses of (1) and (2) are inadequate. Their argument for (1), based on their claim that Classicalism best explains the systematicity of cognitive capacities, is an invalid instance of inference to the best explanation. And their argument for (2) turns out to be question-begging. The upshot is that, while Fodor and Pylyshyn have presented Connectionists with the important empirical challenge of explaining systematicity, they have failed to provide sufficient reason for inferring that the cognitive architecture is Classical and not Connectionist.
