BASF presents a new high viscosity ester base stock technology.Viscosity profiles of these new candidates are comparable to market-known high viscosity PAO types such as PAO 40 and PAO 100.Due to the more polar nature of the new ester base stocks additional benefits can be achieved in terms of friction reduction,energy efficiency or facilitated additive solubilisation against high viscosity PAOs.The superior performance of the new high viscosity ester base stock technology is demonstrated in direct comparison against high viscosity PAO counterparts in industrial gear applications.The basic advantages found herein in industrial gear applications are also of relevance for other lubricant applications such as automotive driveline oil or engine oil applications.As one exemplary area industrial gear applications play a dominant role in modern wind turbines.The latest generation of lubricants used in these turbine gear boxes are required to provide a greater performance in terms of wear protection,durability,foam resistance,shear stability,and oxidation resistance.Common formulations are based on a PAO base stock thickened with high molecular weight PAO polymers to achieve a viscosity of ISO 320 combined with additives to provide wear protection,foam resistance etc.A recent plant outage coupled with high demand for high molecular weight PAO polymers has led to the market becoming aware of potential availability issues.In response to this important challenge BASF has developed a new formulation strategy-based on the new high viscosity ester technology and upon a widely available low molecular weight PAO base stock employing a new concept in a thickening system that avoids the use of high molecular weight PAO polymers.The novel ester base stock can be manufactured at multiple locations and is based on sustainable raw materials that can be sourced from a wide supplier base. 相似文献

Bio-based coating materials have emerged as an environmentally friendly alternative to petrochemical based ones due to their sustainability, lower carbon footprint and often lower cost. Acrylated vegetable oils and their derivatives are increasingly preferred for advanced photo-curable “green” coatings due to a number of technical and commercial benefits. We report a novel family of acrylate-functional monomers/oligomers derived from epoxidized soybean oil (ESO) and epoxidized soy-methyl ester (EME), using 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA) as an acrylating agent. Using super-acid catalyzed etherification, acrylated soy-monomers and oligomers with lower viscosity and high acrylate content have been synthesized. 通过对华昌公司苯乙烯挥发抑制剂Merican 109加入树脂前后的固化性能及树脂对玻璃钢表面的粘接性能测试和对粘接测试后剥离表面的扫描电镜分析研究了Merican 109在树脂常温固化过程中对苯乙烯挥发的抑制作用。同时将华昌公司新型低苯乙烯挥发树脂MEF-2LSE、Merican 9709LSE、Merican 9406LSE等在常温固化过程中苯乙烯的挥发性与通用树脂进行了比较。结果表明,Merican 109与德国公司BYK 740作用相当,苯乙烯挥发量降低了50%~90%,且固化性能、粘接强度未受影响。MEF-2LSE树脂的低挥发性表现优异,15℃时挥发量为普通树脂的1/8。 相似文献

Two different vinyl ester resin monomers derived from dimer fatty acids (DA), dimer fatty acids polymerized glycidyl methacrylate (DA-p-GMA) resin and maleic anhydride modified dimer fatty acids polymerized glycidyl methacrylate (MA-m-DA-p-GMA) resin were prepared via simple ring-opening and esterification. FTIR, 1H-NMR and GPC results demonstrated that these two target products have been successfully synthesized. Moreover, DA-based vinyl ester resin–styrene copolymers with different weight ratios were also prepared by a thermal polymerization, and their mechanical, morphological and thermal properties were investigated. Mechanical tests displayed that the prepared copolymers had excellent mechanical properties, and even at a low styrene content of 30 wt%, the copolymers still had excellent flexural strength of 29.14 MPa and tensile strength of 15.99 MPa. Micro-morphological investigation displayed that the copolymers had glossy and smooth impact resistance fractured surfaces, indicating distinctive fast brittle fracture features. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) revealed that the copolymers’ glass-transition temperatures were within a broad range from 44 to 72 °C. Thermogravimetric results demonstrated that the copolymers had excellent thermal stability, as all copolymers showed a high thermal initial decomposition temperature above 390 °C. 相似文献

Acyl phosphonates have been utilized as new acyl donors for cyanide‐catalyzed benzoin‐type reactions. Cyanation of acyl phosphonates, followed by a [1,2]‐phosphoryl migration generates the active acyl anion intermediate. The presumed (cyano)phosphate anion reacts with a variety of aryl aldehydes to yield phosphate ester‐protected, unsymmetrical benzoins in good to excellent yields. The unsymmetrical benzoin product can be obtained after deprotection of the phosphate ester with an aqueous amine solution. 相似文献
